TAKING A CALL WHILE GAMING?
webweaver40 replied to ZQuickSilverZ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have cell phone on a stand in front of me. Call comes in, I turn down headphones and turn on phone speaker. You can download this somewhere, I think it's called the practicality mod. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk -
Don't you just love how everyone just assumes and gives him financial advice? The guy already explained that money isn't the issue. He wants to hear from others who may have had some experience with dcs / xtal. If you don't have a valid response then shut up with your financial advice - that's not what he's asking for. You're welcome guys. I can't claim credit it for it though, just something I found when looking for the same thing. Converted it to PDF as I use PDF reader on my tablet as my secondary kneeboard Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I would just ignore vampire's nonsense comment. I did contact Andre directly. This was the response: "Thank you for reaching out. I don’t expect KW-908 model back to stock. But I keep a few reserved. I will let you know if it becomes available." I take that to mean, he is no longer producing them. Sounds like he has a few left, and probably some requests to fulfill. Should something fall through he may have something available. Not much to count on there. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I contacted the owner of gametrix a couple of weeks ago, he said none were available. He did not give me any more info as to any future production. I assume he is no longer developing them. I went ahead and ordered a realtus force feel seat, which from what I've heard, is a more updated version of the seat. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

[DCS BUG] Rudder pedals 'RZ' binding issue
webweaver40 replied to Dutch Baron's topic in Bugs and Problems
I had the paddle on my TM warthog joystick (joystick button 4) set as modifier. But I have it set that way again. It just worked after I deleted the config files and started over, setting rudder pedals up first before reassigning the modifier. It possibly may have worked w/out having to delete the config files first if I deleted the modifier, then setup the rudder pedals. Then reassigned the modifier. But I'm not sure. -
See this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=235194 I had the same problem with slaw pedals. Thought it was an f14 issue. It can be resolved on your end. Delete all the input config files from your f14 folder in saved games. Rebind from scratch, start with rudder. In my case, there was an issue with one of my modifiers.

Good points SouthPaw. I did order my slaw pedals from Ebay, so didn't have the typical wait time, but some inherent risk in the product and delivery - I got lucky. My tpr order took 2 days from Amazon, big plus - definitely agree with you. I guess the feel of the rudders is a subjective thing, maybe they're closer to the real thing than my reference from a virtual pilot experience. The slaws with a damper feel so dang good. But I just saw a video of someone jimmy-rigging a damper onto the tpr pedals. I wonder how that would improve things, especially for those that already like the tpr pedals?

[DCS BUG] Rudder pedals 'RZ' binding issue
webweaver40 replied to Dutch Baron's topic in Bugs and Problems
Got it working! Not sure exactly what it was, but something with my modifier key that I had setup on my Warthog Joystick (paddle button had a conflict). After deleting configs again, and this time setting up rudders before anything else. All is working well. Thanks for your patience IronMike. I had almost given up waiting for a new patch to change something. Your last msg sent me back to try one more time. So glad I did!!! -

[DCS BUG] Rudder pedals 'RZ' binding issue

No such luck IronMike :( Attaching pics showing other modules without issues and the F14 still showing rudder binding problem after deleting configs and rebinding. I really don't think this is a problem on my end. I really want to fly the F14 again. Dropbox to screenshots https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bhn76r6pxivot5e/AABPmC-Gr1AESFFcAb_sKsP6a?dl=0 -
I should mention why I didn't care for the TM TPR pedals, and actually preferred the cheaper Saitek ones at the time. though the tpr pedals are MUCH smoother than Saitek, the movement path is yuck. They "scoop" in their motion. They don't push straight forward, they push down then scoop up. Feels horrible, especially compared to the slaw pedals. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

If you're going to spend $500, what's a few hundred more to get the Slaw Viper RX pedals? Definitely worth the upgrade, coming from someone who has been on the Saitek, TM, Slaw path Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I will try that iron Mike, thank you Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk -
I can vouch for the slaw pedals. Best by far, but you do need the damper. I hated my tm tpr pedals. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Same problem here, Viper RX slaw pedals. All modules work fine, but not f14. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk -
I have the same problem with my Viper RX Pedals (Hotas is TM Warthog). Wheel brakes work, but rudder is red and does not work, but works with all other modules ( I have 13 modules). I have tried clearing it multiple times, rebooting computer, nothing works.. Guess I'll have to shelve the f14 until this is resolved :(

I purchased these (with damper) about 2 months ago and have not been able to make them work to my satisfaction. The damper works great if you alternate pushing left and right, but not if I push the same foot multiple times. For example, I push the right pedal I feel the hydraulic pressure then if I push the left pedal I feel the same hydraulic pressure - perfect. But, If I push the right pedal, release, and then push the right pedal again there is no hydraulic pressure. It always needs the counter push to function properly. Other issue I have is with the toe brakes. Just barely tapping the brake takes it to 50% on the axis, then as I further depress it starts from 0 like it should. I have tried tuning the axis settings in dcs every which way and have not been able to resolve the problem. I am curious if others have experienced these same issues and how you have resolved them. Thanks!

One thing I forgot to mention was that I am running a 2080ti card which is able to easily handle my 4k tv. If your hardware does not enable you to run a tv at 4k 60 fps, then obviously a gsync monitor is the way to go. You may get a better answer if you provide some details of your computer hardware.
