[FIXED INTERNALLY] All datalink contacts appear as friendly
HayMak3r replied to RyanFlint's topic in Bugs and Problems
They did fix it. But then it looks like something was messed up with the patch that had the fix. They found and corrected that internally. So, I would be very surprised if the internal fix is not in the next patch? -
td box and bomb fall line not moving on target CCRP mode
HayMak3r replied to dave76's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
also. try TMS down. it should reset the tgp cursor to front and center. in CCRP mode, that should move the steerline/box as well in the hud. If it doesn't then something else is going on. Like alignment/etc. I also noticed the other day, that the tgp cursor was moving in the mfd, but nothing was happening in the hud. I had to turn the tgp off, and then back on, let it warm back up, and then re-did A-G, cycled from ccrp to ccip and back to ccrp. Then everything worked. This happened in the last update. I had never had any issues prior to that. -
yes exactly. if I basically double-click on nav to get from stor hdg to nav, and then go back to align, I have seen it restart. but also, if I go to align, and then nav with a few second delay, it will also restart when going back to align. I was thinking on how to best explain it, but maybe I should edit it somehow. I just know that if i go too fast, it restarts the alignment too.

[FIXED INTERNALLY] All datalink contacts appear as friendly
HayMak3r replied to RyanFlint's topic in Bugs and Problems
I am using the through the inferno PG mission, and I am experiencing this, and this issue is happening. :( I am doing a single player mission. Identifying them doesn't work until basically the bogey fires on me. Sorta sucked the first couple times I played, because I trusted that the DL/IFF issue was fixed lol. -
I read the thread, and didn't see this, so if I missed it, I apologize. 1. For stored hdg alignment. You turn the switch to that and leave it there until you get to 10 and flashing rdy. 2. Switch slowly to nav. I say slowly, because I've seen if you click the switch fast, and do the next step, it can restart the alignment for some reason. 3. Switch back to norm, and let the alignment finish from 10 to 6. 4. Switch back to nav again, and you are all set. Note, that when you do stored hdg align, you do NOT input your coords, per wags, this is by default right now that we assume our ground crew already "put" the coords in for you prior to the flight. He said something along those lines if I recall. for NORM, you DO go and enter, and dobber down, enter, etc.. on the lat/long/alt on the INS page. You need to do that within the first couple minutes of the alignment. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Dang. I was hoping to NOT find a thread like this :(. Unable to get MP server list.
-
I have only noticed this when I am in dogfight mode... Are you sure you are not in dogfight mode instead of actual A-A or A-G?
-
whern doing the stored alignment are you hitting enter at all on the list 6 page? You are NOT supposed to do anything there.
-
just stating that I too have noticed this. And it is NOT properly aligned if rdy does not flash. You must start over if this happens. Something changed during alignment. Or you started the alignment too quickly.

Just wanted to update this. I have been testing both the rift S and the quest. They both work great!! The software IPD adj of the Rift S DEFINITELY works better than the reverb does. I could literally use either one. BUT the S seems to run smoother. I can sustain 40FPS with delays in the teens without really much of a settings change. My PD is at 1.9. With the same settings on the quest, I get locked 20 or up to 36 fps. I also seem to get a little bit of a stutter every so often with it. I have a cheaper usb-c cable plugged in to my 2080 super currently. I am testing the usb-c on my mobo as well as using the anker cable that Oculus suggests in place of their link cable. If I get no stutter with those changes, then I think I may keep the quest. The SDE seems to be basically the same between the two as well. I have yet to fly at night though, so not sure how the screens look between the two in the dark. Both are definitely an improvement over the cv-1. albeit as thuds chart shows.. not by a lot. Cheers!

what throttle do you use? on the warthog, comms is default to the mic switch. which is the 4 axis plus push button thumb switch. uhf is up, and vhf is down, and I have the push button set to ptt within SRS settings. up also is set in srs and down to select the different comms. I had this issue a while back where I couldn't really hear as well. It was my firewall blocking the connection. Even though SRS showed all 3 things connected with green, I had to alter my rule for dcs to account for the other srs servers I have been joining. So hopefully one of those things above is your issue. Cheers! Hopefully this works, but this is the template for the warthog setup on the viper: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/?arrFilter_pf[filetype]=70&set_filter=Y&PER_PAGE=100&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=30&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&CREATED_BY=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC I don't think this is exactly the default profile anymore, but it at least gives you an idea of what I was talking about :) Granted this means nothing if you are not using that throttle..

