  1. argument invalid, those are mig-28's :music_whistling:
  2. Well done toad!
  3. Ah Cool, I didn't know if the issues people were talking about were due to a lack of high quality recordings or just a personal preference thing :) There was no disrespect intended, as I think it is really cool what you do for free for the community, and I have a couple of your other mods and think they are awesome =)
  4. Just an FYI, my question was not so I could make a mod, more so I could send someone else the files and THEY can make a mod....lol. I am a herpaderp when it comes to modding :P
  5. Hypothetically, if I could weasel my way into the hangar of someone with a p51, what would one need to create a sound mod? I ask because a friend of mine works for a company that has a P51 in the hangar. I have NO IDEA if I could gt access to it, or if the guy would let me record sounds from it. But it could be worth a try.
  6. Here ya go guys, takin it old school !
  7. I put some of the more popular methods to do what you are asking in a thread in the "input and output" forum here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127691
  8. Hello all, I recently purchased 2 more 24" monitors for a 3 monitor setup (going to add the 27" for the gauges soon I hope :pilotfly:). I realized that there are guides spread all over the forums, so I thought it may be nice to at least get the basic and most popular/helpful guides in one spot. So I decided to at least provide the links to all of them in one place. I did not write or help compose ANY of these guides, I deserve NO CREDIT WHATSOEVER for any of the work. The guys that answered the questions have earned all of it (hopefully this is a clear enough disclaimer, so nobody thinks I am taking credit for something I am nowhere near smart enough to do :joystick:). If any of you have noticed extremely popular threads on this subject that I have missed, please feel free to link them. So, with no further adieu, here is my list o' linkies...lol Start here- Dummies guide for the basics http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/214771/ Multi-monitor setup guide http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 View port/Multi-head users http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=88996&highlight=easy+monitor+configurator Now that you understand some of the terms, this program makes it easier, hence the name "Easy Monitor Configurator". (please let me know if the problems with 1.2.8 compatibility are widespread, so I can remove this one) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71831 THESE ARE FOR GAUGES AND TOUCHSCREENS Helios- http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/downloads How to export gauges http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716&highlight=helios Export to network PC http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116811 If this thread needs to be somewhere else, please feel free to move it. Take care everyone and I hope this helps some of you!
  9. ah cool! I assume that requires some .lua fiddling?
  10. same issue here, would it help to send someone a dxdiag or is there a crash report we can forward?
  11. Awesome guys thanks! The problem was I clicked 3 screens. Silly me, I thought 3 screens meant having a computer connected to 3 monitors. Little did I know it was for curved or projection. Seems to me there coild habe been a more accurate name. Like projection or surround or something. :(
  12. I have X65 and tbh I am thinkin about picking up the warthog (stick only). I do ok with the helos, but it is a pain to get the pressure just right and maintain it. That being said, I am a bad pilot that doesn't usetrim or autopilot very often....lol. I do absolutely love the number of buttons and switches on the throttle. There is a small spot on he throttle thatmakes a HUGE diff as far as input goes for collective, but once you are used to it, it isn't too bad.
  13. I know the answer of that is next! It is the P38 CorLightning M, the wings are foldable with the distintive V shape, and is powered by a pair of pratt and whitney PT-6/CL AFTERBURNING turboprops. Yup, I got it all figured out. Now, where is my cookie? :megalol:
  14. You evil, evil man.
  15. Hey there fellas, quick question for you fine folks. I just picked up 2 more 24" 1920x1200 monitors and I am not sure how to get the setup right. Right now the frame for the canopy doesn't align between the monitors, and the wings look like they point forward like an SU-47. Last I recall, the P51 had wings that were straight ;). Should I use nvidia surround, EMC, or softth? A combination thereof? Or is there a better alternative out there. I recall seeing someones sig with a link to a help thread for config of multi monitor setups, but I can't seem to find it (3 hours of sleep per night for 4 nights thanks to a cranky 6 month old will do strange things to the mind....lol). Thanks in advance =)
  16. May want to consider a smaller touchscreen and upgrade your video card? Or if you have a monitor just sitting around collecting dust, use it with one of the monitor touchscreen converters. Maybe make a powerglove? I will google and put up links when I get the chance. Hopefully this afternoon
  17. Damn....I just had to get the x65. Looks lkke I may have to pick up a warthog (stick only) so I can partake of your goodies. Damn...that didn't sound right....lol
  18. ^^This is accurate. When I was in the U.S. Army, my job was stinger gunner. We actually carried 6 as I recall, the hummer's had these really cool racks on them to carry the missiles. I actually got to fire 2 of them in real life =) (unfortunately it was at drones, but I got 2 kills  ) I remember in training they informed us that the stinger has a +97% kill rate when fired correctly. They also informed us that once we fired our 1st missile, our remaining life expectancy was less than 5 seconds, as pilots didn't appreciate having our missiles chase them down....lol. I don't know how accurately the usage of the stinger is modeled in-sim, but best bet is VERY low and VERY fast so the gunner doesn't have a chance to lock onto you, because if he gets lock, you will probably go KA-BOOM!.
  19. I can't driv3 the thing worth a damn, but I am guessing that has more to do with the flesh surrounding the stick :pilotfly:

    sale?

I need one for the p51....I have been resisting but my willpower is getting low....lol
  21. I will give that a shot, thanks =)
  22. Hey all, I am having a problem binding commands to my g keys on my G19 keyboard. When I press ctrl, alt, or shift, the logitech gaming software doesn't differentiate right from left. But for a lot of our commands, the side matters. I know I saw something a long time ago about it but can't find the thread now, so any help is greatly appreciated. I am using version 8.45.88 if that helps =) Thanks in advance!
  23. Excellent, thanks for the input :) is there a preferred brand/vendor for replacement microswitches?
  24. Hey there folks, I hope yu are having a good morning (or evening, afternoon, whatever it is wherever you may be ;) ). Ibhave a question for you, oh gurus of input and output =) . I currently own 3 sticks and 2 throtttles that I would like to combine to create a super nifty, ultra-cool, frankenstick! ;) the sticks are as follows: 1. X52, which the left hat, and 2 buttons are inop. 2. X65, fully functional 3. Thrustmaster Pro FLCS (REALLY old, gameport) Here is what I am thinking, I would like to be able to use the grip from the 65 with the pots from the thrustmaster for helos and WWII aircraft, but would also like to still retain the use of the force sensing stick for fast movers. Do you think if I use the board from the x52, I could connect the pots from the flcs? If yes, could I use cannon plugs to make the stick interchangeable? Foreseen problems: 1. I have no idea if I the pots can interface with any of the other components 2. I have never tried to mod a stick of ANY kind, so my knowledge is minimal 3. I also do not know any programming languages, so I would have to be able to use the saitek drivers. 4. I have not disassembled the 65 to take a look at the innards and have not been able to find a good photo of what it looks like. Do any of you have a photo that would work? I googled it, but could not find anything that showed the wires and such Let me know what yu guys think, any inout is greatly appreciated :)

    My TARDIS

Absolutely stunning work! Keep on with the updates. You are giving me many ideas. However, allocating funds from "KitchComm" will affect the final decisions....lol
