  4. very helpful thanks, dont know what/where the cap drum is though :megalol: is it the scratchpad i use for ins input at startup?
  5. so i have to get an stt lock to get an iff response?
  6. Manually? So how do i identify it as friend or foe?
  7. How des it change from unknown to hostile or friendly on the tid?
  8. Ok the stab position gauge then lol
  9. the ap toggle switch also engages auto trim, im pretty sure iv had the problem youre talking about a few times, when you look outside on f2 the stabilators are in pitch up even with full forward stick! the only way ive found to fix it is simply hold nose down trim and itl correct it. look at the trim gauge too thatl read very high. as far as i can tell it happens when the autotrim is on and i let the speed drop at high altitude, my guess is it keep adding more trim to keep the nose up until you end up in or close to a departure/flat spin. i dont know if its a bug or simply bad piloting but its rare now im more used to the plane, i got a it quite a bit when i was new to it
  10. how do i actually use the iff in the back office? hook them on the tid, then press the iff button? or do i hold it for a set amount of time? or do i hold it indeffinately until i get the symbology change?
  11. he didnt say they do, he said it uses the sidewinders own seekerhead which i believe is the case
  12. the viper wqas designed specifically to be an amazing dogfighter
  13. clean isnt massively realistic though, id love to see that graph with a few missiles on, also turn the overg limiter off for the hornet too
  14. thats brilliant
  15. i think wcs switch is on the right and the tcs is on the left
  16. you really are an idiot, youre large part of the reason this thread is so toxic, youre a disgrace to the forum
  17.
  18. fly her like a huge warbird
  19. No but they only know ive locked them up, not that ive fired on ghem
  20. i didnt know they got a launch warning for a sarh, bugger i was hoping itd be sneaky sneaky. so atm the phoenix is sarh until a set point (16 sec to impact?) then goes active? so it isnt active off the rail then (apart from acm mode)? thanks for the reply
  21. Tws auto and jester lantirn ftw! Any idea when the ohoenix chsnges are happening?
  22. Thats an extremely cool addition to the flight model!
  23. so pdstt will effectively be a massive sparrow? target gets no launch warning at all? sarh/dl, is that datalink? what happens if you do a tws launch >10nm then immediately bugger off? any ideas when this is happening? what actually happens now? is it always active off the rail atm??
  24. sorry if this has already been answered, i did try to read the whole thread but god damn its like wading through radioactive treacle! way too toxic to read through it all! what happens to the missile iff i launch at say 50 miles then instantly turn and run away bravely? iv tested that a few times and it can still nail the target, whats actually happening? is it simply proceeding to the point it was already heading for then go pitbull as normal? if so then it will work against unaware/non manuevering taregets. is it going pitbull as soon as the mothership loses lock? whats the effective range of the missiles own radar? and is it purely pd or can it switch to pulse?
