I had a similar problem with my Rift and they were my usb from my motherboard. Connect the rift to the usb-c of the RTX2080ti with an adapter and solved the problem!!.

I use the configuration that Wag recommends in this video. I get 45 constant fps wint i7 6800 @4300Mhz, 32gb RAm, RTX 2080ti EXTREME WATERFORCE @1900 Mhz, In DCS, all in HIGH, TERRAIN SHADOWS in PLAIN, MSAA 2x, PD 1.5 . I use Oculus Rift. Wint Oculus Rift S, the PD can be lower, 1.1 / 1.2 and you will still get better image quality that me.

Same problem... solven ASW OFF As happens to me this from the oculus software upgrade to V 1.36, is an oculus software problem ??

My biggest problems were solved with the deletion of fxo and metashaders2, but my oculus are having a problem with this module: After several perfect minutes (8-10min), begin to appear trail efect and lite loss headtrack... Solution turn off the ASW (left_ctrl + Numpad 1),after a few seconds turn on ASW (left_ctrl + numpad 3) and goes well for for another 10 min, then come back. ASW has a problem wint this module??. The oculus sofware is the last version 1.36. Asw is wrong in v1.36?? Solution turn off asw for me

What RAM do you have on your computer? Min 16GB. With 8gb goes very wrong. I have 32gb ram on my computer. This module cosume a lot of ram, try to put textures in medium. I should improve

Solved!!!. Delete folders fxo and metashader2 in the USER / Game save / dcs.openbeta... Restart DCS. solves all the performance problems for me.

ASW OFF is the solution, but this can lead to strange effects in the cabin if you have less than 45 fps, at least for me... Use left control + numpad 1, 2, 3 or 4, for desactive, limit to 45fps asw out or limit 45fps wint asw on or asw in automatic mode, respectively.
