Hi there, First I wanted to mention that the visibility on upcoming changes and features in progress is much appreciated! Just a quick question I did a quick A/A MP session yesterday and noticed that both 530s and Magics where still displayed on the PCA (and the VTH) after I shot the 4 of them. Is this a bug or is it the correct behavior ? Thanks !

options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true fixed this issue for me (G2, RTX 3080) I only fly daytime and the online downside I have is heatblur effect displayed in only one eye, the rest is really better. Rivers show a lot of aliasing, but not sure if it wasn't the case before already.

Is this being addressed ? I regularly see cases where Tacview says a missile actually hit, but on my end nothing happened and I'm still flying. See attached, my ping is 10-15 ms range on this server, and I'm not doing any crazy evasive maneuvers. Note that the date is not accurate, this is from Dec 24th 2020. 2020-12-29-10-38-58.mp4

Alright, G2 pre-ordered today in my local shop. RTX 3080 up and running (waiting for EKWB to release compatible waterblock to finalize my project though). Can't wait to hear your feedbacks!

Since some seem to be wondering, I just replaced my 1080 Ti Strix OC by a 3080 FTW3 Ultra. I haven't really tweaked the settings and all for now but imho, the difference in terms of VR experience is negligible in DCS. I think the bottleneck is the Rift S's resolution at this stage. 40 vs 80 fps is not something game-changing for a flight sim, and I find it hardly noticeable. I bought this card because I'm planning on upgrading for a Reverb G2 when it's available. I can't wait!

Hi folks, I'm thinking about the G2 to replace my Rift, the side by side through the lense comparisons on Youtube speak for themselves! However, I'm concern about the the hardware aspect of things on the gpu side. My overclocked 1080 Ti with the Rift S can sustain 40fps even in loaded MP situations which I'm happy with, running pretty high in graphic settings, MSAA x2. The G2 has 2.5 times more pixels than the Rift S if I'm not mistaken. My plan is to replace my gpu with an RTX3080, but first leaked benchmark show a x2 improvement compared to the 1080ti, not x2,5. G2 beeing 90hz vs 80hz for the Rift, it means that with 2 times the gpu performance, I have to display 2.5 times more pixels at an additionnal 5 fps (45 vs 40). Does this means I'll have to lower my settings or am I missing something ?

Hi I switched from the warthog base to the warBRD 2 months ago and I'm 100% satisfied. Based on what I read on forums I replaced the standard springs by the stronger ones (included with the base). It's softer than the Wharthog but you won't notice any of this after a few days of use. It's much more precise, much smoother. A real pleasure to fly with. You need to adapt as you'll tend to apply too much force coming from the WH base, but as I said, it's only a matter of a couple of days before you really enjoy the upgrade.

I agree with you 100%. And would also add that not only the AIM-120 range is greater, but the shooter will also be able to go defensive as soon as his missile goes pitbull, whereas as you said, you'll be down trying to maneuvre the Mirage at 50K ft, which is pretty much similar to flying a brick. Lastly, the look down shoot down capability is not perfect, and you will easily loose lock doing so (at least in my experience).

I only play in MP. I have a different view than some in the previous replies. I used to fly 40.000ft+ and gently free fall behind bandits for quiet magic shots. I don't do this anymore (I miss this though!). I find that altitude is of little help with datalinks and planes such as the F14 able to shoot from 40nm+. Flying the F16 for a few months actually helped me change my way of flying in the Mirage. I have better success flying low, using terrain as much as I can avoiding flat land at all cost. Awacs, radar mostly off, turning it on only when going for the kill. At close ranges, with its efficient CCM modes and very good missiles PK within NEZ, the Mirage is definitely a lethal aircraft.

Hi Steph Noticed it also. It’s a change from last Thursday’s OB update. Before that, switching CNM did not trigger a MAV deselect.

Agreed, MAV is actually pretty useful ! Yesterday, I was chasing a bandit and lost radar lock behind a mountain, IR seeker found it as soon as I passed the top. It's also amazing when you are facing a bandit at very low altitude in the mountains; The first who sees the other usually wins, and with MAV you can do a very quick and quiet shot and then turn back. I noticed MAV tends to "bip" when flying towards the sun (which kind of make sense), is that the actual behaviour ? NB : Just wanted to thank Zeus, I flew online for a couple of hours yesterday and for the first time in months, I felt like my Mirage was back! I followed Jojo's advice and used B scope and did not encounter any particular radar bug (even the disappearing box didn't occur). Sometimes I feel that I need to move elevation back and forth so that the radar picks up targets. Not sure if because my joystick axis is wobbling a little or because of the radar itself. Did not check if the elevation displayed min and max altitudes are still bugged. I also tried to bind elevation up and down to buttons instead of axis but it moves very slowly (like 50% compared to the F16 for instance). Can I adjust that somehow ? Sorry if this has been asked before, but how can I mount D2M ? Vertical narrow search is alive again and it felt amazing !! Keep up the good work, my fellow Mirage pilots and I are thrilled right now :)

Hi Steph, I mean no box, no triangle, no circle, no nothing. Pretty sure I can replicate. Also, box disappearing when locking (radar) with magic first and switching to something else is there since December and really a deal breaker for me.

I decided to give my Mirage a try after 3 months in the hangar (since December update basically). Radar modes and associated HUD symbology are still bugged as hell. I even think there is a new one : contact is hard locked -> magic slave makes the box disappear. Back to the hangar, still with hope that some day, someone will take care of the Mirage and make is playable in MP again. Make Mirage great again!!

I experienced something twice in MP this week end : - when two aircrafts kill each other in a trade, only the first one gets the kill. The other does not and aircraft 1 gets killed by « unknown » in the chat. Is this voluntary to favour the one who killed first or is this a bug ? Thanks -
Thanks Frederf! I did some testing after reading your message. I’m new to the Viper and I didn’t have the right logic. Was not using the switch properly actually. I can now toggle between dgft and a2a using the same button with datalink always displayed on my right MFD. :)

Well you can kind of already do that by mapping OSD right 19 (I think) can’t you? This works only if your MFD is showing SMS which is the case when you enter Dogfight mode. Actually I have a couple of questions for you guys : - Dogfight mode will automatically switch the MFD to SMS. Is there an easy / quick way to display HSD (datalink) instead via hotas? - MSL Step allows to switch between missiles with long press, any chance we can trigger this function with a short press ? I don’t find this really convenient. Thanks for your help

I agree with the folks above. Current state makes the M2000 unplayable in air-to-air multiplayer environments. I would add the bug where you get an SVI lock on radar but no box on the HUD. Amazing plane for free flying though !

Hi there, When I lock using SVI, the radar display works well with target clearly locked, all associated tracking information and speed vector, however, I do not have the square in the HUD on the target which make things pretty hard! Funny thing is that I have the small square on the HUD so that I know where to point my nose... Do you guys have the same problem ? Has this been reported already ? -
Pretty sure. You can program a FBW computer to fly a jet MORE OR LESS like a B747 :)

You understand that FBW is a flight control system and not a ''flight model'' ? If you read my initial post, I actually said that there is a huge difference between both, which is totally normal. Not sure what is your point.

The flight model that seems to prevent you from flying the Mirage is endorsed by the very air force flying the actual plane. The FBW response might be different from your expectations, but I don't think they are necessarily far from the reality. I don't think that I am less demanding, neither are my fellows flying the Mirage!
