I assume during the beta testing a lot of people must have still overlooked it when it wasn't green and red, and that's why they decided to highlight it, Perhaps if it was further down the list where it's more evident.

If it's anything like the problem I as well as other people have had with assigning the x52 throttle unit to the collective then you have to go to controls and from the larger drop-down box choose the green highlighted option "Axis Commands" below "All". There are options there for mapping the axes to sticks. Most people overlook it purely because it is highlighted green and appears to be some sort of sub-heading.

It would be really sweet to call in an MLRS barrage! I'd love to see a small village illuminated by all those little blue dots on the map screen.

You're right, it's too bad. I have a feeling once the patch is released it'll become more active though.

Yeah, I always get so stoked when someone with his skills gets on board with a new game's mod community.

I didn't think porn was allowed on the forum! Seriously though, that's a really nice model, looks very heavy and chunky. I am really anxious to see some shots or maybe a video of the cockpit.

That is a very, very kool website, bookmarked it, thanks Shemi, good find! -
Nah i fly as Kodiak, this forum name was just me being silly after watching a lot of Battlestar Galactica. Good luck with your game server! What is it called? I'll join and see if i can help bolster your numbers.

I think i know which mission that is, as i posted a question about it some time ago. Do you have to try and climb over some mountains? The answer i got was that in order to achieve a good climb rate and not push the engines to their full, was to ensure i had a forward velocity of about 130KM/h, which is optimal. Here is my thread, see what you think http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=39411

When do you use flight director?
Frakin Toasters replied to muamshai's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Not for me :P I have moved everything around to be more comfortable for my brains. I am so getting that collective attachment for the X-52 btw. -

Try looking around http://www.DeviantArt.com, they have a fine array of 3D artists, use the search bar at the top and if you find a nice one, ask if you could utilise it, most people there are very friendly and are willing to share their work in collaborative efforts. -
Playing with this mod is an absolutely amazing experience, please never stop making mods like these

They're using X-52 joysticks! I have one of those! That's awesome :P

It's too bad the engine has such issues with sound. I would love to be able to hear the rapid deep thumping that you hear when a chopper is flying high up over-head when you're on in the street. Or one that is some distance away. The sound cuts out sharply when you zoom out away from a whirly bird in DCS

Actually you know what, i just read through this thread and immediately started thinking "man what are these people on, how can inverting the peddles feel natural?" But then i realised that i've never spent a lot of time using rudder peddles in any simulator, apart from maybe once or twice in an arcade aircraft game. It feels weird in my mind at first because i've always used a twist axis, and in battlefield 2142 i use the left and right arrow buttons as i fly with the mouse, so pressing the side you want to go in seems more logical. But then i had a real long think about it and tried to imagine myself doing it in a real cockpit, and i actually can imagine an inverted system being very intuitive. It would take some getting used to of course, but there's nothing concrete about having it the non-reversed way that would may it impractical or overly illogical to have it reversed. I guess it's less of thinking about where your feet are and more about what position your legs/thighs are in. When it's inverted, your knee would point in the direction you want to turn, which makes sense if you train yourself to think that way.

Cheers TR, you're a legend :)

Problem with laser rangefinder
Frakin Toasters replied to therion_prime's topic in Bugs and Problems
Y'know, it's weird, i've played this sim a lot, and i am very frivolous with the laser, in that i never pay any attention to it, or worry about it burning out. And so far, it has never been an issue to me. -
