Hi Jsr
Not sure which file you need for all planes, but using as an example, for the F-16 its the Pilot_F16_patch.dds file.
I`m assuming you have access to photoshop, which ive used for the following tutorial:
Open the DDS file, and you`ll see the following:
Open the Patch/Nametag you wish to add:
The way I work is as follows, i select the surrounding area, and delete it (make sure you unlocked the layer so you are left with a empty background)
Paste your Patch in the DDS file, and resize it you your liking:
Then reselect the file (I use the quick selection tool with sample all layers ticked off)
Then go to the channels window, untick all and tick the Alpha 1 channel:
You should see something like this:
Now fill the selected bit with white, invert the selection and fill the white bits you don`t want to see with black till your left with something like this:
Then renable all channels, and untick the alpha 1 channel, save the file as a DDS, move it to the folder of the livery you want the patches/nametag to appear in, and be sure you have the line: {"pilot_F16_patch", 0 ,"pilot_F16_patch",false}; added to the description.lua of the livery you want this to appear in.
Hope this helps
