  1. The crashes have been evolving in my case. It went from every second mission different than the one, and now it crashes every time I press "FLY" just unplayable.

  4. Thanks! When it comes to the installing it on the server, does that mean it's only necessary if you intend to start to the mission with said livery, but you still get to change it from the ground crew menu and other will see it?
  5. Hey all, I'm running a server from the same machine I play DCS on. I have a couple of friends who use the default SU-25T, the MiG-29, F-15C, F-18, and F-14. We would like to be able to see our custom skins when we all play on the blue side, or corresponding side. I read we all need to have the skins, but it is not clear to me where those should be installed? If I don't have the same modules they do, do I need to create folders for them, and what should the path be? Thanks for the help!
  6. Uhm, how much torque did you apply to it so turning JUST the dial would actually shear off the Joystick? I'm sorry but I'm not buying it. What did you actually do?
  7. Welp, guess servers with A-10s vs WWII Warbirds could be fun too.. in terms of not buying any Early Access modules until they are completed.
  8. I do purchase EA modules, lets get that out of the way. That's not a problem for me, but we have to get real. Your response was a little childish, you know if people actually followed your advise, you would lose over 70% of your income from modules. Users would be stuck with a full fidelity A-10. The MiG-21, 17, F-5, WWII Warbirds and the Flaming Cliffs modules are the least popular to price ratio modules you guys have published. Please don't talk to us like we are dumb. We buy your content, we buy your partners content. We are your clients, and we are paying for a service to be delivered and paying for respect from your guys. There is a contract which is established when downloading the client, and purchasing modules, please don't violate it by choosing to run away from feedback and blocking or banning users who provide harsh critique. It is critique after all, and there will be times in which people who are not in your team will know more than what you guys know about a subject. Perhaps if you guys dedicated all of your time into completing a module, or having your partners conditioned to complete a module by a specific ETA instead of pushing more and more EA modules where their completion dates keeps getting pushed to prioritize a fresher source of income you would also have much more respect from the communities which unfortunately also play into making or braking a company, ESPECIALLY when it comes to social media. Thank you for all the fun you guys have provided to me personally with your modules. I can't wait to see the modules I've purchased get finished, but in the time being I am personally done with more purchases unless they are finished content.
  9. Hey peeps, Just a quick question... how are you supposed to uncage the AIM-9? I usually go Seam and point the cross towards the aircraft and it will automatically uncage and start tracking. Is that the correct process? I've been talking to some people that tell me using CAGE/SEAM is incorrect, which sounds silly. Thanks for the clarification!
  10. Hey peeps, I am doing a mission where you need to escort a defecting IL-76 (ukranian) and some russian MiGs are being sent to shoot it down. I have set the IL-76 with the waypoint option to use chaff and flare as well as maneuver when detecting a missile being shot at it; however, this is not working. I've made sure the plane is at the correct waypoint, height, and speed, set the amount of chaff and flare and nothing. It just keeps flying the waypoint and getting hit. The reason I want to make it this way is so it can become immersive and detect the aircraft is in distress so display scripted messages. Am I missing something?
  11. Did this thing get bricked with the last update? I just installed it like I did before, and it comes up in the Module Manager as installed, but it's not on the list of modules available? Using most recent Open Beta.
  12. I was doing the CASE 1 training and noticed that actually following the gates will result in a very poor lineup that requires a lot of lateral correction and on the wrong glideslope. This should be corrected to have the correct pattern as new players will sure have a lot of frustration when they realize the training that is supposed to help them figure out CASE 1 won't really set them up into the correct pattern.

  14. CBU BUG. No longer bursting. My MK-20s are not bursting at the HT I select after setting the MFUZ to VT. I have dropped CBUs before so I know I am not forgetting some silly setting, but they just stopped working after the latest update and they no longer burst so the bomb body just falls inert regardless of height, speed, and angle of dive. I've tried the stock CBU training mission to see if I had indeed forgotten something and the problem persists even after following the instructions, it just looks like I am dropping duds with no dud queue on the HUD, but all other bombs work fine. My workflow is as follows: Master switch on. A2G Mode selected. RE Selected on DDI. MFUZ Option for VT. HT Set to 1500 to match physical fuse on the MK-20. Altimeter set to RDR. Height warning set to 1500 Feet. 20 to 30 dive angle at no more than 500 knots. Release at different altitudes of greater than 1500 feet and lesser than 3000 feet. Thanks for any insight!

  16. Howdy all, I've been practicing the carrier landing (CAT I), but I am having a really hard time bleeding off speed down to 250k on the upwind turn. I know about the 1% rule, so I am doing 350knots on the turn, I will pull 3.5g and slowly decrease it until it gets to 250knots, 2.5g which should happen at the middle of the turn (I've seen this on videos, too). BUT, even if I am following the rule, and I extend my speedbrake just as I start the turn, my plane won't bleed enough speed, I get to 250 knots after the turn is complete, and not in the middle, so I am way too fast before I can do the downwind, therefore my whole pattern gets butched. What am I missing? I NEVER see throttle usage explained in videos for CV landing, only how you shouldn't reference speed after the upwind turn and should focus on the ebracket, but I can't focus on a brake that won't even be there since I can't put my LG and Flaps down above 250knots as per the pattern, it's like there is a huge portion of it not being explained. I find it amazing how someone can go from 350knots to 140knots in less than 10 seconds and not explain how to even accomplish that. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

  18. Hi all, I am currently running 2.5.3.23225 and my client refuses to update to the newly released version, my DCS update insists I am running the most recent version. I downloaded a new version of the DCS Updater here and upon running and updating, the client ends up with my current version. Could there be a delay based on location? Did my client get bricked? Everything works just fine, excepted the gimped updates. Thanks for any insight.
