  1. Nowhere yet. Gotta play with the recently released roughmet-patch. Maybe the skins look better with these textures. But atm I have not much time to do it. I'll release 'em when I'm happy with it. ;)
  2. Needed some Eights for the Persian Gulf...
  3. I needed a skin for the Persian Gulf. Then I realized how crappy the template/mapping is. Holy moly!! So I figured, I should do one or two more. Now as I have done a base. Well, it's not exactly one or two in the end... lol If the NSRC would operate a Huey. This one here is based on an AW139: AbuDhabi Aviation. They operate 212s and 214s. Some of them ("Bombers") were used for firefighting in Europe. I had to make some compromises, because of the sh***ty mapping and due to the fact that the UH-1 is not a 212. So bare with me. ;) Same applies like for the ones above. Aerogulf skins based on 212s aswell: Any interest in these? :)
  4. As the title says, is there a tutorial to add an object to an existing DCS cockpit? I couldn't find any specific infos in the forums. The starting point is: 1. I have a .obj and a .png file. It's a small part of an existing Xplane - mod. 2. The object moves accordingly to the movement of the aircraft. 3. I want to add it to the Mi-8 and to the Huey in DCS. 4. It's pretty much clear that the .png deals with it's texture. So that's not the problem. 5. I guess the model itself and it's movement are stored in the .obj file. 6. Is there a way to convert it to an .obj file which can be used by DCS? Blender maybe? 7. Will it need a .lua file? What I guess is: 1. The .obj needs to be converted to an .obj useable by DCS. 2. If that's done, it needs to be positioned in the .edm of the respective aircraft. 3. It may need a .lua to be "adressed" by DCS. I'd very much appreciate if a modder would A: take over that very little project, or B: could shed some light on that, so I can do it myself. I have close to zero experience in such things, besides some model editing back then in GTR2 - times. Dunno if that helps. I'm more on the skinning side of things. Thx in advance!
  5. Sooo... I see you figured out the parking spot thingy by now? This is pretty awesome mate. Thx a lot! Now I'm waiting for the civilian people you spoke of. :) Thing is, I'm currently making a civilian mission. It has random rescue and transport missions. Like Wehwehchen's Navada Freelancer mission. But around Dubai. And much bigger. Your mod is the perfect thing for it. In one (or maybe two) of the transport missions you have to pick up some wealthy person at the top of a building and bring him/her to another spot. So the civilian people would be perfect. ;) Do you think a person looking like a sheikh would be possible to add? If it's a huge amount of work, leave it alone. The workload should equal the usage. But if it can be done easily... :D But don't rush! At the moment I'm really happy about the parking lots... *...off to the ME* :sorcerer:
  6. +1 Would make your great mod even greater.
  7. :megalol: Made my day!
  8. :( Sad. The w.i.p screens looked promising.
  9. Wow! Didn't notice that 'til now. It looks stunning so far. I'd pay for it if it's done properly. ;) Oh and I'd be in if some painting work is needed. Just in case.
  10. Awaiting approval...
  11. ...one of the greatest looking skins for the Eight. If not the greatest one.
  12. Hello all! New member here... I have a question to the experienced painters: Are there some templates for the Mi-8 pilots uniform patches? Atm I try to edit existing ones, but the alpha channels does not work. I've always a white background instead of transparency. Maybe I've got a wrong approach in exporting the edited patch thingy. EDIT: nvm, got it. In the meantime some shots of something I'm working on: :)