Well dang. you are soo lucky lol. Having a 55mm IPD sucks! I feel like I will end up with the quest as it has manual IPD adjustment like the cv-1. Cheers!
-
Excellent! I ordered both yesterday. I hope one of them works for me over this reverb :( Thank you so much for the response! Do you care to share what your ipd is? Just for comparison.

Hi Scuby, I am in the market to find a better solution to my cv-1, and found your thread. Is your stance still the same as back in 2019? last, oculus has the oculuslink now. So hopefully that helps to change the latency or warping? Thanks!

ugh. I am returning my reverb. I am in the same boat it seems as there are just a lot of issues for me with the reverb. There is a small sweetspot, my low IPD made it next to impossible to not feel as if I was going cross-eyed and seeing double-vision on all wording everywhere. I am coming from the cv-1, and I had to plug it back in last night. I gave it a shot with the reverb, but it just isn't comfortable enough to wear for hours. The thick cable is beyond annoying as well. The plastic cover/connector sits right at the top of my chair, and slides across it whenever I move. The fit on my head just isn't great. To get it to look halfway playable, I need the hmd to sit away from my eyes a little more so perhaps a thicker cushion? but really it needs to sit differently all together. Super disappointed that this thing didn't work out. I think for now I am going to go to the rift-s. Unless my research shows that the sde isn't that much better. As well as the black-lighting compared to the cv-1. I don't want to hijack this thread, but I came across it in my search to see what others though about the reverb. Don't get me wrong though. the resolution was fantastic in my pin point sweet spot. the f-16 pit was crystal clear. I just can't overcome the cons presented to me. I know these are my issues, and don't doubt that this is an amazing hmd for a person that fits in to the specs of it. I may just be stuck with the cv-1 as my IPD is 55. Sorta sucks :(

I dunno. Maybe it's fixed lol. Played a new sp mission, and it seemed back to being awesome again!

Dang. I completely uninstalled and deleted all remnants of DCS world, and reinstalled fresh. The graphics are the same. Though the game DOES run smoother now haha. I am not sure how I can show this to you all though. Right after the patch, all wording in the entire cockpit was very crisp. Lit up indicators like on the eyebrows for canopy/engine related had a great hue around them too. the mfd text was very crisp, and a little larger than it had been too. And now it's all back to the same. Hard to read on all accounts. My pixel density is at 2.0, and everything else is using the VR setting except for textures are set to high. terrain texture is low? whatever the default vr setting is.
-
Hmm has anybody had graphics revert back to before the patch? I jumped on some MP servers, and everything was back to the way it was :( I then went to SP and same thing. It's like I lost the patch or something? Yet I am on 2.5.6 :( I deleted the texture and fxo folders and that didn't help either. Do I need to reinstall perhaps? Everything looked great right after the patch update, and now nothin :(

[CANNOT REPRODUCE] The new MFD is unreadable in VR
HayMak3r replied to metzger's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
That is odd. I am able to literally read everything now. It is Night and Day difference. Running CV1 for reference. After an initial flight with the patch, and the awesome visuals, my cockpit is back to being pre-patch? It's so hard to explain :( But mfd's are hard to read, indicators are hard to read. I don't know what happened :( I even uninstalled and reinstalled. AND made sure there were no folders/files left behind before doing so. -
I just wanted to say thanks! The updates to the viper are amazing!! Well done!

I will need to create a new track.. I watched a few last night, and there is a lot of wasted time. Also uhm, is the replay supposed to not follow how you taxi? in my replay of a few, I was taxiing all over the place, and in one instance my jet took off on the grass, went diagonally across the runway and crashed in to the fence on the side of the airport? This most definitely did not happen during the actual MP session..
