  1. No worries. Just thought you would want to know.
  2. Yup. Aircraft on the base for startup (in my new campaign) and radio set to 122.20 MHz.
  3. A-10C II at Abu al-Duhar: I honestly don't know if this is a problem with the new ARC-210 radio or with the map but not getting a response on the radio for startup, taxi, etc. when using the ARC-210 radio on 122.20 MHz.
  4. Great! So you completed it? Did you like it?
  5. Hi, thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately, Ill be unavailable to look into it until Tuesday. Regards, John
  6. Hello Everyone, As some you of know there was a problem with Mission 5 so I've uploaded the corrected mission to Google Drive for you to download. Again, my apologies to Scylla and CrystalynEntity for not acknowledging their submission of the problem. I will submit the corrected campaign to E.D. in a few days and will be a free download to everyone who purchased the campaign. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lDYHyCd_Ni5DVe3iGgyarZA9rgO0hnoE?usp=share_link Enjoy, John
  7. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the campaign and any opinions or suggestions are encouraged for my next campaign.
  8. Apologies to Scylla and CrystalynEntity OK, so I have to swallow my pride and make a public apology to Scylla and CrystalynEntity. They were both correct that the problem with Mission 5 was something stupid I did and not with anything they did or did not do. It was something stupidly simple which I forgot to change. Again, my apologies to both of them and I am offering Mission 5 gratis as it will be a week or two before the updated campaign will be available for download via the Download Manager. Download at your leisure and I sincerely hope you enjoy it. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lDYHyCd_Ni5DVe3iGgyarZA9rgO0hnoE?usp=share_link
  9. Look, I'm sorry you're having problems with this mission. I really am and I would be disappointed if I couldn't complete it. But, there's NOTHING I can do to fix this this problem. When there's a problem with a campaign or mission I've created I always acknowledge it and fix it and release the updated mission. I've done it a dozen times. But there's NOTHING I can do to fix this problem. I would be willing to bet real money that if you properly delete DCS World and all your mods and modules and then did a clean reinstall of DCS World and then your purchased modules you'd be able to complete the campaign without any problems. And E.D. really makes this incredibly easy with their download manager. The other option, if you want your mods, is for you to install a clean install of DCS World next to your mod-installed DCS World preferably on a different drive. As I said, I installed the UH-60 mod and it was brilliant, but it created a lot of problems and had to delete it and DCS World and then reinstall it to get it working again.
  10. Ok. So, what would you have me do? These are the first two reports of a problem with Mission 5 and you both admit to having mods installed = your mods are the problem. You install modifications with the clear knowledge that they can lead to undesirable problems. Thats why they are called mods and not Add-ons or Enhancements or some other name. They modify that base game (DCS World) so that they can run their individual code at the expense of stability of the base game. And if you are adding your mod to an Open BETA release (a pre-release, experimental version) than you are piling problem on top of problem and expecting it all to work out fine. But it won't. Sometimes it will if you're lucky but it generally won't work properly. I mean, if you were flying an airplane under those same conditions it would be a short flight and you wouldn't be long for this world. Now, again, what do you want ME to do about YOUR problem?
  11. The one mod I ever installed was the UH-60 and it caused many problems even after I deleted it. I had to uninstall DCS World and then reinstall it to get everything back to normal.
  12. This sounds to me like you have had mods installed but haven't completely removed them. Mods do some very strange things to the game I cannot recommend anyone using them with DLC in any way.
  13. I just tried it a couple of times and it worked fine. I tried it in the A-10C and A-10C II and no problems. I don't know what to tell you.
  14. Hello, Two questions about the 210: 1. Does anyone know if it's possible to have a preset frequency On during startup? It always seems to default to 133.00 and I can't seem to get it to default to any of my preset freqs. 2. I've been able to set preloaded frequencies in the Mission Editor but the box for names is closed so I can't name the preset freq. And then when I try a Prepare Mission and manually enter the name in the MFCD (using the UFC) it always defaults back to Wing, etc, etc. and not the name I typed in. Any help would be appreciated.
  15. EXCELLENT explanation, Yurgon. As always. John
  16. Yeah, they just popped up after the last update for some reason. It's been corrected in the next update to Agile Spear v2.0 which has been uploaded to E.D. Just waiting for them to publish. Thanks for the info.
