  1. If i m not wrong, then a munition can only have one livery in the game I might be mistaken here, but I've hear that somewhere before That said, you can change the color of the missiles while it's on your plane as a part of your livery I think It's definitely something worth looking into Try getting in touch with the people on the livery discord, they might help you further https://discord.gg/kVWcKmN Sorry if i was more confusing than helpful!
  2. Integrity Check basicly makes sure you didn't modify your game, which could give you an advantage in combat For instance, some time ago i saw a mod on the user files that added (among other things) AIM-120's to the A-10C, which is not something majority of players wanna see The IC will treat almost any modification of the game the same (excluding liveries), so any mod will trigger the IC fail If you want to play on IC protected servers, make sure you have a vanilla install There are tools that help you with mod managment, for instance JSGME To answer your question: It doesnt matter if you go to ME or not, if you have mods installed, it'll trigger an IC fail.

    Mirage F1 hype

Well, most sources note the plane's loadout was 2x Fox2, 2x Fox1 for CAP This is the 1st instance i see of an AIM-9 being mounted there Not saying it's impossible, infact i wondered why not put more missiles on the plane if it has the hardpoints Just not sure if this means we'll have a 4-2 load for Fox2-Fox1 missiles Don't wanna overhype myself

    Mirage F1 hype

Interesting. An AIM-9 on this hardpoint... Makes me wonder if 2x Fox-1 and 4x Fox-2 would be possible
  5. Y u do dis? Why wheel chocks on cold start?
  6. I m trying to survive in a pinch :( I m perfectly fine with having to execute strikes with nozzles all the way back, I just wish i could fire A/A munitions with nozzles forward It would give you a lot more flexibility in a fight
  7. A simple "no" would've sufficed man, no need to be rude about it
  8. Well, i need it about as much as ice cream or candy I'll be ok without it, but it would be nice to have it
  9. Is there any way to make the plane fire weapons when the nozzles are pointed down? Maybe a ground safety switch, or a setting somwhere? It got me killed and has been a great inconvienience a number of times I realize you would never do such a thing operationally, in a real jet, but i need it :joystick:
  10. *Top fo the TAD shows info about the hooked (highlighted) target *Not with jester. The AWG-9 will try to assign priorities, and while a RIO can interfere, Jester doesnt try *Dim targets are normal detections, Highlighted target is hooked. Once you've fired missiles, steady highlight indicateds TWS guidance (i think), while flashing indicates an active missile on the target However, since missile guidance still wasnt properly implemented, flashing is not accurate, and can be ignored (again, i think) *If you had a good solid track on every bandit, bandits you've fired on should become steadly highlighted until missiles go active, at which point they should flash (again, not properly implemented yet) *The timer on the left side of a bandit you've fired on is estimated time to hit. The further away you shoot from, the less accurate it tends to be. Once that reaches 0, and the bandit isnt dead, it's time to fire again or run Some of this info might not be a 100% accurate, as i haven't flown the 14 in a while, and haven't followed the development to a tee Would be good if someone could chime in and correct any mistakes that i might've accidentally placed here!
  11. The Fakour 90 shouldnt be that difficult to reproduce, the airframe dynamics are the same as the Phoenix, as it has the same body. Some tweaks to the motor might be neccesary, and it is fox 1 only AFAIK, but other than that, i don't see big issues That said, i m not a dev or an SME on this, so wth do i know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Would be nice tho
  12. You can basicly put any munition on any plane in DCS, and in some cases, AI will be able to use it (I once got an AI F-16 firing sparrows. They were pretty shit, but it worked), but in overwhelming majority of cases, the player will not be able to use that weapon, due to lacking integration to the cockpit system Because the APKWS to the Huey rockets is basicly what a GBU-12 is to the Mk-82, so it *might* work, but i wouldnt bet on it You're gonna have to find the file that has all the default loadouts for the plane, and add one in there You'll have to copy the code for the munition, and paste it onto the station Some lua editing, not that much good luck!
