Old tread this but wth :) Bored at work and did some research on DLSS and this tread actually came up on top of my search :thumbup: DLSS 2.0 :music_whistling:

Got my 9700K up and running (no OC yet), now if i understood everyone the cpu speed is rather important in dcs. Just put up a flight of 4 of AI over some big towns, cpu usage is only 50-60%, after 3 min of flying the most i saw was 4.6GHZ, is this correct or am i missing something?

Sure something could be saved...but it was old....wifey don't know that :lol::lol: I'm coming from an old intel with max 4.3GHz, 8Gb of ram and a 1070, to a 9700K, RTX2070 super and 32gb of ram :D Downloading game again now, god its taking forever :joystick::pilotfly:

My choises are dropping 16gb of ram, but getting some faster 16gb, something like: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 2933MHz or simular and bumping my CPU to a i7 9700K (slightly more turbo speed) I really can't afford both so what do would be better? Do i really need 32gb of ram? Thx in advance ????

Guess you can use ME for that as well, or simply edit the camp_init.lua DATE section (Recommend Notepad++)

Just open base_mission.miz in ME and remove the deckcrew, resave, go fly :)

Takeoff in under 7 min? Seems no matter what i set startup_time_player = i get 7 min, dont need that much in SP, anyone else? And, swapping out the Stennis called CVN-70 Carl Vinson with the model of the Vinson, will that screw everything up?

Hornet over Persian Gulf. Anyone playing this? Seems my wingman refuse to takeoff from Stennis, he starts to taxi then just parks it in the middle of the boat, am i missing something? Guess an easy fix would be takeoff from runway if someone could talk me trough what files to edit to get that..

@redmantab i finally managed to get passed this mission and im a mediocre pilot at best :music_whistling: You can try this:

Here is what i do and have done 5 times in a row (never got passed the mission as i completely suck at flying in the dark :megalol::megalol: ) Hit bat and start the INS before the radio check, let it finish, then im never above 250 until everyone catches up, speed up to 390-400 when they do and you should make it there in time.

This :) Made a poo 1st time i tried this, no probs when waiting for the hole group to join up :thumbup:

I don't see the problem with easy mode. Look at it this way: Do you want dcs to keep growing? Keep getting new awesome aircraft, not to mention the amazing looking maps we have and will get? Well it's all about the $$$..... So if easy mode, civil aircraft ect is needed to have dcs sell more, bring in the $$$ needed to keep going, so be it. Just a newbs 2 cents :music_whistling:

I used the The DCS Updater GUI Utility to swap from stable to beta, should i rename my saved games folder to dcs open beta or leave as is? Thx in advance
