  1. Thanks for the heads-up. It is corrected as I write this and will be submitted to E.D. in version 2.31. It's really weird how this happens but it's corrected.
  2. @Delta Kilo Hello, I wanted to personally thank you for taking a chance on my first campaign and also respond to a few of your comments: That's great and you don't know how glad I am that you enjoyed it. SIGH!, YES, unfortunately, all the campaign developers are at the mercy of the AI logic and the E.D. coders, as good as they are, are only able to do so much with the current state of the game's AI logic. Agreed. But remember, the Hog was not designed as an air superiority aircraft. It was designed specifically to kill Russian tanks crossing into Germany during the Cold War. While it does have two stations for anti-air missiles, they are there purely for defense if they were ever caught without air cover. And while it can out turn many 4th Gen jets, it loses significant energy in most, if not all, BFM maneuvers. It is NOT a jet to take into a Furball. In hindsight, I think it would be interesting to have it engage a Frogfoot but, again, without even a basic radar to see a Bandit, the odds of mixing it up with another aircraft are very low and would be a matter of pure chance with them being in the same airspace at the same time. So, to respond to your comment, it has to be assumed that there is air superiority AND C3 assets for the A-10C to be able to do it's thing. And THAT is the reason why the aircraft is currently being divested (removed) from the USAF inventory. It just CAN'T perform in a (enemy) contested airspace. It has to rely on Air Superiority assets as well as C3 (AWACs). And that is the reason why the F-35 is so important: it can do both things by itself. Now, I'm not sure what you are describing because I went to great lengths in designing these missions so that the Player CAN alter the payload to their own preference. And for the 1 or 2 missions that did require specific ordinance, I declared that in the beginning of the mission during startup. NOW, having said that, you should be aware that IRL A-10 pilots, with very rare exceptions, do NOT have a say in what their loadout will be for any mission. They get what they get. Please let me know specifically to which mission you are referring. As far as I'm aware, I did not disable this function. You should be able to see that in-game. If it's not working was it possibly disabled in your system? Wow! That's really GREAT! Thank you because I envisioned this campaign specifically for beginning to moderately experienced A-10C pilots. I created it as a place for pilots to get in and have fun without having to become too involved in the more detailed aspects of DCS World. YES! Look for Lt. Col Took Key (he was promoted after Operation Agile Spear) to continue the fight against ISIL and the Syrian Army in Operation Syrian Freedom sometime this summer.
  3. Thank you. I can confirm that problem and just fixed it. Thank you.
  4. Hello Everyone, It was just brought to my attention that there is a problem with pilots starting Mission 3. For some reason, the Practice Mission becomes the Primary Mission so the Player will spawn into the Practice Mission. I apologize for this problem and would encourage Players to skip Mission 3 for the time being using the "Skip Mission" function in the Campaign screen. I should have a fix within the next few days but, unfortunately, updating the campaign is dependent on the next DCS World update which will be in three months or so of which I have no control over. In any event, I am aware of the problem and working on a fix for the next update. Yours, John
  5. My apologies to everyone. I missed this thread and didn't see it until now. I have fixed this problem in v2.3 so it shouldn't be a problem now. For some reason I don't get all of the posts in this forum.
  6. @DraganWhile I agree with your findings of decreased effectiveness, I would offer that launching an APKWS from 6 miles would have negligible effects having lost a significant amount effectiveness/energy beyond 4 miles unless fired from a much higher altitude/AOA than from lower altitudes. Remember that impact angle and impact point on the target (side-on or rear as opposed to frontal) play a much greater role for longer distance shots. I would also suggest that the optimal distance to be right at 3.5 miles +/- .5 miles.
  7. This appears to be the second, possibly third change to the APKWS since its introduction but the current iteration seems like the most significant change (for the worse) to date. If there is any more degradation in its (rockets) effects, there will be an adverse effect on most of the missions in Agile Spear and may require rewrites. Lets keep our fingers crossed that they (E.D.) leaves them where they are.
  8. I've seen this as well in testing my new campaign. Requires no less than 5 hits to kill a ZU-57 also.
  9. Thanks Combat Wombat. I'm going to use a bunch of these in my upcoming A-10 Syria campaign and will give you full credit. Has Ugra changed a bunch of airfield radio freqs? I read that in the Dev Discord today.
  10. Hello, first I've heard of that happening. I wouldn't think it is related to a specific mission but to DCS World itself. I would look for the log file and see if that can help you figure out the problem.
  11. THANK YOU Pyrocumulous! It was a big mess. I'll give you credit in the changelag. If you find anything else PLEASE let me know via PM as I sometimes miss the forum posts.
  12. Thanks for pointing that out. Will look at it tomorrow.
  13. I agree with the difficulty in trimmng the Hog but you might want engaging the AP (LAAP) once you've trimmed it out as best you can. That seems to settle the aircraft down for you too disengage it and fly hands-off but will return to the lazy drunkin turn rate once you start any maneuvers.
  14. Yurgon, I made my own Kneeboard checklists to help players with the campaign. I'll fix this post haste. Thanks. Hello Everyone, I missed this message and will make the corrections this week. Thank you all for the heads up.
  15. Hi, I'm curious. Have you had a chance to complete the mission and if so what did / didn't you like about it?
  16. Thanks for that Stuka. I noticed the item in the changelog but couldnt figure out what it meant. Thank you. John
  17. Read the README doc in the package. There are a number of ways tto interact with the JTAC as well as a few scripts that aslo work. Google is your friend.
  18. OK, got it sorted out and have submitted it for the next update (after the current 2.9 OB update). Thanks for the heads up. The Jolly voiceover wasn't loading for some reason.
  19. Not autocorrect, just my limited vocabulary at work.
  20. I think I've stated before, there's really no way to cross the Euphrates other than fjording through the water. I haven't found any way to cross over the few bridges or dams. Example: vehicles can't cross over the bridge in south Raqqa as well as the dam just north of Tabqa and the next one just west of Raqqa. Also, I'd really like to see the U.S. Green Village plotted in Grid Square FU47. I'd also like to thank you for the great job with the last update as well as the many (U.S.) FOB's you've added. If it would help, I've done quite a bit of research regarding most U.S. and Coalition OP/LP/FOB's in Syria and have plotted them if you need them. Msg me if interested. John
  21. Just a quick note that the desired airfield charts are available in Raus's excellent GV5Js Datacard Generator. The latest version has most of the Syrian airfields.
  22. Another thing to think about is turning the PAC stabilizer off which will give you a wider spread of the impact area but you couldn't use this if Danger Close.
  23. Sorry, but I'm hoping you can work on this: There are very few bridges crossing the Euphrates so the only other option would be to cross using the dams. Currently, the dam in grid square DA22, the Tabqa Dam in DV66, and the dam in DV77 are not able to be crossed even though they have roads leading up too them. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks, Johnnull nullnull