  13. So how do you boresight it now?
  14. Title Does it matter if someone got the original A-10C years or days before the upgrade package comes out? I m considering getting the A-10C now for full 60, and then getting the upgrade for 10, and get both the A-10C and the A-10C II, but i m not sure if it matters when someone got the original A-10C
  15. Also, if we're going all out, why not add Su-27's and 33's?
  16. I see you included R-77 missiles You should know only the MiG-29S variant can actually equip them at all, and it can do it on all 6 of it's stations Cheers
  17. Some do. And often it's less about the kill count, and more about the fact that someone spent some time getting into position to get a kill, putting effort towards it, and waiting for his reward for that effort. If someone then comes in and steals that kill, they deprive that person from getting that reward. Human brains do like their dopamine
  18. As long as you and your bandit don't mask behind terrain when looking at your awacs, link 4 works fine. the problem is, half the time the bandit isnt even called by awacs on this server, because basically everyone flies low While link 4 may not have trouble in other servers, on this server specifically, me and my RIO find good 80% of our targets with the AWG-9, not Link 4 Of course, if the fight was to be taken high, Link 4 is somewhat comparable to Link 16, tho still lacking many functions link 16 provides (own flight aircraft markings, bandit numbers and lock indicators, linking into everything with link 16, as oppose to AWACS only or flight of 4 only with link 4 etc) My point is, Link 4 doesnt give THAT much of an advantage over planes that don't have it. The AWG-9 is a far more useful source of info, if your RIO is good
  19. Yes, I know, hence why I said "and in tomcats case, a dodgy DL at best" Link 4 is severely limited when compared to Link 16, and that's assuming the signal is there. Often if you're low and far from the awacs, you won't get a DL signal at all
  20. I think the F-16/F-18 have no place on the server Even if stripped of their weapons, their avionics alone give them a huge advantage The SA is amazing, you look on your screen and know immediatly where the enemy is, their JHMCS allows them to immediatly lock and IFF almost anything they see (I hear you, MiG-29 has one. It's only a circle tho, and is not anywhere NEAR as useful), and the ACM radar modes mean you basicly don't have to spot. Radar does it for you On top of that the 18's instantanious turn rate and high AOA control is almost unmatched. Both the 16 and the 18 are very very good rate fighters. Long story short, they are truly modern fighters with avionics from 2000's. If this was a PvE expierience, and we're suppouse to pretend they are early models of the planes, that would be fine, but considering the nature of PvP, players will hold onto every advantage they get. If they are suppouse to fill an A/G role, (which i personally don't think needs filling in on blufor. Between the Hog, Harrier and Viggen, there's more than enough options), giving them only dumb munitions would mean they are almost useless in the role, as they either have to drop from high alts, or be shot at by strelas, where as giving them mavs and harms, and some GBU-12 would be truly devastating to redfor's forces Remember how the mirage performed on the server? It'll basicly be that, but on stereoids in A/A, even if they don't get any missiles. As for A/G, it's actually compareable to a harrier, but it will hand your ass to you on a silver platter if you try to intercept it The 14, 15 and 29 can have a place on the server, tho with limited stores, and in limited numbers. Their avionics (especially Tomcat) fit the era, with no SA pages and in tomcats case, a dodgy DL at best. It is much more difficult to keep track of what's going on in these planes, as they don't literally display where everyone is in real time, and takes actual skill to fight using them. Since it was added, there has been a number of Tomcats that are killed by MiG-19's and MiG-21's. Those 3 planes also have a bigger focus on A/A (again, tomcat is an exception here), which wouldnt have a huge effect on the ground fight, except if they are escorting strikers I want to reiterate that this is my opinion, but having flown dozens of hours in the 15, 16 and 29, and hundreds in the 18 and the 14, i feel like it has some truth to it On top of that, i do like the push for more modern aircraft, but this is just too much Cheers, and thanks again for keeping this server alive! Ps. I think Israeli F-15's working with US Navy F-14's going up against Syrian MiG-29's would be a cool scenario, but as always, I m gonna leave it up to you Alpen
