It is my understanding that these settings are only valid for the weapon type selected, and not for all. So if I have 4 CBU97s and 2 GBU12s then I can set the CBUs to be dropped in pairs with a ripple of 2, while keeping the GBU12s as single / no ripple. This is not the case in the game though at this moment.

If I read the inofficial update notes correctly, there are now more events one can use and influence after ejecting and landing on the ground as parachuter .. so those missions can be now potentially written using LUA and events. as for life rafts, I am not sure if all planes carry them in the seat pan at all times. Being - for example - in AG mode and then switching to SMS page, S-J subpage and jettisoning something will throw you back into NAV mode. This should not be the case.

Switching is normally only done via Cursor Switch depress but only momentarily. If you: - Switch to DGFT override mode via HOTAS, it will select AIM-9s - You press and hold Cursor Switch depress to change mode momentarily - While still holding Cursor Switch depress you cancel the DGFT override mode Now the change in BORE/SLAVE will be permanent. You can reverse it by following the same steps. I am sure that this is not intended.

At the moment in DCS we basically have MODE 4 .. nothing else. So basically APX-101 level, no mode S or mode 5 of the APX-113 :-( And - while I will check - I would be surprised if they had modelled the decouple / couple settings, yet. At the moment from the FCR it looks like the IFF sweeps one sweep with the radar and then displays the results. Which makes little sense of the radar azimuth is shrunk. In the future I think you're absolutely right, we can control it. But for now it appears to be coupled and thus a bug, that was my worry and thus I reported it.

I am sure ED can change the amount of trim change a button press introduces each time TRIM LEFT / TRIM RIGHT is pressed. to maybe a third of the current amount.

Losing lock has been reported as defect already. You should *never* lose a lock when just switching DGFT/MRM/AA mode.

Let's raise this thread from the dead. Everytime I fly I have to correct for minute roll trimming issues. I just briefly tap on the coolie hat on my joystick, but always end up over correcting. Can we please decrease the step size in which (roll) trims are done for the F-16?

I got the feeling that the Sukhogruz does seem to "deflect"/mislead AIM-9X just as easily as other non focal-plane seeker IR missiles. I do not think this is correct, focal plane seeker IR missiles should be much more robust against DIRCM systems.

It is my understanding that the IFF-system is gimbaled to the radar antenna. In the F-16 I can run the TDC against the right or left side in RWS mode to get a smaller azimuth scan from the radar. That means the antenna will only move in that azimuth limit. Hitting TMS left to get an IFF interrogation going will still give you responses from the whole azimuth range. This does not seem correct. No track as this happened in a huge mission.

The F-ACK button will be used a lot!

Boresighting / Handoff from the TPOD is quite difficult I would suspect. And AGM88 works without HTS as well. BR, Deadpool

I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that 10.000 mini dipoles might create a doppler shift higher than a not-notching target. or even broader spread. I would have understood if there was some spread around the ambient wind speed, but nothing that would come close to a jet plane.

I guess it's a fix for AI driving into buildings and getting stuck.

Maybe they fixed some things that didn't find mentioning in the changelogs .. If not .. I would be very disappointed for the timescale of the update .. :-( I am hoping that it's just things that didn't find mentioning, and since I can't try it out now, or later. I'd be glad if you (or someone else) could provide an update on that. That was the intention of my three questions.

No improvement to the F-16s completely fubar radar with JHMCS on or elevation changed? No launch zone indicator for the AIM-9 there either? No TPOD bugfixes?

It would be nice to have an electronic warfare plane in DCS. But that would need the whole Jamming thing reworked.

The RWR has no distance information whatsoever. It just has signal strength. What it then can do is, match the signal against a database of known radar types guess, which radar type it is. And once you know it's say an AN/APG-65(5) you might have the data about emission strength in relation to distance in your RWR db and this estimate how much of a threat it is. But highly classified and no real idea. But there must be a reason why business or ELINT jets are always shadowing radar / missile tests :-) BR, Deadpool

I really want to understand it physically. I understand that chaff is essentially hanging in the air at wind speed. It doesn't have it's own propulsion, but as leaves in the wind, it can have an oscillation or movement of sorts. I understand that this will create all sorts of echos for a radar for whos frequencies it was designed / cut to length. However, I don't understand how it should ever have a doppler shift high above ambient wind speeds + glide to a degree where it wouldn't be rejectable by a pulse doppler radar. Any information on that is welcomed! BR, Deadpool
