As an aside, I remember when the Battlefield series implemented this, and me and my friends quickly retreated back to Ventrilo and disabled it just to get away from all the idiots that kept shouting irrelevant (and often offensive) stuff over the line, making communication between those of us that cared to play "seriously" even more complicated. In my own opinion, you will always need a group of like-minded individuals to get quality communication in games. That's just how it is. And given the existence of freeware remote tools, you don't need everyone to be tech-savvy. Get your mates to install Teamviewer, and you can help them as long as you have a single techie.

Yeah, because you REALLY want to put graphics artists and graphics programmers to work on audio and net-code. Be VERY careful what you wish for. Don't ask the plumber to build your house alarm. Yes, having something ingame that syncs to in-game assets automatically would be awesome. But also yes; asking for graphics programmers to do that means you don't understand software development basics, so please be a little humble in your statements. (Protip: there are many specializations within the title "programmer", same way there are many specializations within the title "surgeon", and there are reasons why thorax surgeons don't open your skull to dig at your brains.) Thanks. :) That said, imo, contrails aren't exactly a small thing either. Well-working contrail systems are massive for A2A combat.

Have you confirmed that you downloaded and installed the upgrade version?

That title made me think this might be some sort of porn spam I have to delete... :D Anyway, something is most likely wrong with your configuration files. In this case, we recommend trying to rename the SavedGames folder for DCS. You can find this folder here: C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\ Simply change this name to "DCS_bak" or something similar. All configuration will then be reset and possible corrupt version will be cleansed. If it now works, simply delete the one you renamed to DCS_bak and forget it, it was the problem, and now you can fly with the new configuration. NOTE: do not import control configuration LUA files from Flaming Cliffs 2! This can, and most likely will, cause all sorts of things to break.

If Steam version of BS2 works, then it was not upgrade version. "Upgrade" keys do not work on Steam. So the reason it didn't work on the DCS World from us is most likely that you selected Upgrade key. :) For reference, you can check the type of key through selecting "Orders" on the website while logged in, it will say "Upgrade" if you have Upgrade. As Skate said; Steam version uses exactly the same system.

Install Lock On into it's own location. FC3 will find it's install location automatically as long as you have DCS World installed. FC3 cannot be installed without first having DCS World.

Not always, depends on how you purchased and exactly what you purchased. There are several retail versions of windows that contain both 32 and 64 bit.

There can be a day or two for keys to be migrated to Steam. (It involves manual work.) Most likely, activating on steam will be avaialbe for your key in a couple days.

Indeed. If I remember right, the dollar bill for the first day (US + France) of the Libyan intervention was in multiple hundred millions. I also remember reading a piece about how stocks were depleted of certain munitions after 1999 Allied Force, with some "pundits" claiming this governed a lot of the response; but the important point to remember in that case was that we're talking about stocks, not dollars. In war, the money is pretty secondary; it's the logistics and replenishment (production) capability that is big. Dollars are peacetime currency, warehouses are wartime currency.

There not being a dollar sign actually means the simulator believes it is installed. This should only happen if it is indeed installed. NOTE: purchases are not related to this. But lets keep this in your dedicated thread.

A few things: 1 - Please check your DCS World install folder; specifically this subfolder: ..\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50 If there is no Ka-50 folder at all, or if this is largely empty, it is indeed not installed in DCS World. 2 - Just to be sure, you have doublechecked in the top left of the activation windows you are clicking away that they do speak of Black Shark 2 / Ka-50?

Which makes two people with nothing to show. Including you. ;) You made a further claim not only of 12, but of lots more, and you also say you have this evidence on hand. So show it. If you cannot for whatever reason, then fine; but you can't claim evidence that you can't show - such "evidence" is useless to the rest of us. If you have the evidence, show it. Goes for all of you. Saying "I have the evidence and you should accept it but you don't get to see it" is childish and helps no-one, including yourself. Now, if it is the case that the imagery you have collected is copyright protected and you therefore cannot publish; just say so. It is not strange that people want to see your evidence when you directly say that you have it, is it? If I quote some performance numbers on an aircraft, and say "well, I have data", they'll want to either have page numbers for the manual/doc in question, or an explanation as to why I am unable to share said things. Attacking others for perceived laziness is also just not on. Play nice, or don't play at all. Please.
