  1. From the mission editor you do this? EDIT: Alright I figured it out :) Thanks!
  2. Not sure if this is the right spot for this thread, so feel free to move it if its not, heh. Anyways, I made a mission which is a simple JDAM practice sort of mission where you are loaded with the proper PODS and about 6 JDAMS. The only issue is I cannot get the "player" A10 to start on the ground, not moving. If I type 0 for hit Alt and 0 for his speed it auto defaults the 0 to a 30 and the speed to like 250 so when the mission starts it kinda drops you at 30ft, rather annoying. Anyone know how to make an A10 spawn on the ground, not moving?
  3. Hey folks as I am still in the process of getting my HOTAS profile set up, I was looking thru the games Options > Controls and found Cycle Weapon and Change Weapon but none of these seemed to change the weapon/rail on the DSMS page. What should I look for in the games options > controls that deals with changing the rail/weapon you are using? Is it possible to make it switch rails using one of the axis sliders on my X52 throttle?
  4. Ugh stupid me had my trim down profiled as "trim right" so thats why I thought it wasnt working when i was testing it, kept wondering why I would pitch right real hard when trying to trim down, heh.
  5. Here is a real world story about "you know you've trained to much in your cessna when..." I was 18 yrs old and just got all the books and stuff I needed to start my private pilots certification. I had just been on a 4 hour class and when I got in my car after I was done and put it in reverse I hit the right peddal as hard as I could (gas peddal) to try and turn my car to the right. hahahah :)
  6. That does not seem to work unless I am doing something wrong. Here is a screenshot of the profile page I am working on. http://tinypic.com/r/30uwg1t/7 Its almost like it hits RCtrl then releases, then presses / instead of doing it together like Rctrl + /
  7. Actually since this thread is still open. I am still having issues with the profiling of the X52 software. How do I assign a button to do something like "/ + RCtrl" for trim down? Can the profile software allow you to do a macro of sorts so that one button will emulate two keyboard key presses for a function like this?
  8. Bah, mark this post for deletion, I figured it out.
  9. Hey folks after enough toying around and learning a bit about the A10 I am finally ready to start putting together a profile that suits me. I have no problem up until now. I want to assign one of my HAT switches to act as the "Coolie Switch" but only when the pinkie trigger is engaged. I have no problem setting up its functions when the pinkie switch isnt engaged but when I hold the pinkie switch it and press one of the directions on the HAT switch it changes it to Mode 1 + Pinkie on the direction I switched to which is good, it recognizes me holding pinkie and the direction I want, however how do I assign a key/macro to it onces its activated because the second I release the pinkie switch it goes back to regular mode.
  10. Thats funny you mention that video because I watched it just after making this post and was able to hit 3/3 of my marked targets using the new flight plan method, very handy. I havent gotten that CCIP INVALID error again so who knows what was going on there.
  11. Hey folks, seeing a strange error in my HUD for the first time and unsure of what this means. I've got 6 JAMS onboard and when I point/paint my target and hold TMS FWG LONG to bring the CCRP vertical line (forgot the name, doh) around to my target, it suddenly gives me that error in the HUD, and another one at the bottom of the HUD. I have dropped JDAMS several of times and have never seen this. Screenshot link below: http://tinypic.com/r/aktptx/7
  12. Also is there anyway to change your weapon load out when doing quick missions? that's how I have been practicing and they don't give me any unguided bombs (at least I don't think). I am picking the very first one which gives you 2 x AGM, 1 x JDAM, 1 x GBU-12
  13. Doh! I flip flopped em, thought I had an MK82 ready to rip. Guess I should double check my DSMS. Would that make any difference though ?
  14. I couldnt find where to set SEM on the GBU-12's profile setup.
  15. I have tried everything. Come at it higher with steeper dive, lower with a less steep dive. Some times the MRS is above the PIPER which doesnt give an X but when I pickle the weapons with the target in the center of the PIPER the bombs still land way off. ugh.
  16. I have read the manual regarding CCIP drops and still cannot figure out whats going on here. Basically no matter what I drop in CCIP I have that X in the middle of my CCIP piper. Below is a link to a screenshot to better illustrate the situation. How do I correct this as my bombs are hitting off target! http://tinypic.com/r/2pzgwp5/7
  17. Anyone got any good X52 profiles to share? Remember, just X52, not X52 Pro. I think there is a difference in their profile files. So if you got a good X52 (non-pro version) profile let me know :)
  18. Ah yes of course, my bad :)
  19. Weird I just watched my own track of the multiple JDAM release and the track must be bugged. When I watched it no weapons came off the rail, strange. Oh well at least I know I was able to do it :)
  20. Woohoo! I cant believe it. After just 3 tries I finally got 2 JDAMS off the rail and on target all in one pass!!!!!!! Here is the track for anyone interested: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=04958972171462617556
  21. Here is the link to the track: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=97537919586799795997 Keep in mind that the Maverick action is near the end of the track. The beginning consists of GAU and rocket runs, JDAM's, and GBU-12's I am not an expert and I have probably made several of mistakes.
  22. After reading that, its off to try it :)
  23. I am trying to think about how to do that. Just slew the TGP to a diff target after you release your first JDAM and pickle right away ?
  24. So as some of you have probably noticed I have posted in here quite a bit asking questions about various things. Well between your guys replies, reading the manual, and trial and error I have gone from (this morning) hardly being able to fire a maverick (mostly got lucky), to (tonight) being quite proficient using the TGP to better lock up the MAV's, to also being able to successfully drop the GBU-12's and hit target, to being able to drop JDAMS!!! I must say thats quite a bit of accomplishment for me in one day! Sure there is room for improvement across the whole spectrum but in one training grounds mission I was able to take off, get a GAU run in, in conjunction with simultaneous rockets to score a few kills, came back around for a 2nd pass and de-railed a JDAM on target to net 3 kills!, and the story goes on. More passes, more kills until I was winchester. To top it off as a bonus I even managed to RTB for a successful landing. Sorry for the long post, I am just a bit excited to finally be catching on. I will post the track if anyone is interested.
  25. Ah finally got a JDAM off the rail and on target :)
