Change the date in the editor to 1945.

Enlighten me. I haven't a clue how to do that.

Possibly. This is my first real re texture so it's quite a learning curve. The trouble is I can only re texture models that are already in game which means a new texture would overwrite an old one.

If it ain't raining it ain't training. Lol

I made these new liveries for the standard US infantry that over writes the US winter texture. To install go to bazar - World -Textures and replace the Gunner file with the new one. To use them place an infantry unit in the editor and select the winter texture from the drop down list. Enjoy:) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2729362/

I've been re texturing an infantry unit and come across quite a few infantry skins that are not used in game. Some are a lot better than the low detail ones that are currently in game. Any idea why they aren't used and if they are supposed to be added at some time?

Of course no problem. I've got to go out for the day but I'll see if I can upload them later or tomorrow. I'm not entirely happy with them. I think the dpm needs to be smaller scale and I want to get the webbing straps on the helmet but it's very hard to get it to look right.

A little mission I was playing around with. Hopefully when 2.1 gets updated it should look even nicer. What do you think of my DPM squaddies?

Yep Alvis Stalwarts. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alvis_Stalwart

That's no dump truck. That's an amphibious Stolly.

Holy moly you guys are good!

Very nice idea. I'm using 1024 x 1024. I was getting the hang of it and seeing how it looked in model viewer piece by piece. I'm getting there but I've had to go away for a few days. I'll pick it up when I get back.

Thought as much. I guess there are no other templates other than the ones in the download section.

I've just started out doing a few re paints and am struggling to get them to look right. I'm trying to change the uniform of one of the soldiers into a different camouflage design. I can edit the livery no problem but trying to match up textures where they wrap around the model is extremely difficult. Is there a way of telling which part goes where on the model or is it a case of editing it, saving it then viewing on modelviewer then re editing it again until I finally get it right. It's exhausting.

Here's two I found on google. Us Brits aren't really renowned for our elaborate camouflage patterns. I'm not sure if it's possible and is probably a load of extra work. Are you able to raise the canvas roof a bit? There should be a slope up from the windscreen to the rear of the doors then it's flat until the rear of the vehicle.

I've tried to attach the file but it says I'm missing a security token or something. Any idea?

I just Googled a few images of British army land rovers and colour picked using paint.net. It's the first time I've ever tried to re paint anything in dcs or any other sim so I'm still learning loads. I found it really hard working out what bit was what in the dds files, I still can't work out a lot of it.
-
Fine with me. I'll wait to hear from the guys who made it all though.
-
I have tried to make the Land Rover a bit more British. Added DPM rather than woodland camo, added a bit more cam cream, changed the camo sheet into a cam net, painted the jerry cans olive drab and done a few more adjustments. Hope you don't mind. I didn't realise the significance of the index plate before:megalol:

No problem. Looking forward to the update.

I've just downloaded and given a quick test in the editor. They are brilliant thanks. Two things though. There is no one driving the trucks or tug. Are they supposed to be like that? The livery for the Army land rover isn't working.