  17. I can confirm the Viper does show up in SADL. All helo's do not work with SADL (in my experience) whether there is an E-2 or E-3 in the AO or not. I can confirm that GR-4 Tornado's DO work with SADL. As an aside, my team would be issued an MBITR if we had to debark our aircraft for transload/CASEVAC in case we became separated. Later versions of the old MBITR (AN/PRC-148) did work with most U.S. aircraft in direct recognition and secure data communication (albeit very limited). If I remember correctly all we could really send were brief "text" messages, GPS MGRS coordinates, and smiley faces.
  18. Jean-Philippe, Once again thank you for your insight regarding Agile Spear. I'm sorry you're having a hard time going through it but I wouldn't restart the campaign just yet. I've made significant changes to it and will be releasing version 2.0 within the next 2 weeks. While I do not control when the updated campaign will be made available through DCS World updates, I would tell you that the updated campaign should make your experience much more enjoyable. Again, thanks for your insight, John
  19. So, I'm not going to address all of your complaints but I will address some of them. Well, not much I can do for you there. I won't apologize for the campaign because I'm very proud of it but I am sorry you're bored with it. I created this campaign for people who were of beginner to moderate levels of experience in DCS and flight simulators in general. As with most things in life, the campaign starts out a little slow and allows the player to build up towards a climactic finish. I must say that I've come to really enjoy flying the Caucasus map BECAUSE it can be so difficult. But the thing I like most about Caucuses map is the differential of the region, Alpine mountains to the north bordering Russia, the western and central plains, the bordering ocean, and the rolling hills to the east. The difficulty of differing terrain makes it my favorite of all the DCS maps. That being said, I also believe in reflecting "real-world" weather conditions as well. If you want bright sunny days all of the time than you should look to other campaign developers. I enjoy the challenge of flying (in flight simulators and in real flight) in realistic conditions; at night (when MOST A-10 CAS missions are flown), rain, wind, clouds and fog. I think that is what separates the men from the boys and women from little girls. I have to take issue with this statement. Many, many people have successfully completed this mission and the campaign. One piece of advice: never forget that altitude and distance are your friends when faced with the possibility of confronting people who would do you harm. Altitude and distance my friend. And yes, this mission CAN be completed. One other thing, An A-10 pilot once told me that the the best way to defeat a SAM is to see it (and evade). Keep your head on a swivel and always jink when you hear the RWR. Don't wait or you'll get hit. Well, I've created the campaign the way I would want to fly one and did NOT want to copy someone else's technique. By all accounts, B.D. is THE master in DCS campaign creation. He should be as he's been doing it for 10+ years? I've only been at it for 2. Thank you for your inputs and I will take them under advisement. All the best, John Postscript - if you are still interested, I will be submitting the updated Operation Agile Spear 2.0 within the next two weeks and it will be a free update to everyone who purchased the original campaign. I hope you like it better.
  20. I'm not sure sure how that could happen because with the last DCS World update (2.8.1.34667.2 - the current build) Pig 2 gets deactivated on final due to the problems with landing so I don 't know how this could happen. Possibly you haven't updated to the current version of DCS World? In any event, look for a complete update of Operation Agile Spear to version 2.0 in the next DCS World update.
  21. Reporting this one bug with associated track file attached but this is not isolated to the Mi-8V. I've had similar experiences with EXTREME difficulty when it comes to ordering helos to Land and Takeoff and follow waypoints. You'll see the helo's takeoff at Batumi and then dance around before following through the waypoints. The other problem is the two wingmen following the Flight Lead but but at a good distance and at a very low level when the waypoints are at 2000 feet. The flight lead stays on track at 2000 but the 2 wingmen are low level irregardless of the Formation (Wedge) order. This is a problem not isolated to the MI-8 or this mission. I make every effort to avoid using helicopters due to the difficulty in getting them to respond as instructed. The track file is too large to upload here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/145Zbns2l171BPvhl5xyYiYHjUvuxBp_w/view?usp=sharing John
  22. Got it. Thanks. That probably should have been included in Wags video and/or A-10C II Tank Killer Flight Manual. Alot of people are gonna be asking the same questions.
  23. Yurgon (or anyone) Now that there is a Comm page seems like they deleted the "DTS Upload" screen in the "Load" page for loading weapons. How do we load weapons now? Can't seem to figure that out.
