im not following you, do you mean if i lost lock/turned radar off and the aim7 is close to target it would still guide itself in? if so how? does it have its own small radar in it??
I know we have no anti ship missiles etc but is it possible to lob an lgb (or 8) from great height and speed and then buddy lase using talds to keep the sams at bay?
Whats the best method for the cat to kill an angry cruiser?
There was a bug with it that caused massive airframe damage when its on. Iv seen multiple aircraft litterally fall apart while cruising straight and level.
Turn it off and test it again
iv doen a bit more testing and it appears that it IS slaved to the radar target but on my vdi when i move the aircraft nose then the tcs wallows around like drunk hippo on ice trying to follow the target, it DOES find it again but any movement and its gone again.
on the rios display its rock solid and doesnt move.
any idea if therees a workaround or if its even on the fix list?
i use the tcs for viz id ALOT so this really bugs me
it kind of locks but not really, i THINK it locks once but wont track so i have to keep exactly the same attitude or it just wonders off with the nose.
ps it stays tracked on target in the rios display
The THROTTLE MODE (1) switch sets throttle mode to AUTO, BOOST or MAN modes respectively, with auto being springloaded back to boost but held in place electrically as mentioned above.
what does that actually mean? auto what? what is boost?
