  1. Double-check your controller settings for the aircraft in-game. DCS appears to have a habit of randomly assigning axis inputs e.g. after Wednesday's 'Stable' update my TMWH "Thrust", "Pitch" and "Roll" axis were all additionally assigned to a TrackIR axis as well as my previously-configured F/A-18C settings. Annoyingly simply reloading my saved profiles didn't fix it... I had to manually clear the spurious axis assignments.
  2. The Nimrod was unfortunately withdrawn from RAF service 10yrs ago. It is being replaced by the Boeing P-8A Poseidon, with the first of nine aircraft expected to be delivered to 120 Squadron late this year. The P-8A currently serves with the USN, Indian Navy, RAAF, and has been ordered by the RNoAF and RNZAF.
  3. When you select the file, and you're logged-in to your Google account, you choose whether to save it to your own Drive or download it locally. The latter option is highlighted below. Alternatively. simply right-clicking on the file opens a menu with "Download..." as an option at the bottom. If you have no Google account, or you're logged-out, then as Norbot stated downloading to your local computer is the only option offered.
  4. Bo_Nidle has the former covered.... "Jester 55" Top Gun There are a couple of Draken skins already available; Draken Int'l A-4K Skyhawks A4E-C "Draken"
  5. I disengage NWS as soon as I push the throttles through the gate; even with a -25 curve I have enough rudder authority to correct minor "drift" during takeoff.
  6. Not according to Boeing. and they should know. No A-G ordnance is listed for the F-15C.
  7. Also recommended is Robert L Shaw's book "Fighter Combat - Tactics & Manoeuvring". Like Pete Bonanni, Shaw was also a vastly-experienced combat pilot and instructor so it's safe to say he knew what he's talked about. It's not an easy read or a "quick win" button, but the many sequential diagrams make the basic principles clear for even non-aviators. You still have to fly (and fight) the aircraft but your choice of tactic at the merge should now be clearer. Numerous quotes from throughout history are also used to illustrate the text... the musings of legends such as Adolf Galland, "Pappy" Boyington, Robin Olds etc bring home the reality of aerial close-combat.
  8. I was under the impression that all RoNAF -MLU aircraft had internal AN/ALQ-162 jammers, BAF aircraft used the indigenous CARAPCACE system, and RDAF F-16s utilised PIDS/AN/ALQ-10. RNlAF and PoAF -MLU otoh equip the AN/ALQ131 pod on sta4. Admittedly my experience is with a sim that predates your service though, so I'm happy to be corrected. :-) There goes my ASM option then, as we won't (shouldn't) get the Harpoon. Okay, enough reality.... let me remember them slamming unerringly into the Kuznetsov please! :-D Heck yes it would. but too sensitive for inclusion unfortunately. In all seriousness, I'll die happy if I get to fly any F-16C in DCS. You never forget your first true love.
  9. Yes.... and no. :-) Post-CCIP, aircraft are covered by the CM-series of technical orders, but most F-16s are still officially designated as -CD/-CJ by the USAF despite the CCIP program being (I think) complete. To a layman it's very confusing... p.s. I'll take a 22FS F-16CJ circa 1998 please ED. in case you're asking.... plus a 157FS "Swamp Rats" Have Glass livery 'cos it's cool. I'll raise you those, plus the RNoAF F-16-AM's integral ECM and AGM-119 Penguin missile. Ain't gonna happen though so USAF Block 50 circa 2000 will do just fine. :)
  10. So long as it has the "Fox Head" logo behind the canopy it's good. True story... once upon a time I bought a payware F-16 'pit for another sim just to have a custom 157FS helmet which wasn't visible in-game! :megalol:
  11. Count me in too, Cap'n. A "Swamp Fox" livery is s must, preferably... Make two old men happy... :smilewink:
  12. Yes please! The BAF Viper demo schemes are another obvious target; always striiking.,.. ....as are many of the unique "Tiger Meet" designs.
  13. We can hope. ;-) HTS & LITENING should be applicable, no? HARM, GBU-1x, AGM-65x, Mk8x dumb bombs and Rockeye/CBU-97 CBUs will keep me happy. Bonus points for the AIM-9X as I love the ASRAAM/HMS combo in the -MLU. Perhaps, but I certainly appreciate the link to the MMC info you posted. As an old Falcon 4/AF pilot getting back in the saddle it was very informative. p.s. ED, please give us Europeans a 480FS "Warhawks" livery. Unless you change plans and model the Block 52, in which case the 157FS "Swamp Foxes" is a "must have". :-)
  14. All but the earliest Block 50 models have been upgraded to Block 50D standard. See f16.net According to CodeOneMagazine, "New-production Block 50/52 aircraft ordered after 1996 include color multifunction displays, the modular mission computer, and a multichannel video recorder." The Lockheed Martin F-16 A/B MLU Production Tape M1 "Pilot's Guide" I have (declassified, available on the internet via FOI) dated 15 November 1998 definitely refers to MMC functionality. Disclaimer: as an old Falcon4/AF driver getting back in the saddle I would literally throw money at a hi-fi F-16 model using the DCS engine.
