  1. That’s why I can't lock on to anything in "Dusk", as soon as I get near the target area. I thought I was going mad. I even started locking on to electricity pylons en route, thinking, "yes, the Shkval is still working...”. Luckily, Russia has never been at war with Iceland to my knowledge. The KA 50 would be buggered in winter.
  2. I just fired up BS for a quick blast before work this morning on a custom mission I made, [no 1 hour travel time only to be blown to bits when you eventually get there :)] Mindful of past mid air buffoonery I commanded my wingmen to “combat formation”, and gave them a minute to get their arses sorted out. I then executerda fairly sedate 50 dg banking turn (no Airwolf stuff), only to hear the ominous drone of engines from behind me then..WHUMP. [Take two] ...approaching the rebel base in “the other side” [campaign mission edited to take out the ½ hour trundle to get there]. As the Hinds approached, I order wingmen to “cruise”, (100m spread), then, “combat”, (200m spread), as the valley widened. I couldn’t get a good bead on the bandits so retreated, dispensing flares. Once at a safe distance I tried the ‘Airwolf turn*’, you know; Fast, then, pitch down and full rudder to pivot the tail round and face your enemy......WHUMP. Now, please ED. Either give me a new wingman command. Something along the lines of “GET THE BLOODY HELL OUT OF THE WAY WE ARE NOT STUCK IN A SUPERMARKET QUEUE”, or give the wingman AI more self preservation routines. Loving the game though. It’s the best flight sim since Falcon 3, [4 was far too buggy and green! – begin controversy :smilewink:] * I am unaware of the correct military name for this manouver.
  3. I would concur with Wombat778 here. It’s very counter intuitive to have an English labelled cockpit, then buy a manual which describes the function of that cockpit using Russian images which don’t correspond to anything in the actual English cockpit as that has English labels. It’s like wading through custard.
  4. Well, as someone who has extensive experience in training and providing training materials, if I was to provide materials to my users / trainees with RUSSIAN labels whilst they were looking at ENGLISH equipment, I would be out of a job pretty quickly, (or being chased by men with butterfly nets). However, I have pre-ordered the manual and, although I groaned when Wags posted that the English manual would have the Cyrillic labels, (which does make the learning process much harder, let’s be honest), I am sure that I will figure it all out and it’s got to be better than squinting at a PDF or printing your own, (and cheaper). There is also the extra content to consider, which, if you look at the contents pages, (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=39994), are quite extensive. For £20? Bargain. Well done ED. Bring on the A-10! You can add Russian labels to that if you like ;) C
  5. There are some specific settings required to tame the Cyborg Evo Force. In the control panel for the stick, set 'default spring' to 0% and deselect "spring is always on". That should stop it re-centering itself all the bloody time making flight impossible and 'trimming' totally useless. As for the rumble. I've never felt the slightest kick out of mine in BS although it’s fine in IL2 and FSX. Looks like ED haven’t implemented that.
  6. Pre Ordered on Amazon. It's just too difficult to read a PDF whilst playing. All that alt-tab bollocks. One concern is that, if the printed manual is a copy of the pdf, that it will have all the cryllic in there; "ПУЛЬТЫ ЛЕВ. ПРАВ" Left/right panels brightness regulator. Increase [LCTRL + LALT + L] and decrease [LSHIFT + LCTRL + L]. ...that kind of thing. This makes it even harder to find anmything as the UK version of the game ships with an english cockpit, not Russian. Here's hoping for a little more localisation.
