Hey Folks, I`m working on making a Illinois ANG pack, and one of the falcons will have this paintjob: So far this is what ive got. And i`m looking for help locating the bits marked with green. Any help is appreciated.:thumbup:

Hi Jsr Not sure which file you need for all planes, but using as an example, for the F-16 its the Pilot_F16_patch.dds file. I`m assuming you have access to photoshop, which ive used for the following tutorial: Open the DDS file, and you`ll see the following: Open the Patch/Nametag you wish to add: The way I work is as follows, i select the surrounding area, and delete it (make sure you unlocked the layer so you are left with a empty background) Paste your Patch in the DDS file, and resize it you your liking: Then reselect the file (I use the quick selection tool with sample all layers ticked off) Then go to the channels window, untick all and tick the Alpha 1 channel: You should see something like this: Now fill the selected bit with white, invert the selection and fill the white bits you don`t want to see with black till your left with something like this: Then renable all channels, and untick the alpha 1 channel, save the file as a DDS, move it to the folder of the livery you want the patches/nametag to appear in, and be sure you have the line: {"pilot_F16_patch", 0 ,"pilot_F16_patch",false}; added to the description.lua of the livery you want this to appear in. Hope this helps :thumbup:

@Dmitri, Same issue here, did not have it before the update, tried launching without mods, with mods.. right now i`m launching successfully once every..6-7 tries. Will see if Bignewy`s sig can help me.

Hi Urbi, Thanks for the suggestion. But these are liveries from the 80`s & 90`s, and photo`s show full color (and even at times glossy) markings, so the current color seems realistic. Started work on a 51th FW pack and yes with modern liveries there should be a lower saturation / or transparency.

/n00bmode engaged Alpha channel?. Is that the pilot_F16_patch_nm.dds file?. Because i`m using one that has no defined patch shape.. (so guess its not that file).

Hey Folks, anyone know if its possible to modify the shape of the arm patches?. As seen below I added the wing patch, but in the sim its getting a default shape from somewhere.. anyone know how i can change that?. Thanks.

Hey Folks, Since the release ive been working on a skin pack of my fav USAFE F-16 wing that flew when i was an active airplane spotter, the 401th TFW. Right now I have 12 skins finished, and have about 3-5 left to go, should be easy as they are just regular planes, no difficult (looking at you El Conquistador..and your damn colored intake stripes..) so expect a release of all the aircraft sometime early next week.
