Hallo Groove, sollte ohne Probleme funktionieren. Die Somikon-TFTs von Pearl haben jeweils eine eigene, eingebaute Grafikkarte, laut Pearl sollen bis zu 6 parallel davon zusaetzlich zu den eingebauten GraKa mit Monitoren funktionieren. Gut, 6 habe ich davon nicht, waer mir bei 90€ das Stueck etwas zu teuer :smilewink: Man darf nur nicht vergessen, dass sich die zu rendernde Bildschirmgroesse um etwa 1600 Pixel in der Breite vergroessert, ob das dann einen Einbruch der FPS bewirkt, weiss ich nicht. Noch etwas, einen Nachteil haben die Teile: unter Win7 laesst sich die Position der TFTs im Vergleich zu den anderen Monitoren *nicht* verschieben, sie haengen immer rechts oben in Relation zu den Monitoren! --> Treiberproblem. 1. Naja, was besseres gibt es kaum. Die Knoepfe koennen den Funktionen in den Optionen zugeordnet werden, so dass Du die untere Knopfleiste den Abris-Funktionsbuttons zuordnen koenntest, die anderen Knoepfe dagegen anderen Funktionen zuordnen kannst. So, hier ist ein Photo von meinem Rig... 2 7" Somikon (Pearl) TFTs hinter MFD cougars, G940, TrackIR und Saitek Game Pad so programmiert, daß die fehlenden HOTAS Funktionen (Boat, CMS, Pinky, dann die Comm Befehle und die UFC-Funktionen drauf programmiert sind. Bin ganz zufrieden... Gruß doc-e

Noch gibts keine Bilder, aber wenn ich 1. auf der Arbeit fertig bin, 2. die letzten Weihnachtsgeschenke gekauft habe, 3. meine Kinder im Bett habe und dann - endlich - Zeit habe wieder an den Computer zu gehen :pilotfly: werde ich hier ein Bild posten. Ob das im Online-Modus bremst? Weiss ich nicht, war bis jetzt noch nicht online, versuche erst die Systeme beherrschen zu lernen. Kann ich mir allerdings nicht vorstellen, im Moment arbeitet mein System (Win 7 64 Bit, i7 950, 6GB, Nvidia GTX 470, 32Bit-DCS-Release wegen TrackIR, G940, Cougar-MFD, Saitek GameControlPad) aber mit einer gesamt-Screen-Größe von 4800x1080 flüssig.

Also, bei mir geht´s mit zwei 7" TFTs von Pearl... Habe beide angeschlossen und die MFDs drauf und die TM MFD Cougar davor, geht einwandfrei. Was ein wenig doof ist: in Win7 64 Bit sind sie immer rechts und oben von den normalen 2 Monitoren, die Position lässt sich nicht einstellen. Nun, die Trainingstexte verschwinden in den kleinen Monitoren, das Funkmenu konnte ich so anpassen, daß es auf dem 2. Monitor erscheint. Nur die FUI file wo ich die Texte des Instructors einstellen konnte, fehlen mir noch.

Swapping through DSMS, I noticed that there is a store jettison program that seems to be selective - e.g. drop that fuel tanks, leave the rest on board. In the manual I didn´t find anything about it. Does anyone know something about it, how to use it? Thanx in advance, doc-e

If you continue having problems landing the black shark: 1. If you have the possibility: do helicopter training using FlightSimulator X, included are a bunch of helicopter related training missions that give you a first feeling towards helo flying 2. first try landing the bs like an aeroplane with forward movement of about 30 km/h: set collective to a slow descent of max. 1 m/s, nose slightly up until you touch the ground . Much easier for beginners (but you´ll have to know how to align to the runway) And don´t forget to lower gear. :smilewink: 3. fly with all autopilot and flight director ON except for altitude hold. Auto hover an standard trimming procedures are much more difficult. 4. Train to hover without auto hover help. Yes, you can do that. 5.training, training, training. 6. Then hover 5m above the runway, lower collective until you touch the ground. Retrim. Vertical takeoff, hover, do it again. Until it works with eyes closed. 7. Raise hovering height to 10m. Train again. 8. Raise hovereing height to 15 m. Train again. (in RL there might be obstacles around an helipad that you must avaoid to hit.) 9.trying to fly the bs without throttle system and rudder pedals is almost effortless. 10. and remember: train with FlightDirector Mode ON! Hello, I have configured a dual monitor setup using PhantomMonitorFix with Abris and Shkval on the left and the cockpit on the right side. Now I have the following problem: I have installed the enbseries gta hdr mod, and now I have always a very bright rectangle on the left monitor where there is a "blank" between shkval and Abris. Is there a possibility just to define a black rectangle in the "monitorsetup.lua" so that this bright signal from the hdr will be blacked out? :unsure: Thanks a lot for your help, Uwe

Under Options, have you checked sight distance? DCS BS always chooses medium graphics options, even with my machine (Dual Core 8850, Radeon 4870, 4 GB Ram), so I had to check it all. I never saw such "popups"...

Ah, and I forgot: the heading cues are fed into HUD by the INU-Panel on the right side, not by the ABRIS!

If you are in targetting mode or in another HUD mode: First when activated deactivate Cannon by [c] then reset Targetting mode [backspace]. Afterwards HUD is back in NAV mode. Shortly, 4 HUD modes: NAV, Cannon, ATG, A/A. Greetings, docehrenhoefer

Hello Hannibal, unfortunately I am at work, so I will not be able to post my .lua until I return home... I have two monitors, 19 and 17 inch, running on 1280x 1024. Running in windowed mode. (46 inch, *sigh* 3;O) ) Computer: Vista 32 on Intel CoreDuo E 8650 4 GB RAM, 4 GB via Memory-Boost, Mainboard Asus A5 with Radeon 4870 with 1Gb of Memory, AA, Filtering etc. controlled by Graphics Card. Programs in the Background: TrackIR, Smoothboard (I use WiiMote Project to emulate a TouchScreen) and AffinitySet. I think, the clue is your higher resolution with almost comparable hardware (except for your monitors...), though I changed my old GeForce 8800 GTS 640 to the Radeon lately, that made a difference of about 10 fps (for me..) Seems as if the Graphics Card Memory plays a larger role, also... Greetings...

@Hannibal Don´t see any difference between Full Screen Mode and windowed mode while flying. I don´t care about span mode or not, I can use affinity set and use both kernels under vista, having a mean fps of 35-50 with ABRIS and Shkval on secondary monitors. What can XP? @Rest of the world The Phantom Monitor Fix really works fantastic for me! This must be rewarded.

At least they made a review at all. In our german gaming magazines, they don´t even review simulations any more. Well, seems I´m a slowly dying species *sigh*

and my two cents... Normally, try to sneak in and attack all the dangerous targets with your guided ammo. Afterwards I use boresight aiming for the rockets (not shkval aiming!), medium bursts and try to get as many of the more harmless targets as possible while doing a fast ingress, the rest will be food for the cannon....
