  1. @Bozon Thank you! That does indeed sound like the best plan. As long as the beer still has a place in your sortie, then all is well with the world!
  2. Yep, I'd like both. I'm a fan of Westland Helicopters. I'd also like to see the Lynx in both army and navy variants, along with a Puma and a Merlin.

    Templates

Does anyone know if the official templates are available anywhere? I know the question has been asked countless times but there still seems to be no info (that I could find) on livery templates. I'm really getting back into this helo following the recent major updates and would love to create some skins for it.
  4. Well, after reading this thread because I found myself in a similar position to OP where I felt like a total failure with this aircraft, I'm actually feeling much better about things. I only picked up the Mossie a couple of days ago, and I've spent a frustrating amount of time spinning and exploding in flames trying to get the bird off the ground. But now I'm reading about how difficult the Mosquito was to fly in real life, and that most - if not all - other Mossie pilots in DCS have experienced this massive learning curve. And that's great, because it means I'm not alone. So now, all I want to do is keep practicing. It's changed my mindset and increased my confidence and determination. So much so, that I've just successfully completed my first takeoff, took a short flight along the Kent coast, unloaded the cannons and machine guns into a few ground targets, and RTB. Unfortunately, my landing didn't go as smoothly! So I'll keep trying! Huge thanks to those who have shared their tips and advice!
  5. That's not really the point though is it. It's immersion breaking. And all the while the pointer can be moved out of the way, it reappears the moment you switch views or click something in the cockpit.
  6. This is doing my head in! I only recently returned to DCS after a year away and already I'm annoyed by the introduction of something which I never experienced in previous versions! There must be a way of fixing this at least temporarily by editing a cfg or lua file somewhere?
  7. This would likely require a lot of work to implement, but it does seem a bit silly that we have the WSPS equipment on the Huey and the Gazelle, but only as a cosmetic item. WSPS is standard on the Kiowa too, meaning another helo joining the fleet with decorative spikes. Low level and confined areas flying could really benefit from a functional WSPS in some regions, particularly at night.
  8. This is what I did and it works fine for me.
  9. I did see that livery, but I was talking about the red/grey rescue livery which was a familiar sight on both the Sea King and Wessex back in the day. I have plans to try to create some rescue missions involving multiple helos, and the Sea King would be an asset to those.
  10. That's cool! I'd love to see it in RAF/RN rescue liveries!
  11. I personally think the Sea King is long overdue anyway. It's a very well known multi-role helicopter which could be put to a ton of uses in DCS World as a flyable aircraft as well as an AI one. I like transport missions in the Mi-8, so i'd love to try some rescue missions in a Sea King!
  12. Hi guys. Any updates on this as yet? I'm trying to create a mission in a blizzard but can't get beyond the 9℃ lower limit.
  13. Is the fix only available in Open Beta? I have the Steam version and haven't received any patches yet.
  14. I'm having this issue too. Only just bought this module (through Steam), and as much fun as it is to fly, this bug is annoying enough for me to be considering returning the module for a refund. :(
  15. Thanks for the reply, ebabil. Yeah the 3D model was my own mistake because i'm still relatively new to the Huey, and it was the first time i'd flown it without hardpoints. Seeing that the WSPS had disappeared as well, I thought it had been updated! The sound is epic now! It really does sound like a Huey, especially when it's some distance away from the camera. It makes for some awesome replay viewing! :P
