I don't know if this would help, but I use these little boards with my rotary encoder, https://gear-falcon.com/products/encoder-boards-with-dedicated-cpu It converts the rotary pulses to simple button presses. I use these all over my F-14 panels. For the course and heading, in the F-14 LUA there is 2 digital settings for those knobs, course and fine control, course movement allows for quick movement but not very accurate, fine moves slowly, I set up a control modifier that when I press the rotary button it switches between the 2 modes for each one.

Seriously, I'm running out of stuff to make for the front seat. And no I don't plan on making the RIO pit. I made a faux tape player to operate the tape player in game. It's a quantum button box it exists in both the stupid and cool plane of existence. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/tape-player-button-box-for-dcs-f-14-tomcat

Think of the stupidest button box you could make for DCS.... yup. I made it. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/tape-player-button-box-for-dcs-f-14-tomcat Hey Heatblur, if you're watching we need an axis for the tape deck volume. I had to use a rotary to control the volume and it's not very precise.

My latest addition, I was thinking about ejection handles, and I really wanted to make something that easily travels with the boxes, so I decided to make a harness release handle you find on the base of the seat and use it as my ejection handle and arm/disarm. I bought a break light switch on Amazon, designed a box to hold it, and programmed the arduino pro micro to press the button 3 times when the switch is activated. I also added an arm/disarm switch up front which would be the seat adjust switch. And just for fun I built in some safety measures like a pin to keep the handle from moving, a trigger release to keep the handle seated until you actually grab it. It's fairly big for the limited functionality but it's pretty fun, and with the arm switch so easily accessible, I could get rid of Jester pretty quickly if I wanted to, disarm, fire.

Yes, it saved me a lot of work trying to figure out all the electronics, it might not be dimensionally accurate, but it's really close and you'd never really notice much. The functioning slip indicator is something I'm not Arduino savvy enough to pull off. I bought mine off someone on these forums, but if I hadn't I'd be satisfied at full price. The artist in me had to make it look better though. And if I get one more joke about putting the wire over the buttons..... Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Updated the ACM panel to be more realistic, thought I would take a photo of the 3 pieces that make up the desk mounted panels. They're all mounted to virpil long desk mounts. Getting close to being done with this. Still have to wire up the knobs and switches for the left gauges and the panels on the right sidewall panels. Really just want to play with it for a few months before I start adding stuff. Sent from my Samsung Chromebook Plus using Tapatalk

Finished the new enclosure for my Tekcreations ACM Panel. I didn't discover that my left fire anunciator fell off until it lit up, Decided to take a family photo with the 3 front mounted pieces, I think the deskpit is looking pretty sporty. The AOA and Wing Sweep gauges are non functional. All that's left is wiring up the left gauges panel, and the right side lower console and this will be done until I decide to start playing with servos and extra monitors. couple fit issues, but at least the TekCreations PCB fits perfectly in there. Fire light mounts are too close to the center, but I'm going to have to reprint several parts anyway.

A guy who owns a cockpit sent me the numbers the lever itself bottoms out at 4 3/8 against the pivot base .565 on width of handle 1.5 inches height Lever base is 1/2 square aluminum Sent from my Samsung Chromebook Plus using Tapatalk Started working on a more realistic case for my TekCreations ACM Panel Sent from my Samsung Chromebook Plus using Tapatalk

You mean the function of it? I just looked at gear handle designs all over the place and decided how I wanted to do it. It doesn't have the emergency twist like the real thing but a fellow with a real cockpit sent me some measurements from the panel to the tip. I noticed images I upload directly to the website don't show up on the tapatalk app for some reason. Are you reading through that? Got the remote radio displays working tonight

Busy weekend

Not entirely true, you don't get the axis functionaility, but it sends a different digital button press when you twist it one way or the other. Same with the DLC wheel and the paddle. On a Virpil base they all show as an axis on the TM base they all show up as button presses. Sent from my Samsung Chromebook Plus using Tapatalk

Front side panels are done and fully functional with DCS Bios controlling the indicator lights. Need to finish the left side control panels next before finishing the right side panels and getting to fly again.

That said, if someone trained it on the Tomcat NATOPS, maybe you've got something
