  1. As a mild workaround, you can try pressing Left Win+F1 to toggle head shift movement off. The camera still jitters around slightly, but it's much easier to work with.
  2. Try assigning a modifier switch (in the DCS controls menu itself) to your throttle axis to make it control right engine throttle instead. It overrides the default throttle binding allowing you to have independent throttle control. I have one of the buttons on my T16k's base bound as a switch modifier that switches my TWCS throttle's main axis to right throttle, and the little radar elevation pinky wheel to left throttle, and it works surprisingly well for such cases.
  3. This may be off topic, but what's so bad about the code that it makes it unmoddable? Serious question. I say this as someone who's already messed around with modding the F-14's sounds, and nothing about the code (I assume you mean the .sdef files?) seemed particularly difficult to work with compared to any other sound files in DCS. Except of course, the aforementioned some sounds being too loud/audible at too great distances at idle, but I assume this is a DCS limitation of sorts/is WIP, and as it sounds fine at max power (and in the cockpit) it makes sense that it isn't a top priority for the devs atm.
  4. Looks like it was included
  5. This works fine for me with my set of 8 Bside songs. Do you have them labeled as BSideSong1, BSideSong2, BSideSong3, etc.? If you don't hear anything when attempting to play them, then try the following: load in, press the walkman switch side keybind, press the walkman rewind button and let it rewind for a couple seconds (you should hear the mechanism rewinding), then play. You should be hearing the end of your last Bside song. After that, you should be able to rewind to the beginning and start from your first song. When trying to add my own Bside songs I was confused for a while, before realizing that it starts at the end of the last Bside song when you first switch sides (since that's actually modeled). Hope that makes sense. I would upload my song set if it weren't copyrighted music :(
  6. New sounds are wonderful! I've never seen a Merlin Spitfire in person before but in third person view it sounds exactly like the P-51s I've seen at idle, taking off, flying by, etc. The cockpit sounds wonderful too; I haven't gotten to fly in a P-51, but I got to ride in one when it was doing a post-maintenance ground run and it sounds very close to that (though slightly different since it's a Mustang and not a spit obviously :P). Thanks so much though, simply flying around is even more enjoyable now! :D
  7. I noticed the new sounds too! It seems like all jets got new ones, not just the MiG-29? Things like tankers and AWACS seem to have more sounds, and sound even better in flybys. It's amazing how much better DCS sounds than most other sims on the market. Thanks ED. :D
  8. Looks awesome! Can't wait to see it ingame
  9. Hi, I found this thread after quite quickly discovering this mildly infuriating bug (though now fixed ) when I bought the Spitfire. However, it seems that the download link doesn't work anymore, as in it leads to a 404 page :(. Could you re-upload this mod, if it's possible? Thank you
