In missiles acm the Viper is even more outclassed then in a gun scenario. Systems and performance wise.

All the people writing here that the Viper outdoes the Hornet in DCS BFM have assuredly played against AI Hornets only. With the current FMs Hornet has better Rate and Radius. Vipers only advantage is the thrust though it‘s almost never enough to win the fight (talking guns only). I invite everyone who thinks differenly to go up against me, viper vs hornet.

I guess the brackets will be created randomly, all planes will be matched against each other. If you pick a spitfire you chose to be competing in a ww2 plane against jets. You shouldn't be expecting to win. As a matter of fact if you actually want to win you should pick the F-14 or at least the Hornet in the current meta. -

Great Server, I would be nice to have 1 or 2 more 1v1 Areas. The ww2 Area should be further apart from the guns area. Currently the ww2 planes are being disturbed by the guns jets.

Looks like Viper Sniper interferes with the Helicopter Tournament, which Maverick is supposed to stream.

Viper is being outrated by the F-18 and the F-14 at the moment (which it certainly would not be in real life). If you want it I can produce as many trackfiles as you like which prove that. Maybe the F-16s flight model is spot on. If that is the case the F-18 and the F-14 are in a desperate need for a FM rework. Also the drag feels like it is way too small (as in the F-18 ). Im sure in real life a 9G 550kts IAS turn on the deck would slow down the plane a lot more than it currently does.

Ooof. Interesting post. I don't see why a discord channel leads to you being controled and rated by one man (wtf?). But nevermind, I like the idea of giving the teams a platform to organize trainings among themselves :thumbup:

When fighting enemies bfm in the vertical I try to maximize my turn rate by staying near corner. Taken the F-18 with 350kts corner speed I try to catch speed when at the bottom of the loop to get to 400kts. I then pull hard and get the nose to 90° up still at 400kts. From that point (nose up) I am kind of unsure what is the best thing to do. I could: 1. pull hard wich would get my nose fast back down but I would have to unload afterwards to catch speed in order to be able to perform a second loop. 2. pull hard at first to get to corner speed but then ease the stick at 330 so I dont have to unload in order to catch speed 3. pull easy on the stick so I turn consistent at 4g but dont get below 330 4. ease the stick consistently throughout the turn to keep constant aoa but decreasing G. I can't make out which is the best turning method. Yet there has to be a most efficient one. So the question is when flying a loop when and how to pull the stick and which is the parameter to fly after (aoa, speed).
