Whenever I enter the JTACS "Golf Golf" coords and select it as the steerpoint its always like 800+ miles away. I dont get this.

Alright then I suppose its time to keep practicing. The only JTAC practice mission I have starts me cold and dark so usually takes about 7 - 10 mins just to get airborne. Can you suggest any mission that starts you out ready to go and utilizes JTAC?

So in theory if I input JTACS coords to lets say waypoint 4, select waypoint 4, use TMS Aft Long, then China Hat Aft Long then my TGP should be aimed at waypoint 4 (JTACS cords), correct?

Does the HUD or TGP have to be SOI for that to happen?

To set the SPI to the current WP/Steerpoint do I just make the HUD SOI and use China Hat Forward Long? I figure when I input my JTAC coords in it would be useful to slave my sensors to that point.

Alright so how is an SPI created? All of these SOI, SPI, etc, etc get me really confused.

I have been reading posts, watching tutorials, and jumping into some of the training missions. However I still find my self quite lost in a few things. Feel free to try and make clear on any or all of these :thumbup: 1. Once I point a target in the TGP, how do I slave the MAV to the TGP? 2. When working with JTAC I feel more comfortable punching in the coordinates on my own instead of having them datalink it to me, any way to not accept their datalink and go on with manual coords? 3. Lets say JTAC gives me my coords, I input them in giving the name "JTAC1", change my steerpoint to JTAC1. How do I slave all sensors to that steerpoint? (JTAC1). 4. When I press "C" to center the current SOI sensor it centers it for just that second but doesnt stay centered with me. Because of that I often lose its symbol in the HUD making it extremely hard to figure out where my MAV or TGP is at. 5. I suppose allowing JTAC to send me coords would be ok but I also dont understand the whole "hooking" aspect and how I am supposed to use that. Video tutorials and such have "kind of" showed how but didnt give much info. Anyways, I appreciate any and all help on these questions. Will help me get a bit more familiarized with the sim!

I didn't, but just did. Just to clarify I am NOT disappointed with the purchase as I love the P51 and every other release in the series. I was just trying to get a bigger picture of what to expect, and possibly whats to come. Thanks for the clarification! :thumbup:

So assuming its left to modders, they plan to release the P51 with nothing more than a training area and P51 vs. P51 dogfights? Seems odd.

I assume that in order to have a P51 simulator they would need to have some Axis forces in the skies as well, right? With the A-10 you're primary roll was CAS and so they could get away with mostly ground targets inside the missions. So what types of enemy planes do they plan to model?

I have DCS A-10 and P51D installed

Alright I downloaded that. Do I just install it into DCS World or what? Do I need to reinstall all my modules ?

DCS A-10 1.1.2.1? I only see 1.1.1.1 on the download page. Also do I need to reinstall all my games into DCS World now? I am confused.

I am using DCS World to launch and play the P-51D Beta and I noticed at the bottom it shows the KA-50, A-10C, SU-25T, and P-51D as icons. Above the KA-50 and the A-10C there are dollar signs and when clicked there is a button to buy them. I already own both of the products with dollar signs ($) above them but DCS World doesnt recognize that?

Ah, I see now. I seem to download from their torrent options the fastest and that doesnt seem to be available yet :(

I am reading about BETA 3 patch and decided to log in and see if its available for download but havent found it, only BETA 2. So whats going on? lol

Hey folks after JTAC issues me the target and I see NEW TASK in my TAD, how do I "activate" it, or whatever the proper term would be to have the marker show up on the TAD?
