  1. I was trying to hover with another player in Copilot Position in the SA342M. Tried to get into Autohover for over 5 minutes. Can you even autohover with 2 players in the Chopper? or am I supposed to try to keep it in a hover ,which is near to impossible.

I want to troubleshoot the error messages from the lua code I have generated .Now a lot of the dcs.log messages have given me a line of code in my lua that I can look at so I fix the error in the code . These errors spit out all that information, but none of it points the way to where the errors in my code might lie. So now I want to dig deeper into the log so I can at least find out what I did to cause the errors to be added into dcs.log file. Here are the two latest errors I am chasing down .   5. Hey that is kewl Chump I just had brought up a scoring related bug and they said they had fixed that section of code only a couple of weeks ago and so I got the latest moose . Now , I bet that flag has been set as on by default. I just need some code to shut it off at mission Startup and I can Frat away at will ... not good to be an enemy spy in my mission ... I am FREE > I think... One option is to be able to set a very High value into self.Fratricide this way you can still get penalized but you would not get the boot until you like massacre your whole airport or more even . I will see if I can get access to it and make it huge. simple enough , Just use existing method . I am wondering if others will have to make the switch in their missions in order to not get players booted ? SCORING:SetFratricide(Fratricide)
  6. Hmm well the mission script was written by myself and I have been running it for just over 2 years now ... I did just upgrade yesterday to the latest moose engine and I don't know if it has come out of that release OR possibly from the latest DCS release? .Well, I do suspect it is the latest moose since I just put it in . Anyhow I now get that death message that literally stops me from playing the game anymore. and anyone else that commits fratricide. I do think it would make a nice option for mission builders to select whether to use or not ,depending on their mission . Right now ,it's killing mine !!!
  7. ... Well I crashed into another enemy aircraft in multiplayer and it now comes up with that message. Which completely ruins the multiplayer game since I am running the game, and since I get booted out of the mission that I am running. So basically now the whole multiplayer game gets STOPPED. Not what we want at all. How can I stop this from Happening during the game? I need to stop it from shutting the whole game down. If someone crashed into something and dies they SHOULD NOT BE BOOTED OUT OF THE GAME. Penalize them for any fratricide , but PLEASE do not stop the whole game. It takes forever to load a new multiplayer game in .Especially for many players and they will just give up I would think if they had to do that everytime that they crash into something and get BOOTED out.... Ack , really frustrating to be honest ... On another note , I had written a Sortie where two of our Soldiers were corrupt and delivering our goods to the enemy. They needed to be assassinated in order to be stopped. Points for doing this were given out and the soldiers (honest ones) got respawned. So, I guess I will dump that Sortie and remove all the code that supported it.

  9. They must be joking us. On my logitech Extreme 3d pro joystick there is NO WAY I can make it's yaw and pitch stay stable enough to get the vertical speed in the center. I spent wayyyyy too much time trying to do that simple thing you would think . If I change my joystick profile to deaden the center or change it in any way to fly this chopper ,then the Joystick becomes no good for flying every other type of aircraft I am using the joystick for. OMG I just read one of the last posts and found out I did not have AUTOPILOT Master on .. All the above was true and would have remained as until I flipped this switch on. Maybe they can put that crucial fact somewhere in BOLD font in their manual . Mind you if they put everything I needed in BOLD they'd run outa ink!!
  10. Hi I just started adding in custom goals that are used by the moose's scoring system. When the code runs it both adds the points and then adds a PENALTY of the same amount of points it just gave the player. Since there is only one number that you input when you call the scoring method, and since I make it positive and never negative , I have no IDEA what is wrong and none on how to fix it. When I call this method it is outputting both POSITIVE & NEGATIVE numbers I assume which end up going into the Score/Penalty Values that get displayed at game time.   11. Basically , I go into this Helicopter and I can't select position 3 at all . Bug for sure , as I used to be able to do this in the earlier versions of DCS itself. So I am pretty sure the bug got created in the latest beta release of DCS .
  12. I have to report this bug here as there is no FORUM at all for the SA 342 and its Variants SA 342L , SA 342M , SA 342 Minigun. Basically , I go into this Helicopter and I can't select position 3 at all . Bug for sure , as I used to be able to do this in the earlier versions of DCS itself. So I am pretty sure the bug got created in the latest beta release of DCS . Well, I must admit 99 outa 100 bugs that I find while I am testing my mission are my bugs . And I keep on thinking there are still a few hiding in there somewheres....
  13. Heheh , I wish someone would get excited over this bug in the moose engine ... How do I connect with the team that is working on moose right now I wonder? A bug like this I might be able to recode for them .Seems simple enough ,anyhow that is. ..