  21. Here's the thing with the AIM-7F It's kinda shit (which is good for this server) If you pull just before it's about to hit you, chances are it's gonna miss, where as the R-27R in the same situation will hit more often than not It also has a bit lower range than the 27R. Not a lot, but it will matter if engaging a Tomcat Not gonna touch on some comments around here regarding these 2 in a dogfight, just gonna say it depends on the pilot, as either plane can take out the other. Imho the Fulcrum has the advantage there, thanks to easier high AOA control, but as said, the pilot matters, not the plane. No, the MiG-29 doesnt have an advantage because it carries less missiles. Unless you mount phoenixes/bombs on the 14, there will be no noticable difference in performance. The fulcrum does however get a slightly better missile, making it more suitable for taking out high value targets (like the Tomcat), where as the 14 with it's half a dozen fox-1's is perfect for picking out MiG-21's in numbers, while still being capable when dealing with 29's All that said, you have to remember how each plane was meant to be used The Tomcat could essentially be it's own AWACS with the powerful AWG-9, but that requires a good RIO. So far i've only seen a handful fully crewed 14's around. Learn how to RIO, or find someone who already can do that, and i promise, the Tomcat will suddenly become a whole lot more fun The Fulcrum was designed in an age where the plane was a tool in the hands of the GCI controller, not the pilot. Sneaking and relying on GCI will be a much more suitable tactic for that plane. The 14 can't do anything if you give it a Fox-1 from 5 miles behind him. The IRST is a really scary tool if used right. Use it! And if you have a human GCI, make sure he's giving you all the calls you need to make that intercept. Killing Tomcats is not a stroll in the park! All the fights are highly situational. As long as the situation is to your advantage, you will have an upper hand. Pick your fights carefuly. Having that advantage of terrain you can hide behind, or friendly sam underneath you, or a swarm of planes you're flying with will make it much harder for the enemy to kill you. Just fly smart guys. These 2 planes are a huge threat to eachother, and everything around them :pilotfly:
  22. Hope this isnt too annoying Alpen, but i need to bring this up again In the mission "Battle over Sukhumi unleashed" the MiG-29's get 12 R-27R's and 24 R-60M's on their spawn base of Maykop, plus 12 R-27R's and 36 R-73's(!) at Sochi, which is much closer to the battle Meanwhile, Tomcats are limited to only 24 Sparrow F's, and can only pick them up at their spawn base of Nalchik Additionally, unlock system in that mission (sinking 2 ships) makes it so either the Tomcat, or the MiG-29, and then then maybe the Tomcat gets unlocked, if someone manages to kill the ships that are already in port The MiG-29's will dominate in close range engagements, having reliable all aspect IR missiles, where as the Tomcats can use their overwhelming number of sparrows in medium range engagements. It is worth noting that if the tomcat is to rely on the number of missiles it carries, giving both planes the same number of SARH will put the tomcat at a slight disadvantage, as it cannot afford to use it's only counter to the MiG-29's ; that being not getting close and proper BVR. Essentially, Tomcats will run out of SARH much sooner than Fulcrums, if they always take max load of 6 sparrows, vs max of 2 R-27R's I know the Tomcat can carry up to 6 sparrows, but not letting it have heaters while allowing the 29 to have them (arguably the better one of the 2; AIM-9L vs R-73) seems like a stretch to me. The Tomcat will be dead meat as soon as the MiG-29 manages to close in, which isnt all that difficult if the tomcat stays aggressive Is this missile setup intentional? Thanks again for the patience. I appriciate what you do Alpen
  23. Thank you Alpen! Much appriciated
  24. Similar issues again In the mission "Battle over Sukhumi Unleashed", MiG-29's get 12 R-27R's, while tomcats get no fox-1 whatsoever. There's only a bunch of AIM-7E's, which the tomcat cannot equip, as it uses the HB_AIM-7 munition Pls fix
