Yeah I will post a few tracks a bit later. One with FD on and one with it off and see what you folks think. Its still a pretty obvious choice for me to fly without it on. Call me weird :)

Again I have a different experience with that. With all the auto pilot buttons on except for Alt Hold I find I can fly the aircraft without a problem, trims perfect and performs perfectly. When I try to fly the aircraft with flight director on, it becomes harder to control, and seems as though I have to really fight the aircraft to get it to do what I want it to, and even then I can hardly get it to do what i want it to. So for me its almost an obvious choice to fly without flight director. I guess to each their own. Having a blast though, that's what matters :)

I do not see ED doing that anytime, if ever.. in the future. Not only that but I hope they don't. I would rather see them put my money, and their time and effort into making more military aviation simulators.

So I have noticed that when F/D AP is enabled it makes the aircraft very unstable and rather difficult to fly. I flipped it off and the bird flies smooth as can be. So What exactly is F/D AP used for, and why is it so much easier to fly the aircraft when its disabled?

I keep trying to install the patch and it freezes up after you choose if you want desktop icons or not and hit next... I have tried to run it like 5 times now and keeps freezing up. Anyone else have this issue or have any clue what I should do?

Hey folks I just recently installed this gem again and I forgot what I had to do, to have the mouse move my view as well as have the cursor visible for clicking. I know about LAlt + C but that only enables and disables one or the other. I know this is possible to do because I have done it before in the past. i just forgot how. Thanks folks.

I have reinstalled the game quite a few times over the years as I have gotten new compuetrs, updated old ones, etc. If for some reason I am out of activations am I pretty much screwed, or do they work with ya.

Hey folks after hearing about the release of the A10 Beta it has sparked my interest into the KA50 again as well. Over the years I have changed OS's, cleaned up my HDD, etc.. and was wondering if there was a way to see how many activations I have left on my serial. Thanks all.

Just making a post to spark this board a bit (seems its always slow). After learning how to control the aircraft, the wapon systems I have had a great deal of fun thus far :) Good work!

Where can I download some more missions? I am looking for both single player and multiplayer missions. Also, do the other people in a multiplayer game have to have the same mission that you HOST or will the server download it for them?

Anyone wanna do a coop mission or something? Let me know, I'll be here all night.

Yeah I've got an X52 throttle/stick set up so I've got the HOTAS.

Ah that was my next question. So make sure flight director is off when you do auto hover ?

Yeah finally got that figured out :) Now I just need to figure out how to keep it in a hover while I shoot stuff down, its a hit or miss thing for me, some times im able to keep it in a hover (auto hover) and other times I throw on auto hover and it just goes all over the place (and yes I make sure I am around 12 - 15 km/ps when I engage it)

After watching those videos I finally managed to bag my first few kills. Went out to the shooting gallery again and exhausted all my missiles on a few tanks and trucks :) I wanted to switch to cannons and try my hand at that but forgot how to switch to cannons and none of the switches in the pit looked like they would do the trick. So with no cannon kills due to lack of knowledge I headed back to base where I thought I'd make a nice smooth landing, well that didn't work out either ;) guess that needs a bit of practice. Really enjoying it so far though! any input on how to switch to cannons ?

So I loaded this sim up worried it might not function right without a head tracking device(as you saw in my previous post). To my surprise the mouse movement with the click-able cockpit worked GREAT! I loaded up the Shooting Gallery mission just to test my flying skills and learned early that TRIM is one of the most important aspects to keeping that beast stable. Anyways, I managed to take off, flew out to the shooting range area and actually managed to find a target on the Shkvl(sp?). Put my sights on it and realized I have no idea how to actually lock a target up or use any of the weapon systems for that matter, heh. So things are looking good. Could anyone point me to a video tutorial or something that shows and describes in depth how to use the weapon systems?

I think I've made it quite clear already that I will not be putting money towards a trackIR or have the time to learn to build one. So we can stop with trying to push a TrackIR onto me and telling me how great it is, I already know of its greatness and have played with one before. Let me say it again, I know how great it is and awesome it is and all that stuff. I just simply cannot buy one at the moment so please stop with the advertisements ;) I am more interested in gameplay without one, I've heard enough about how good it is with one.

yes I understand that it greatly enhances the experience. However, due to lack of money and the job market the way it is, I wont be spending money on one for a very long time. Just wanted to know if you can still properly fly the aircraft and use its systems without the use of a trackIR.
