  1. Hi, Unable to contact wingman in the correct 255 (Preset 1 setup in mission editor) frequency with UHF ANARC159. Worth noticing that I was able to contact the KC135 with that radio. It seems to just not be working with the wingman. Using VHF UHF ANARC182 on 255 (Preset 1 and was able to contact the wingman). It is currently not easy to fly like this since VHF UHF ANARC182 is used for CVN ATC. No Track Please investigate Running last open beta Best, Lau

Hello DCS Dev Team, It is nice that the supercarrier catapult adjusts automatically it's target end speed to compensate for relative wind, for example CVN at 0 kts giving a new catapult end speed of +30 kts or inversely -30kts if CVN is moving at 15kts with a 15 kts wind (hence 30 kts apparent on deck). That being said it defits the real life requirement for a CVN to sail in to the wind prior to aircraft launchs as well as being unrealistic if we take in account the normal performance of a US CVN catapult. "A catapult used in USS Nimitz, called C-13-1, is 99 metres long and has a stroke of 94 metres. In this relatively short distance it is able to generate a substantial amount of speed – its capacity is 36 tonnes at 140 knots." Currently a 0 kts Supercarrier can launch an F14B with GW 34 Tonnes at 171 Kts. You advertise realism for all your products, can I kindly ask you to consider the above. Best, Lau
  3. Hello Flappie, Thanks for the feedback, my initial post mentioned succesfully trying what you suggested but thank you. There is something in my mission preventing it from working. Meanwhile I am using a rather satisfying alternative: I am using a vehicle with precise waypoints times to trigger the mission options, just make sure nothing can hit it and it works like a charm. Hi, To replicate: C101EB FL270 after around 30 minutes flight TEM on both batteries Isolate "OFF" on both to no avail Prior to the caution advisory, I tried to fly on one batterie to keep one cold, but even the batterie that I kept as a backup moved to TEM Repaired DCS with the same result Can anyone confirm if you are also experiencing the same failure on your end.   7. ED, It is appalling to see the level AI is performing, yes more planes, more maps and we are stock with the same AI. Fly MP you would say and I will agree, but come on AI is part of your product and as such deserves the level of attention that you would put in the knob of one of your 3D planes. -AI turning in circles at each waypoint before continuing to the next one, highly unrealistic. -AI turns always at max bank angle and using burners if allowed via editor, flying formation with AI is good training and highly unrealistic. -AI diving or climbing always at max performance, even with custom waypoints via editor (e.g. smooth altitude gaps). -AI not following CASE I, II, III procedures around the supercarrier, just a very bad approximation. -AI not communicating with the supercarrier, flying zip liped all the way -AI KC135 behaving like fighters -AI not using navigation lights and no option in the editor to force them to do so -AI wingman shooting from CAT before lead and then circles just in front of the boat waiting for lead (not realistic considering NATOPS launch patherns) -AI unrealistic cold & dark startup, with no way to adjust this via editor -AI and more unrealistic AI that spoils the immersion of the game DCS AI is not basic it’s simply very bad, please stop promises, retrieve your sleeves and do something about it, as loyal customers we already paid for this. Of course there is much to be said about all other AI units in game, feel free to report under this thread all your AI discrepancies hoping that ED will reduce the gap that has widen up beyond reason as the game continues to evolve.   8. Hi Elysian, Thanks for flying along. Did a new repair this evening and I am pleased to say that the TACAN is working fine including Y channel. I use Y channel for AA (air) and X channel for T/R (ground) Happy flying, Best, Lau
  9. Emmy, Thanks for trying to help. This is a regular mission that I am flying all the time, 56Y AA is what is setup in the mission editor, I did check the tanker setup just to make sure and everything is ok in the mission editor, after beta uptade TACAN needle stopped pointing at the AA station. As usual I installed the beta update and did a DCS repair. Did you test your TACAN on a AA station? Try it if no one can reproduce this I will try another rapair. Best, Lau
  10. Hello Heatblur Sim, One more attempt to ask if you could simply make the night lights work on the RIO pit. Even with the DCS flashlight it is currently not possible to read the current switch position. Yes, they are ways around this, like jumping in the front seat, asking the pilot in MP, checking the TACAN range and bearing, but just some light in this switch will be awesome for the folks that love flying at night.   11. Hey everyone, Possible broken TACAN on last BETA, from souvenirs needle is not pointing in the right direction while trying to intercept a tanker (yes I did double check 56Y and AA mode). I unfortunately have no more time to test this further and would be glad if anyone can confirm and reproduce this on your end. Thanks and best, Lau
  12. Good evening all, Enjoying a night mission that always start by AAR with NVGs, noticed that activating the tanker also activates very bright navigation lights. Since it is unlikely that ED adds an option to turn off the Tanker navigation lights in the comms menu, I was wondering if Heatblur Dev Team could consider making the AAR probe light much brighter. To have an idea of what I mean, please reference the F/A-18C probe light, it allows to AAR without NVGs, hence no problem with nav lights and NVGs. I like using NVGs but just found the brightness of the nav lights kind of disturbing. Best, Lau

