hi im trying to add custom commands directly into the dcs default lua (i dont mind addind it back in every update) what im struggling with is how to add on else off into the control. (its for wing and tail position lights on the f14) i added , else off, into the line and thats what it shows in controls ingame but when i bind it it just behaves as normal so does switch off when i release the switch, iv tried addind down =1 up = 0 aswell and no joy, what do i actually need to do?

trying to follow that now, struggling though lol, it sounds exactly what i want though. iv tried adding else off to the control line and it does SHOW in the controls but binding it doesnt work

is there any way to add extra keybinds eg wing/tail position lights bright/dim/off, thats 3 seperate binds, some controls have on else off setting, can that control line be altered to do that here? ie tail pos light bright else off, tail pos light dim else off. this would allow a 2 pos + off switch to bind it. i use that for other stuff.

the tacan is an arse to read for me, fuel gaugfe is ok but i cant check it while im actually refuelling. icls channel can be tricky to see which 1 its actually on but apart from that everythings ok, for speed i tend to just glance at the angle of the needle anyway rather than reading the numbers

iv seen 30 miles mentioned but take that with a big pinch of salt as im not 100%

1 anecdote from a pilot that blew my mind (to the point im skeptical about its accuracy) was he got a solid track on a big target (tanker maybe i cant remember now) from something ridiculous like 180 miles away! using said irst

you can flare, its slightly tricky if youre not used to it or more used to the fbw because she has sooooooo much lift she tends to just fly away if youre not careful lol

if half the stries from flight crew are half true and plenty of them actually did number 2 to some extent irl, me personally im british so im a sneaky bugger looking for ways to make things work but i dont flat out cheat. example being i had to find a strike group without knowing where they were coming from. i figured theyd be on a boat so cycled through the standard tacan freqs, boom there they are (where theyre coming from any way) i know if you fire the c in stt its fox 1 all the way and will go duymb if you snip it. is the same true for the c or will it wake up if the awg9 loses the track? agreed, i try to milsim (or mostly) and every single flight has errors in it!

iv heard several pilots mention 54 was near hypersonic, anybody got anywhere near that in game?

itl only activate while gear is down for me, and if you go full mil at all it deactivates it too thats exactly what its for, im guessing its pilot preference because iv seen videos with it being used and not being used, i love it lol

correct, but we dont use labels at all on our server, only for training, just had a play with pd and ssaa with promising results, spotted dot at 20nm but they were highlighted against clouds so thats perfect case

you mean for the mirror? no i havnt tried that, and yeh i use muscle memory too but its still annoying as hell

yes unit spotting, no labels on our servers. i had no idea this was an old thread lol

anybody know how to get better spotting in vr? im hopeless! i do tun high pd (1.7-1.8) with ssaa/msaa off and i use fsr 0.5. should i drop pd turn ssaa up and reduce the fsr??

it never has for me, i regularly get taken out of the game window mid flight by it, i think its hitting something in the start bar, is there anything i can do about it?
