  1. Right.. not too funny after all Try reading the thread before you post and you will see I'm using the skatezilla app. Plus, your posted really added nothing to the thread. Seems there is a bit of different information depending on how you set it up. One day I'll say good by to the Rift
  2. You have to start the sim in Steam?
  3. Hey Harker, I got to the HMD part.. after searching for the line, I couldn't find the right one... there are so many that relate to HMD. Could you please let me know which one it is. Thank you
  4. Looking for some help... I'm flying in VR and when I use the HMD, I can't see the HMD against the clouds (that are white). Its completely washed out. I'm flying on GS server for reference. I have lowered the gamma set to 1.0. Its better, but the ground now is very dark and hard to see depth. I have it on days and increased the brightness to max. I'm stuck on what to do, Is there a mod or way to edit the lua to increase the brightness or reduce the overall clouds? Thanks in advance for the help
  5. No problem. I appreciate the help. I'm sure in the long term it will get sorted out. Looks like it makes a big difference in 2d on my screen Stay safe
  6. Thank you so much for trying to help me. Unfortunately.. I'm still a no go. I do believe that shader is right. So... I tried, but for some reason, I must have screwed it up. You " Here, click the browse button on the SteamVR Client and point it to the openVR API in your OpenComposite dir." Me 1. I clicked on steamvr client and browsed to my openvr API. For me, this is in my D:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin. I can not see the file in here with the browse function in skatezilla, but I know it is in there. Is this where the file should be? I took the original openvrapi and renamed it. I put the one from opencomposite in there. Could this be the problem? You "Once this is done, change the redering driver to SteamVR API. Start DCS" Does this look right? BTW.. do you have any other programs open like opencomposite at the same time? Mine looks like this Appreciate your help.. I'm sure I will get there
  7. Hey Could read the thread. Not as computer savvy as some of you. I have a rift s, but not sure on the steps. (perhaps I missed some info.. sorry) I am running DCS in administrator mode. I have dl opencomposite and installed it. Tried installing reshade. It didn't find my DCS. so I manually pointed it in the directory. It seems to be working in 2D.. but I must have missed a step for the occulus. I'm thinking perhaps the open composite runtime switcher?? I don't know if that is right. Appreciate your help. Cheers
  8. i turned OFF icing on the cake and my fogging issue is gone
  9. Playing on Growling.. and the server keeps crashing.... this update has some issues for sure
  10. I have to say that I prefer the rotating clouds better in 2.5. I too have the same problem. There washed out. Can you post your settings b/c I would like to see where I am going wrong . I'm on a rift s with a 2080ti Thanks in advance. Love to enjoy the new clouds
  11. Yes. I'm with you on this. I also find that the clouds are to bright.. like blooming.. but I can't turn the gama down anymore. I'm on an Rift S
  12. I have the rift s also NOT in steam. I can see in 2d also, but not vr. I saw a post earlier that someone else couldn't get it to work. is this typical for rift s?
  13. I would suggest you look at voice attack. It will allow you to say whatever you want (ie., gear down) once you have programmed the corresponding key stroke. It also comes prepackaged with a large amount of voice activated commands. https://voiceattack.com/ Use it all the time. If you want radar.. you don't say button r18.. you just say radar and it picks r18 in the background. Cheers
  14. I totally agree that the 120's seem worse for the 18 and previous posted comments. With other modules and the 120 I get quiet different results (When firing in similar conditions) On the bright side, glad to see others share the same opinion and we are having a civil conversation about it.
  15. I never seam to have much luck with the the tools. Perhaps I can get some help :) 1. Do you restart the OT tools every time you alter the settings, or is it live? 2 Do you shut down your oculus VR programs? 3 What order do you start them. Ie., OT tools, oculus main, and then DCS? Thanks
  16. I tried it.. I got this error.. Shader 'deferred/Resolvedepth.fx' failed to compile- HRESULT: Error_Path_Not_Found DX11 Renderer-Error. I must have screwed it up somehow.. Any suggestions?
  17. Tried it.. didn't help for me :( Thanks though
  18. Yep. Same as others. TDC still not smooth.
  19. Tried the Mavs. Working on my end. Thank you
  20. DCS AV-8B by RAZBAM Added engine igniter sound. CAUTION, CAUTION auditory tone sounded sometimes even after cautions had been acknowledged. Added air start logic. Added engine windmilling. USS Tarawa: Modified Parking and taxi zones (Work in Progress). Corrected speedbrake switch control logic and behavior for OUT, NORM, IN controls to allow partial extension/retraction. Corrected LIDS and Speedbrake should be out already in cold start. Added loss of electrical or hydraulic power to speedbrake to cause air loads due to airspeed to close speedbrake. Fixed speed brake advisory to not show when landing gear up and speedbrake retracted OR landing gear down and speedbrake correctly at 25 degrees. Fixed fuel shutoff handle moving when it was supposed to be locked. Fixed momentary switch behavior for APU switch. Fixed momentary switch behavior for Compass/Lights Test switch. USS Tarawa: Modified Parking and taxi zones (Work in Progress). USS Tarawa: Fixed Deck invisible collision issues. Did anyone see anything about Mavericks being fixed?
  21. I am trying out using the mouse option in VR so I don't have to use my normal mouse and keep my HOTAS. Its working good, except that the mouse pointer (Blue cross) goes outside the cockpit and into the virtual sky. Is there an option for just bounding it to the cockpit? Thanks
  22. I picked one up. Wont be hear for a while, but I got the price. Thanks for all the help. Borrowing a CV1 now.. so I can't wait to see the difference :)
  23. Thanks for all the input. I'll be ok if I need to get some earbuds :P Really interesting to see peoples opinions that would buy it again. I'm hoping to enjoy the VR, but am cognizant that VR appears to be a bit in the infancy stages and probably will be developing at a rapid pace making whatever I get obsolete. Just like all our other computer parts. Happy New Years everyone
  24. New to VR. Trying a friends Rift CV1 and I enjoy the experience. I don't want to spend $1300+ for a vr system yet... So..my questions are: 1. Would you buy a rift s in today's market and why or why not? In Canada the cost is 479 or 378 USD. Thanks in advance My specs are 2700x 32GB ram 2080ti DCS on NVME drive
  25. Would you buy a rift s again today, or would you go for another?
