Well, we can still clutch those Rio stories close to our heart and the like can't we? -

No, not sheesh, people have a hard time with simple questions around here. I get that you are just explaining where that spec might have come from. Cool. Awesome. Thanks for the insight. Now that we are past the pleasantries, is there any proof/documentation of those speeds or just stories? -

Yes, makes sense. So where does the 2.34/2.38 clean spec come from? Have we all been getting smoke blown up our asses for decades? Back to the A model, if I'm reading correctly, you guys felt that on the A model with a 4x4 config tested @ m2.15 would only be capable of m2.22 after dropping 4-sparows, 4 sidewinder, 2 pylons, and ammo? Is that right? You would only gain 0.07? -

Gotcha, when I get a chance to sit in front of a real computer I'll check it out. So, back to your post before, you said the original model was based on these APP1.1 charts. So the charts showed it was capable of 2.2+ but something changed y'all's mind so you change it or they showed it wasn't capable of 2.2+ and y'all modeled it faster anyway? -

What charts were you using to model the B originally? -

Look, I feel like I'm asking the question as simply as I can. When did the B model top speed get dropped, adjusted, nerfed, (whatever you want to call it)? At one point in heatblur documentation the B was speced @ mach 2.38 and could do 1340gs clean at 40kft in sim. Why did it change? Why was it what it was at First? I know you guys do a lot of research so what made you guys think 2.34/ 2.38 was the magic number to being with? Great!, the A is faster, cool! I don't care! I just want to understand the questions above! -

That details the A model, my question was about the B model. -

Yep, the 74 says 2.25 @39kft and the 77 says 2.25 @ 48kft both for the A. Can you link or screen shot the B? -

Per the April 1977 Navair, F-14A is 1170 clean.. seems there are variations in the testing data. Then you have wiki saying 2.34 and MATS saying 2.38. Another Navair for the D model showing a hard wall at 2.0, seems it's all over the place. So when did the DCS "B" model get nerfed? From 1340 to 1180? -

Idk if this happened with this update or a past one but at one point the 14B would do a TS/GS of 1340 @40kft and now it only will do 1180 clean. -

Above 130 knots it gets wobbly, clean, 30% fuel, freezing air temps, (this is a mission I created). However, when I go to the instant action and choose the start from runway mission, in that mission the heli is pretty stable at 140+.. So maybe it has somthin to do with the loadout in the mission I created?? too light?? idk -
It seems like after the update the 64 has become very wobbly at higher speeds or when the stick is pushed far forward. It starts to oscillate back and forth and wants to roll. Is this normal? I thought there was something wrong with my joystick or the curve was messed up it was so bad but watching the digital stick it stays solid yet the heli wants to do a barrel roll.

My understanding. it's taking 17.3ms to draw a frame. The 42 vs 45 could be why its not smooth (some type time/alignment/buffer glitch??). So if its 42 why doesn't it show23.8ms? Because its capped at 45fps and it doesn't need that much time to draw the frame, that's why the gpu is only at 80%. If the gpu was at 100% you would see something closer to 23.8ms bc it using every bit of the time it has to draw the frame, or if it was at 45fps/100%cpu you would see something close to 22ms. For example, if you are sitting at the home/menu screen (for me) its common to see something like this; 45 fps, 6ms, 45% gpu usage.

Is an evga 3090 FTW ultra. There is a bios switch (dip switch) located on the side about mid way down. Says OC/Normal. One Bios has a higher available power target if used. After some reading, I found the bios for my cards has been revised for a feature called "resizable bar" so I went ahead and updated both the OC an Normal bios. Both are now free from the frame drop bug. Here is pic of the post on the EVGA forum and of the resizable bar tab on evga precision. I had to update my mob bios too.

Is there a tutorial on how to do this?

Well after an hour of game play I would like to report this issue is fixed. My graphics card has a selector switch for 2 different Bios, flipping it to the other fixed the issue..
-
It would confirm if we were experiencing the same issue (I don't think we are). My issue happens on the home screen as well as in play and involves "frame drops" during times of low gpu and cpu usage resulting in only a small drop in total frame rate. It's a small download on Steam, only take a second to install. FpsVR will show a complete "frame drop" as a pink spike rather than a graph that just averages low frame rates. I run motion reprojection (AKA motion vector) to lock it at 45fps and when the pink spikes start hitting it only drops my total frame rate from 45 to around 42ish but it becomes a stuttering mess.