Hello everyone, -INS alignment of F14B parked at rear starboard elevator interrupted by crazy shaking while S3B launching from CAT 1. -F14B AI waved off at all times by LSO -AI taxi logic, AI planes not holding short while player aircraft moves and wrong taxi routes on deck (eg: taxi too close to the island where choppers are parked). -Adapted Taxi routes taking in consideration F14B size (route diconfliction between aircrafts) -A way to spawn players aircraft at desired parking spot, other than delaying aircraft spawn from mission editor. I understand all of this is probably been worked on as I write these lines, just wanted to make sure it is part of the work flow or else have your feedback. Best and thanks, Lau

  17. Hi Vibora, Just to help me understand: a) Is it the real airplane cockpit lightning (black & red) that is not compatible with real world NVGs? Or b) Is it the current development of your rendition of the C101 in DCS that is not yet compatible with DCS NVGs (black & green lightning) ? In the event that you reply (b): Heatblur F14 cockpit lightning is black & red and works fine with DCS NVGs, but again I might not have understood your previous message.   19. Hey everyone, Noticed that the C101 does not require rudder inputs to keep the slip indicator centred. No matter the bank angle, the slip indicator remains pretty much centred without pilot rudder corrections. Realistic or a Bug? Thanks in advance for your feedback, Best, Lau

  21. Hi, Trying some AAR using NVGs and would like to lower the pilot seat to better see the wing of the KC135. Also, I did not mange to lower the HUD brightness using the dedicated button; I did manage to switch off the HUD to use NVGs in the meantime. Best, Lau
  22. Hello, Thanks for all your dev work on the C101. I was unable to add assignement to the warthog for NVG & Flashlight. Would be greatfull if anyone could shade some light in to a possible issue preventing to do this. In the control panel the area where this should happen is greyed darker than other areas where this is possible. Starting to think that this has to do with the dev work required for the texture lightning to simulate NVG and flashlight effect. If so, will this be implemented to allow for night flight training operations? Thanks in advance for your feedback, Best, Lau

  24. Hey Everyone, There is no way for DCS not to implement this feature. The easy way: In FSX it is as simple as giving a key combo to the player to action/stop the push back. The pilot lignes up the jet as best as possible, action the key combo to push back the airplane in to the parking slot. At any time the push back can be stopped to better position the plane before a new attempt. An easy peace of development and so useful. A more elaborated way later down the road: Allow ground crew AI to take care of the plane once in the proximity of a parking slot that matches the airplane size. Take full advantage of this feature to showcase ground personnel animations and the use of mule, fire trucks. Best, Lau
  25. + 1 Catapult 3 & 4 broken, will launch aircraft vertically after attempting to hook up to the catapult. Tried catapult 1 with no avail since carrier is not giving take off clearance after requesting it throught the centextual menu (Com # 1 127.5 Mhz) and once at the right position to hook up to the catapult, CVN ATC will just dirtect you to go back to the parking area. Please fix the boat so we can continue having fun with DCS!
