  2. I'd double check if that section was in the autopilot section. I don't think the Tomcat had any automatic trim outside of autopilot.
  3. No. You can't tell jester to do it. The closest thing you can do, is get an STT lock, and then tell jester to break it. TCS will maintain the lock, sometimes even when you STT another target
  4. If you've taken any battle damage, it could've messed with your engine and inlet systems, but that's the only thing i can really think of
  5. It is implemented, but it's functionality is rather limited. (Not by implementation, but by how it worked IRL, AFAIK) DISCLAIMER What i m about to write out is from what i remember from the manual, and what i think it'd do. It's possible i m wrong here. Take this with a grain of salt, and i'd reccomend testing this. If anyone sees a mistake in what i m writing, please correct me! You CAN slave the radar to TCS, and it will illuminate the target. Pretty sure it works a lot like FLOOD mode. Doesnt give any info from the radar, as the target isnt locked by the radar, and only TCS, but It SHOULD guide your missiles in. You can see the radar beam being directed to the bandit on the DDD. Again, i reccomend you test this yourself to be sure Cheers
  6. I like the current implementation of jester's nervousness, tho i do agree, it goes overboard sometimes. I think a "calm down" jester command would be a great addition to the crew contract submenu

    If you're asking for a G-limiter mod for the tomcat, can you really say you've mastered it? The only way around it is to just pull less G It's like the fire select on early AK-47's. Your trigger finger.

There's a problem with Mirages in the "Battle over Sukhumi unleashed" mission Unlocking them is fine, i like how you have to put in effort to have them, however, once you unlock them, you can't use them, unless you fly a huey there. about 100nm trip Here's why The Mirage 2000 spawns with wheel chocks on (I don't know why, it's dumb if you ask me. It has a parking brake after all). Ground crew usually removes them, so it's barely ever a problem. It is here, because the airfield doesn't become red when you unlock the Mirages There is no ground crew to remove your wheel chocks It's impossible to use Mirages, even if the unlock criteria are met Presumably the same problem would presumably be found in other missions that have the element of unlocking better aircraft
  10. The smokewinder essentially mimics the sidewinder to the aircraft it's mounted on. The interface between them is the same as the interface between the live missile and the aircraft. Because of that, any hardpoint capable of carrying a sidewinder, would in theory be capable of carrying a smokewinder. My guess as to why it's not available on stations 1b and 8b is that Nobody asked for it yet, or thought someone would ask for it. Just a guess tho.
  11. Hi I m having trouble finding textures for the ECLAIR pod and mirage pylons in the official mirage paintkit (from the RAZBAM site). It's only 2 textures in the paintkit, and i havent seen the pylons and the pod anywhere around there. If anyone could point me to where i can get my hands on those missing textures, i'd aplriciate any help Thanks!
  12. Ok, i found it. If anyone finds this thread later looking for answers, it was under the 3 dots card in aircraft settings, marked as "mount the DDM sensors"

I don't know what i m doing wrong, maybe you guys can help me From a mid air started mirage, i turn on the MWS power switch next to the RWR power switch to the middle (M) position The D2A (MWS) light below the RWR keeps blinking, and i m not warned about incoming IR missiles Yes, i do have magic 2's on my plane I don't know what i m doing wrong, please help :cry:

In a scenario where a competent F-14 crew is going into a BVR only engagement, and the enemy chooses to use BVR tactics (and is not another tomcat), the F-14 will win most of the time, purely because of the massive range of the phoenix. A 30nm phoenix shot will have a much higher PK than a 30nm AMRAAM shot. There is a lot of niuanses to BVR, but unless the target forces shorter ranges, the tomcat has many advantages in BVR.
  17. Even the AIM-120C and the AIM-9X leave faint smoke since 2.5.6, it's across the board, for all missiles.
  18. a few things you can do: -don't move the main mode to nav or afn modes, leave it off. It should keep the hud off -the hud has 2 positions. high and low. You can toggle it by clicking on the left hand side of the base of the hud, or by a keybind -you can raise your camera in the seat by rshift+rctrl+num8. 2 will lower it again, and 4 and 6 will move it sideways. If you do not have a numpad, you will have to bind it to something else. I belive it's called "move camera upwards" or something like that I don't think you could remove it entirely, but these things combined should help you a bit cheers

I know a human RIO can use the "next target" button to the left of the backseat launch button, and I know Jester uses it on his own, to select the "most dangerous" target in his opinion, and the AWG-9 does the rest of the sorting. My question is, can we override Jester's judgment, and tell him to designate a specific target as the 1st one to fire on? And if not, I think it'd be very nice to implement. We already have selection of specific TWS targets, just for STT, not 1st target designation. Thanks!