  15. oh , maybe that module did come from the moose engine If I spot any bugs in the future I will try to send as much info I can dig up on them .. I have also noticed another one using moose's scoring system and reported it here at dcs forums somewheres ..

I have a mission written that had run quite well for months ,even years which relied on the CARGOSLINGING flag was set to true. Now that information seems not to spawn or respawn with the statics . Can you change the code so that it will do this again? You see, there is no method available for me to set or reset this flag or I would be able to code it myself in lua. Who do I report this bug to? I should also take it out of the UH-1 section as the Helicopters seem to work fine ?

  18. Note : In the Briefing area of ME I have lately had an image load problem that would wipe all the images that were stored out every time I tried to load an image. Maybe it corrupted these things as well.. I am deleting and recreating the whole lot of them to see if that will do something to fix this . Anyhow, Here is the Code snippet that I am using the ReSpawnAt method of a Static in. It has meshed with my other code quite well for over 20 months or so. inpStatic:ReSpawnAt(staticRandomPoint, 0, 1) I had just rewritten and gone over several functions I had created almost two years ago so I could add in Goal Scoring as well as more Helicopters dropping off Cargo at Al Dhafra (Mi-8s) and so on. So I thought maybe I had done something in there , much of the core code had changed. Later... By Testing in a UH-1 shows I can use F6 & be able to Select these statics when they are at their original position on the map. ... .... Replacing them all with new statics did not work . When they get moved to a new location these Statics Definitely do LOSE their ability to be CARGO. The only thing I can now assume is it IS a BUG somewhere else than in my code or ME settings. Really , there is nothing I could have written and I am thinking that is causing these Statics to have inverted their IsCargo property flag from true to false. There is no where I can even look at or change that property using moose and lua coding so I am thinking it must be a new bug.
  19. I have all Cargos inside a Cargo Set and use the ForEach method on each static. Each Static Name is a Unique One for sure. I just did a repair on DCS because I don't think they are all just suddenly not going to work with the Huey you see Some Cargo sets still work , and these ones went weird...
  20. F6 Radio Command to find Cargo does not see any of the respawned cargo static objects anymore Yes they are checked as Cargo . Yes the code had worked before for a long time . Yes the static(s) spawned ok at the new location. Now when I start the Uh-1 over the cargo static location I can't use the F6 to Select the Sling Cargo so that I can it pick up . Is this a bug in this latest version? I don't know anything that I might have even written into the lua code that would have blocked the Uh-1 from using the F6 Cargo command. On the hunt for the answer ...
  21. Hi NineLine the mission has grown in size so I had better upload the latest copy of it and you can use that. Been busy trying out stuff like the moose scoring system used for my goals and of course also much time testing out the code in the simulator. anyhow I just updated it at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ and searching the downloads by my user name will show up the two copies, Day & Night.   23. yes ,this is another fascinating area . Now I would be happy to send along a group of bombers that would completely sink the wreckage from the map. this would 1) take it out of the shipping lanes so it does not affect the traffic 2) take it off the Harpoons target list ,a large wreckage attracts them like flies to honey 3) remove it from the game database I would assume 4) make alot of aspects of the game go faster of course 5) other good things too wild to imagine In order to make this happen , I would get the coordinates of the wreckage first I guess and bombs away & then DCS can remove it from the database (Just a thought anyhow)
  24. Hi , I have been working hard on getting a few Train related sorties ready for the release of my mission Chop-U ,in April. I started lua coding this mission *(which uses the moose engine) some two years ago in April of that year. Now I have a few good sorties created for F18's and the choppers that we fly all the time. I would love to get this part working: I have a 'late-activated' SA342-Minstrel loaded up with missiles that are meant to shoot at nearby invaders. When we get into its area they won't fire their weapons at all. Not sure what to do. I have a running schedule that tells the SA342-Minstrel to route over to a moving trains position every 30 seconds. I don't think that should affect how they react to incoming threats. I have put the SA342s into all sorts of class types , CAS, etc . Nothing seems to make them shoot their missiles ! Oddly enough I have another 'late-activated' SA342-Minstrel that has fired it's missiles at the RAT generated F18's in the same mission.
  25. I see. Now when I test my missions I do test them for 14 hrs to 24 hrs and the ships don't seem to sink in that time period. I think most missions are not meant to run that long, but in Chop-U there we use the 'mooses' scoring system and respawn ships. I guess we can only harpoon a couple then and switch back to GBU's for the rest of the mission.
