  1. Sorry for the very late reply to this but I see, that makes sense. However, in that case, I believe the bomb should not be release-able until alignment is complete, as under all circumstances I think that RDY should equal "can release", and no RDY indication should equal "cannot release."
  2. Could we get another mini-update sometime about what the devs are presently working on? I think everyone would be interested to know what things are top priority at the moment.
  3. This sort of ties into my other bug report a bit ago about A/G Ready not always properly indicated but just to be sure. The "HARM" indication on the HUD should be crossed out whenever A/G Ready is false (just like on the STORES). This is not the case even when A/G Ready false is properly indicated on the STORES. HARM AG RDY cross out bug.miz.trk
  4. When the HARM Display format is selected from the TAC menu, the SMS does not select the HARM. You can see this by the "HARM" not being boxed and "HARM" not being displayed on the HUD. HARM bug.miz.trk
  5. The FLIR's polarity toggle also affects the AGM-65F Maverick. Maverick polarity bug.miz.trk
  6. Also happens with JDAM/KSOW.
  7. I have put together am images to hopefully show this a bit more clearly. Note this applies for all WYPTs, TACANs, TGTs, and PP JDAM targets, but I just used a TGT with an AUTO bombing profile setup to most clearly demonstrate this. Thanks
  8. Yeah as I said the normal AUTO/MAN centering is closer to what OP is asking about but Spotlight still is a centered scan. Space-stabilized though I believe. I've seen this in another Hornet game and was curious if this is really how it works (being able to center the scan outside of TWS). Would be very cool still. Yeah, an extremely handy thing. Auto centering on the L&S will obviously be very important for AMRAAM support.
  9. In Range While Search, and later Velocity Search, there will be a feature called "Spotlight" where the antenna scans 22° centered on the TDC and you can slew it left and right. In Track While Scan there will be an option to manually center the normal scan, which is basically what you (OP) describe.
  10. TOO takes the last designated TGT as its coordinates (TOO1 and, if selected with the TGT still existing, TOO2). However, on the HSI the maximum range circle adjusts as a function of the currently selected waypoint, regardless of whether or not that waypoint is the TGT or even if the TGT was taken from waypoint with WPDSG or from the FLIR. JDAM TOO bug 1.miz.trk
  11. Ah roger, thanks
  12. I'm pretty sure the Hornet avionics is designed to only have one A/G TGT designated at once, just like the Sensor Point of Interest (SPI) in the A-10C. TOO uses the TGT as its target for the bombs, unlike PP which runs entirely independent of the TGT designation. You're saying TOO1 and TOO2 should be able to have completely separate targets? How would you go about this?
  13. TOO uses one TGT point. TOO1 and TOO2 are just for you to be able to enter separate terminal flight and offset parameters. EDIT: wrong. See what Santi said:
  14. No, this is a very minor feature to LTWS and I would asssume TWS. It IFF interrogates any trackfile places under the cursor on the RDR ATTK as opposed to having to press Sensor Control Switch depress. A minor user interface feature. The main feature of LTWS is that it allows you to see the trackfiles generated by RWS on the RDR ATTK format for better surveillance. Without LTWS you only see the raw bricks in RWS.
  15. I don't exactly understand what you mean with IFF. The IFF antenna will interrogate any trackfile upon cursoring over on the Attack Radar or cursoring over and pressing SCS depress on the SA. There is no limit. I'm not entirely familiar with the F-14's radar. But the way to think about the Hornet's is that both RWS and TWS function in the way you'd imagine a general "TWS" mode to work. In the Hornet, TWS just limits the scan, allows for AMRAAM guidance, and has some other functions like Raid Assessment.
  16. Hmm... based on that description, it sounds like when a TGT is designated, the Maverick slaves to it when CAGED. In other words... Current Operation - When caged, TGT or no TGT: slaved to boresight - When uncaged, no TGT: free slew - When uncaged, TGT: slaved to TGT Potentially Correct Operation - When caged, no TGT: slaved to boresight - When caged, TGT: slaved to TGT - When uncaged, TGT or no TGT: free slew This does make sense, although I can see it being correct either way. Will see what ED says.
  17. The A/G gun always shows A/G RDY status, even when it is not RDY; e.g. master arm set to SAFE without SIM and master mode not A/G. The A/G rockets never show A/G RDY status, even when they are RDY. Track is attached showing both issues. Thanks! Rocket and gun AG RDY issue.miz.trk
  18. When the JDAM and JSOW should have AG RDY status, no "RDY" indication is shown on the Stores page under their option. Tracks attached. Thanks! JSOW AG RDY.miz.trk JDAM AG RDY.miz.trk
  19. The AGM-65F and E indicate A/G RDY status despite the master arm being set to SAFE and SIM mode not being on. Tracks attached. Thanks! AG RDY bug LMAV.miz.trk AG RDY bug.miz.trk
  20. The way we do it with the HUD uses the AG radar. You can see the indication "AGR" displays which means the radar is using Air-to-Ground Ranging mode. Of course, this is a very preliminary and WIP implementation since the AG radar format isn't modeled yet or anything. With only bearing information, it is simply impossible to make a 3 dimensional TGT designation.
  21. How? Hornet has no terrain data. Maybe it could use the LTD/R instead but I don't see how it could do it alone.
  22. Keep in mind it can be used for target designation. You can designate an A/G TGT via the HUD or HMD I believe, via the A/G radar. Being able to point and designate with the HMD would be huge.
  23. RWS and TWS both create trackfiles in the exact same way. TWS simply allows for weapon launch and has some scan limiting features to ensure a high update rate. LTWS is a option for RWS; it's best to think of it as display option opposed to a separate mode. RWS and TWS get the exact information about trackfiles. Weapon launch of AMRAAMs is simply inhibited in RWS I assume because of the large scan volume which can make trackfiles pretty low-update. RWS does not track 3 trackfiles. It creates a maximum of 10. 3 is just the maximum amount you can view at a time on the RDR ATTK format. The SA format shows all of them.

    JDAM TTI

Yeah, a heavy WIP back then obviously. Cool glimpse at what is coming hopefully somewhat soon though.
