  1. What is the weight of your aircraft? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  2. His comparison was pimax 5k and reverb. His analysis is correct, Reverb definitely beats the pimax 5k. However, the pimax 8kx (which I was able to test at CES) is definitely better than the reverb in both visual quality and FOV - by far. So it depends on which headset from pimax someone is referring to. This is also true for the reverb which now has a distinction between G1 and G2. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  3. Thank you! I hated how the lighting was so borked since 2.5.6 and thought for sure ED would have fixed it in the July patch - so disappointed. I still have yet to find any recognition from ED that there is a problem, so I was discouraged thinking that this would never be addressed... then I discover this mod, which fixed everything for me!!! You have my greatest appreciation Mustang!
  4. Actually the Jester system takes away from realism with it's pop up GUI and canned responses. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  5. The cockpits are clickable to be clicked though. Nice setup btw Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  6. I've noticed the same thing. It's rather annoying. Now I've just gotten used to not even attempting to maneuver the tdc unless I'm facing toward the target. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  7. Lanzfield, as of lately the patches are on steam almost simultaneously Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  8. I'll be satisfied if all they do is fix the lighting Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  9. I was excited for this map, but after seeing the Syria map my attention is diverted to the middle East [emoji3] Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

  11. To answer the OP's question... I will use the flir on hud at night (flying through mountains and such - doesn't work so well over ocean). This allows me to work with ampcds and whatever else in the cockpit. If I'm in dangerous terrain and need to make a sharp turn to left or right, flip on nvgs to look to side and make sure it's safe to turn that direction. When straightened again, off go the nvgs and back to flir on hud. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  12. Fair enough smokey. My frustrations are solely with the company. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  13. Move the cloud quality slider all the way to the msfs2020 setting :) Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  14. A friend ordered a throttle from WinWing in Chinaa month ago, he received his product last week. So they don't get the covid excuse. Shoestring budget and waiting for a large enough batch? Hello, I prepaid for the product AND the shipping. Mind you this order was placed back in Feb 2019. And they have not even had an ounce of courtesy to respond to any of my emails with an update it any info whatsoever. Don't make excuses for this sorry company. If there are going to be excuses, let it come from them. But that will never happen, because they don't communicate. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  15. If DCS is your primary product, go with the Reverb (unless your ipd is our of range) Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  16. It really depends on which VR as VR quality is on a pretty big spectrum right now. I chose Track IR over VR for quite a while. Running top spec machine with 2080ti and very large monitor. Got Rift S, finally thought VR was good enough to play in it sometimes, but still preferred my TrackIr. Got the HP Reverb and now I'm 100% VR. I totally agree that the head turning is a pain (literally) compared to track ir, but I've accepted that disadvantage for the benefits I gain in VR, which I should clarify by saying the level of VR I've been able to attain. If I did not have the HP reverb and a machine to run the HP reverb at 188 super sampling and most settings on high, then I would probably answer your post on the TrackIR side. Bottom line: top end VR outweighs track IR. *I should mention that I have the pimax 8kx on order which I was able to test at CES 2020 and with the very wide Fov (like 200) the neck strain will be much less as I will be able to see a lot further back when turning head.
  17. Yes, I'm in the USA. I'm think I'm starting to believe there is some anti-American sentiment coming from Realteus and they must feel justified in stealing from Americans. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  18. I can verify that I'm having the same problem since latest patch Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  19. Ordered mine in Feb 2019, still no word or product. They may have gotten away with my money, but they gave away their reputation and credibility for it as I'm letting everyone know. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  20. The mask from the shaders mod has no probs with ic. But it's a moot point now that the mask is a part of the latest patch. The clarity of the 8kx was definitely a step up from the reverb, just not as big as I was expecting. But, that's comparing the 8kx at 100% ss to reverb at 188%. So it's pretty amazing that it still has better resolution with those settings. I see the 8kx going well into the future when better vid cards come out and increasing the ss. 21. I wouldn't run the 8kx with anything less than a 2080ti Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  22. Not sure which 8kx you tried, but this is completely wrong. I tested the 8kx at CES 2020 and it was nothing short of incredible with a sweet spot that spanned the entire fov of 170+. You sure you're not mixing up the 8k+ with the 8kx? I think you are. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  23. I hope there is improvement with the way it works in hornet. As it stands currently on Growling server, there's just too much busy work with the radar and sa page. When the action gets too close, too easy to get overrun and surprised by enemy. Happens all the time and frustrating as all hello. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for taking the time for the explanation, would be nice to have it in plain English and stripped of unnecessary details. We just want to know how to work the dang thing, which in it's current state is very finicky. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
