  1. Hi, I have the problem that I cannot refuel, rearm or even talk to ground crew or Controller of a FARP in a mulitplayer mission, when I am the host. I built a mission, which should be like a team match. Each team has to protect and clear the way for his own convoy along one road down a valley. Due to the length of the valley, I built a FARP at one checkpoint - one FARP for every team. When the checkpoint is freed, supply units spawn at the FARPs, making takeoff or refuelling etc possible. The Kamovs placed at the FARPS have 0% Fuel, so cant be used as long as the FARP is not freed. Now many tests showed that every client can refuel and rearm and talk to the controller at these FARPs, only me, the host, gets no answer, what ever I do, whatever team I am, whatever FARP I try. I would say, this is one of the many bugs in multiplayer gaming. ;)
  2. Here the same. Had an AVIRA Update 2 days ago, just turned on the PC for 10minutes yesterday and the warnings popped up every 30seconds. I pressed "ignore" but that didn´t work. I use the International DL version of BS, Win Vista 64bit.
  3. So I followed this thread with some amusemente, I must admit, but now I join the chorus... ;) I wish there were peace on earth and everybody would be happy. I wish the trees in Black Shark had a damage modell I wish the Mission Editor would have some kind of 3D option to place objects. I wish I was a millionaire and wouldn´t have to work anymore... ;)
  4. Problem solved
  5. Well SDeath, I only downloaded your Checklist and I was only reffering to your checklist and so was my comment regarding the unplugging of the GPU... ;) I only read the first and the last page of this thread, so I don´t know what was going on between, but I am only referring to the first post and I guess that was yours... ;) Someoneelse answered, well...
  6. As far as I know, you can only define to which side the message belongs, but not direct it to a single player, but I maybe wrong. To define that only the blue side should read the message, you have to choose "Front coalation" in the trigger. So only the sides the trigger activating player belongs to, gets the message.
  7. I tried it on a map, where all clients should activate a group, with a trigger "unit outside zone", so i made a trigger for every client. All clients and client-groups where named "client 1" to "client X", but only the client, which was host, activated the trigger. I tried the same with "unit in zone", with the same result, remembering the words from the GUI that something doesn´t work in MP, i figured out triggers don´t work either. I could post the miz.file in the evening, but I already overworked this problem in the mission by a time-trigger, and I have no time to do some more test in the moment.
  8. Jepp, but I guess you were Client and Host? The Host can activate Triggers, but Non-Host-Players can´t. At least it never worked in my missions i built for online sessions. But please tell me when you find out more.
  9. Yes, i made the same experience. Use another client besides host to trigger a zone/event, didn´t work, so didn´t the flags. So MP missions are rather limited in my opinion, because you can´t activate events oder groups by players. If the host gets shot down, there is no one left to activate the triggers f.e.
  10. Hi all, I was searching this forum for a hint, but didn´t find one. Maybe its too obvious, but I have no clue. I switched off "external view" in my singleplayer game, and would like to have this too in my MP missions. But when I start one of my MP missions the external view is on. I know that I can enforce "external view" in in the Editor, but I want to enforce that external view ist NOT avaliable. How do I do that? Thx in advance...
  11. Recently i tried myself with the DCS missioneditor. Till now i was only familar with the IL2 missionbuilder, so this was utterly new to me. When i was ready so far and wanted to test the mission with my friends in multiplayer i noticed the mission file grew up to 11MB. This was too much for multiplayer, cause the transmission time took too long imho. So i started the same mission all over again, but straight without the try and error development, from my first try. Now the same mission, with the same soundfiles, briefings, triggers, units and so on, was only 500kB. So i wonder, what determines the size of a *.miz file? Is this growing caused by the scripting system/ saving system of the editor? What are the usual limits for *.miz files for good online playing? Thanks in advance... PS: At the moment i have some fun/trouble making a small mini-campange around a fictional story line for mulitplaying, but found out, that triggering events is somewhat limited for mulitplayer sessions. But anyhow great editor, but i desperatly miss the the 3D placing system of IL2. ;)
  12. Great Checklist, thank you for your efforts and time spent. I just thought the GP-Generator should only be disconnected, after the AC/DC GP switches in the heli are turned off, because of sparking or is there any special reason?
  13. I have to correct myself, unfortunatly. The stripes and bars are there whatever shadow quality i use and despite DX9 entry (whatever, I use XP so DX9 anyway). While testing i didnt use TIR so my head stayed centred and stripes and bars were less, now when i move head, this stipes reappear. Didn´t find anything else regaring this bug, but a cloudmod for LOMAC.
  14. Well, thanks for the hint. I found this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34473&highlight=clouds+shadow, which describes this issue methinks, but the method using -DX9 in shortcut properties didn´t do it. Before i had shadows set to ALL PLANAR, now i use FULL ACTIVE or ACTIVE PLANAR and there are less stripes. BTW: The dark shadow you see on the pics, only apear in certain angles of view and with HEAT BLUR active and running engines, methinks. In the test with shadows set to: ACTIVE PANAR or FULL i didn´t see this ugly shadow again. Lets see... I will try it with this shadow settings, thanks... ;)
  15. Hi all, I searched this forum for a hint regarding this graphic bug, but i wasn´t lucky. I don´t know how to call this but either, but i am sure this is an old issue and has been resolved long time ago, just didn´t find the solution. Maybe someone can give me a link, hint or whatever to get rid of this black, stripes and bars, appearing vertical around the horizon in cockpit view. The only appear with certain weather conditions and time, but they annoy me somehow. Here a screenshot from cockpit view, and you see this stripes and bars at the horizont. They flicker and zip around, and drive me nuts... I don´t have em in the outside view, as you see on this image. My system: Q9450 - 4 GB DDR3 RAM - XP PRO - ATI 4850 Thanks in advance and so long, SNAFU
