  1. Thanks both! It makes sense. I will try DCS VR again on W10 in a few hours and let you know, hopefully it was because of HAGS and lets me update to W11 again. @speed-of-heatwhat usage % do you observe in your 12700KF when using VR? I used FPSVR and the frametime for the CPU was really high, mid to top 20s even in simple Free Flight missions. This was on W11 and didn't check about HAGS so no idea if that was on.
  2. I know I know, but still a 10% usage is very very low even if DCS is only using 2 cores.
  3. My problem was also that my CPU only was being used at 10% with terrible frametimes (mid to upper 20s) and my GPU was at 10 ms. Does HAGS cause that as well?
  4. If I had read this before deciding to go back to W10 I would have tried it. Unfortunately I wasn't that pacient. In any case, going to try DCS VR on W10 and maybe I'll upgrade again to W11 after that and see if HAGS was the culprit.
  5. Will do that! Now that I'm on W10 again I'll set up DCS and check the performance on VR here. Then maybe I go to W11 again and see if it works better with HAGS and this setting you are mentioning disabled. Thanks.
  6. Maybe it was that and rushed the formatting too much. I'm already on Windows 10 but I'm thinking about trying our W11 again, although it would be very annoying to finding out that even with HAGS disabled my performance will still be bad. Really don't know what to do.
  7. So this weekend I got my 12700KF and installed it together with the 3070 Ti and G2sin Windows 10. Configured everything for IL-2 and worked great. Then, before setting up DCS, I decided to update to Windows 11 and this is where things started to go bad in the VR front. IL-2 lost frames and although I was still using reprojection, the game started to lock to 60 hz losing this feature and having more stutter. Then in DCS the CPU was being used at 10% with frametimes in the upper 20s despite having SteamVR at 60% resolution. Even in simple mission like free flights. Went back to Windows 10 and IL-2 was fixed but I’m yet to try DCS as for some reason it forced me to download it again.
  8. Shameless bump and ping to @Hollywood_315so he can take a look.
  9. Hello! So I have noticed that it is not possible to order Jester to lock an specific radar contact. You can do it if you are in TWS and have AIM-54 onboard as in that case the system assigns a number to each track and you can order Jester to lock an specific track using that number. However, if you are not in TWS or you don't have AIM-54 onboard, the system doesn't assign this number and you can't lock an specific contact using AIRIO. If you disable AIRIO and use the wheel instead, you have to option to do so as shown in these screenshots from a Grim Reaper's video: So this means that it should be possible to integrate this into AIRIO. I understand that it would be difficult to integrate it directly into AIRIO as saying the azimuth or knowing which number in the wheel is assigned to each contact is impossible. But I've been thinking and if this idea could be introduced I think it could be a good solution to have this critical ability built into AIRIO: Would it be possible to issue a command that makes pop-out a text message that lists all the contacts with the REL. AZ. and DISTANCE as in the wheel, with an assigned number 1-8 , and then order Jester to lock them by saying that number? For instance: Player: "Lock Specific Target" Result: Text message is shown with: 1. Rel. Az.: 20 Distance: 13 nm 2. Rel. Az.: 18 Distance: 37 nm 3.... Player: "Lock target 2" Result: Jester locks bandit 2 Rel. Az.: 18 Distance: 37 nm I hope something like this could be implemented as having the ability of locking an specific contact is very important. Best regards,
  10. Wondering the same! Actually just made a post about it.
  11. Hello! I am learning the Tomcat and also getting used to AIRIO with which I'm quite comfortable with already. However, when I have several radar contacts and I want to track one of them, I'm having difficulties to get Jester lock one specific contact. Is there any way I can tell Jester to lock a high or low bandit for instance? Thanks in advance
  12. Is it possible to add wind to this mission to practice in different setups? How should I add it to create a realistic environment?
  13. But still have the ATC and the ball call plus LSO comms like in the Supercarrier. Is there any workaround here?
  14. For me ‘See you at ten’ and ‘Tomcat ball’ are not working for the Forrestal. VA just says “Recipient is not Supercarrier’.
  15. Thanks Reflected! All clear, looking forward for the next mission and then time for Fear the Bones. I have discovered that I'm enjoying single player more than I thought. Keep the campaign's coming!
  16. Hello guys and girls, So it is time for Event 03 in the Zone 5 campaign for me. I'm enjoying it a lot and I love to prepare the mission by reading the PDF and relevant info. In the PDF for Event 03, Bio advises to remember an intercept lecture but I haven't been able to find it. Does somebody know what he is referring to? Thanks in advance,
  17. Thanks! Yeah that's what I thought. In my case my main language is Spanish which is supported by speech recognition but it gives troubles with some commands although I realised that if I pronounce the command like I would in Spanish and say the numbers in said language it recognises it. In any case it is better to have it in English of course and it is good to know that workaround.
  18. Yes, I restarted. I will try your tips, thanks! But I think that Windows just refuses to open the speech recognition program if your speech language is different to the display language.
  19. Thanks. I changed it but now the Windows Speech Recognition doesn't open showing an error that says the speech and display languages must match. However, Vaicom still works as intended although as Windows Speech Recognition refuses to open, the voice training environment doesn't work.
  20. Hey guys, I'm wondering if there's any way to set the speech recognition language to English while keeping the display text in Spanish in Windows. Best regards,
  21. Thanks for your detailed post and taking the time to test. I will check those Track files as soon as I get home!
  22. Same here, moving the cursor through the HAS page is tricky because the cursor moves so fast.
  23. Hello! So I'm learning the Viper and thoroughly enjoying it, I think it is my favourite modern jet already. Of course, one of the procedures I'm practicing more are landings and I manage quite well without stores and CAT I configuration. However, yesterday I did a full strike mission for the first time and as I wasn't attacked by any enemy jet so I came back with the 4 Aim-120s and the two bags (empty, I didn't drop it because I wasn't engaged in a dogfight and they are expensive). When attempting landing I went for a pattern as always but I messed up because I was in CAT III configuration as I had the fuel tanks on me, but also the additional weight which I'm not used to. So I have some questions about how to approach this situation: do I have to perform direct approaches under certain weight and loadout configurations? Is changing to CAT I required for landings regardless your loadout? I have searched online but have found nothing, just that there is no maximum landing weight for the Viper. Thanks in advance!
  24. Hey BN, any news on this? I think it also prevents to see label markers set by the mission maker. It hurts the experience in some multiplayer servers.
