Fix in description lua for UH1H skins -CIV issue
RazorbackNL replied to zaelu's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Good job Zaelu. The skins are finally working again. Thanks. -
Belsimtek should stick to helicopters only. They are doing a cracking job with the two helo modules already available.
-
Just switch the governor to manual and roll the throttle to idle. In real life the engine isn't completely shut down either while doing autorotation training.
-
Since 1.2.6 the in cockpit engine noise volume has been increased. Does one know how to lower this a bit. It cannot be done within the options/audio menu because the in cockpit option is for all the sound, including the switch click sounds. I just need the engine noise a little tuned down.
-
It sounds like there is still an axis defined for the throttle. Just make sure everything in the axis command section is cleared which you need to be cleared.
-
Since you uninstalled freetrack, it will be most unlikely but you could check the option\controls\axis commands menu to see if there are any assignments being made to the camera axis. The same happens to me when using trackir and the mouse at the same time in FC3. Clear those camera axis and hopefully you are fine.

Since the Huey is still in beta someone came up with a quick fix for the sound problem. Check out the link to the post. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106754 I'll bet that will solve your problem as it did for all of us.
-
You sure do need the serial key. You have to buy the module to be able to activate the beta release.

The Hikotai skin looks amazing, Upuaut. Very nice job indeed. I can't wait for the final release of the Huey with the slick version in it. It will surely do this skin justice. Well done and thank you
-
Wow Upuaut, that would be great. Thank you. I hope the picture is clear enough to see the details. It seems to me the top half of the nose is black and the bottom fuselage, skids and tail rotor gearbox are olive. I hope you can make it happen. Good luck to you and thanks again.

@upuaut Upuaut, would you be so kind to take a look at this one? Can you please make it? It is a white-orange-olive Huey of the 101st Hikotai, 1st Konseidan (Composite Brigade), Seibu Homen Kokutai (Western Army Air Group) of the Japan Ground Self Defence Force. These Hueys are based at Naha Air Base on Okinawa. Since the internet doesn't come up with pictures of this particular Huey, I have made a scan from a book called 'HUEY A Helicopter Legend' by Salvador Mafé Huertas. I would really appreciate it if you could give it a go on this one. Thank you in advance.

Same here. Access denied.

I truly have the deepest respect for skinners like you and all the others out there. Man, they look good. I really wish I was talented like you but I don't have the slightest idea how to use a paint program. So please keep them coming. Nice job

LALT 3 and LALT 4 will close those doors for you. These keys can also be used for opening them without selecting the door gunners.
-
Those are the ones I wanted, although I have seen users with smaller pictures. Can you tell me how to use these in my signature?
-
Hi all, I have made a profile for the HOTAS Cougar to be used with DCS UH-1H. It is still work in progress for now but it works for me. Feel free to use it. Razorback DCS Helicopters.zip

I was wondering how some of you got those little pictures of the DCS modules in their signature. I have been trying for a while now but I can't get it done. I can only get one picture in it, not all of them. Can someone please tell me how to do it? Thanks in advance.
-
That is one sweet looking skin. Good work.

For the best results leave the X and Y axis default. You really need the sensitivity of these axis to make those small and fast corrections to keep the Huey under control. I found that when you have spot on control over the collective (the ability to have smooth control) , it is a lot easier to master this wonderful bird.
-
Just because it will look totally awesome: - separate opening cockpit doors (LALT-1 and LALT-2) instead of RCTL-c for both doors - openable sliding windows in the cockpit doors (with the mouse?)
-
Maybe you have created a flight using client instead of player. I did the same once. The logbook doesn't record MP (client) flight time.
-
The cyclic needs to be sensitive in order to be one step ahead of the movement the Huey makes around the x and y axis, at least that is the way I like it. I have found that instead of adjusting the different curves it works better for me to check the SLIDER box with each axis and leave the curves standard. Especially the pedal and collective axis become a lot better controlable with this option checked. PS: I use a Hotas Cougar which I adapted to a floor mounted cyclic, using a universal joint from a car drive shaft.

They should have retained the Idle detent switch and just use a keyboard command for the start action, which is probably Home just as in P-51. This imperfection wouldn't keep me from purchasing Huey, but for the sake of realism.....get that Idle detent switch where it belongs and forget about a clickable start button.

Or delete the F12 key from the view commands.

I recoloured the cockpit based on the blue "english russia" pics
