  1. this is just lovely.... wow...
  2. This is looking pretty nice... hope the windscreen doesnt give you a distorted view of the monitor ahead... what software are you using which enables the MFD's to come up on the second monitor... and does it brings down the performance down...?
  3. IMHO I think DCS should give simulations a break(or work in parallel) cause they have already achieved something really marvelous... let it seep into our viens for a while... and start designing Campaigns based on true/hypothetical events... So next time we would be buying complete campaigns rather than buying a whole new aircraft... or they can keep both things going in parallel well thats upto them... Beggers cant be choosers... How i would like to play this game now... I purchase any realstic(true/hypothetical events based on A10 History) campaign from DCS and it follows as mentioned below... Campaign starts here 1. I start by reading and learning the manual... i sit in a basic selection test some written, some flying... and based on that they give a Rank and attach me to a squarden. 2. I go through a training sorties in peace time... 3. When the time arrives i am deployed to the Front. a) Like silent hunter i am advised to go to my next deployment base. b) I gear up... inspect my plane... fuel options if required... start up... head to the next base ( it can be carrier). c) plan my fuel on the way ... make radio contacts... d) touch down at the forward base... report. e) Given my first mission... gear up... and complete the task... RTB f) As per current setup of DCS A10, my rank would move up and the game will go further based on my previous mission progress. 4. Mission Accomplished...
  4. We like to move on so quickly... dont we?... for example we start polling for the next aircraft right after the new one is released... IMHO at first i would rather become an ACE on A10C than polling for a new model all together... I have also done it, i have also started similar poles... but i feel its not Justified for the Hardwork DCS puts in one thing and the game itself... its a good idea of working on the Maps now... i think DCS should give simulations a break cause they have already achieved something really marvelous... let it seep into our viens for a while... and start designing Campaigns based on true/hypothetical events... 5. Test 2: Saitek Operation - Button Coversion to a Toggle Switch. Connected the Saitek buttons on the left side circuit to one of the toggle switches on my custom made panel. It was a Double throw Switch, hence it had to be connected to two buttons, to give its full capability and in result it serves 3 positions function ON-OFF-ON... Configured it for "Elcetrical Power Panel's Inverter Switch function" on DCS A10C, when its UP=Inverter Stby, OFF=Inverter OFF and ON=Inverter Test... Since on OFF position the toggle does not send any signal, so you have to make some changes in the LUA files of your joystick's configuration page; see example: TigerShark's Video- How to configure on DCS A10C. Dont get confused with Armament Panel shown in the picture.... This just for experiment purposes... Result: Success
  6. Your videos motivated me to open up my joystick and test out things... which worked as well... Yes i have seen that inverter bit and applied in my case... its working the way you have shown in your video...
  7. hi, what type of screens have you used behind mfd's?
  8. I presume single throw switch would be required where single function is needed and double for two functions right? an other thing i wanted to ask was i have two toggle switches having same six poles at the back but one is double throw and the other single throw. . . Why is that.
  9. Yes you are right.... i did manage to attach wires from the joy buttons to the toggle switch... configured on A10C controls and guess what... It's Alive..... works perfectly, I am happy :)... only one issue which is a fact that 1 two way toggle takes up two buttons... and saitek has 11 buttons and a HAT switch... i'll be able to attach 5 two way and 1 one way i suppose... but thankx for the feed...
  10. TigerShark, Your thread titled "How To: Build a A-10 flight panel controller" and i am trying to make one based on your videos, instructions and then sharing my progress with you... I just made a new thread just that you could help me out... would really appreciate it.... Thanks
  11. I am thinking of making a Custom Hotas(Just to bridge the Gap till i Buy my own TM WT) out of Saitek Cyborg EVO... Keeping MS Sidewinder as a Default Stick... Test 1:Two Joysticks working simultaneously I wanted to see if both of them work simultaneously... and it did... i configured Saitek's throttle as the common throttle and disabled the one on Sidewinder... Success!! Test 2: Saitek Operation - Button Coversion to a Toggle Switch. Have opened ou Saitek as you can see... From a laymans point of view i see a main card in the center and Left and Right Circuit card on both the sides which are connecting the buttons to the main card along with LEd's. Risky Bit, TigerShark i need your help in guiding me what to do next. Aim is to Attach a Two Way Toggle switch replacing current buttons, as far as i understand the upper four wires coming out of left circuit are for LED's and the Lower four are catering the three buttons... In which the green is the Ground one.... Plan of Action is to Cut off two wires say Red and Yellow and attach them on the toggle Up and down Poles and attach the ground one in the Middle... Is this the way to go about it...? Pic as under

  14. Feed, Thanks... Did what you mention in your text, system gives the following error when i click "OK" in order to proceed... Dont have any idea what it is... do you know anything about it...? Tiger Shark, Sorry! for deviating from the course of this thread but will revert back to it when this issue is solved... cause after this i need your guidance...
  15. Trimming is not working as its titled in the Control Settings menu... correct me if i am worng here... for example Actions------------------Keyboard-----Reaction Trim Left wing down----,+RCtrl------Trim Nose Down Trim Nose Up -----------.+RCtrl-----Trim LeftWing Down Trim Right Wing Down--/+RCtrl-----Trim Nose Up Trim Nose Down-------- ;+RCtrl----- Trim Right Wing Down "Action" what is mentioned in the control setting menu "Keyboard" configuration setting "Reaction" what happens in the simulation mode. what i did that i configured it in such a way that it trims left when hit hat switch left, trims right when i hit hat switch right so and so forth... please advise whats needs to be done here... __________________
  16. nice... as in... damn its that much realistic... i did not know... yes i would like to hear the issue behind it...
  17. Question In one of your video you mentioned that we can use usb interface cards from an old joystick and configure its keys on the command options on DCS A10C... i just attached an extra joystick along with my actual one on my pc... in the options menu it is now showing both of them at the same time with same buttons configuration... what i wanted to check was if i could use the slider for throttle on one them and the stick on the other... will it work or no... and it didnt... there was no clash of configuration or something... any clue why it is not working... by the way the default joystick i am using is Microsoft forcefeedback and saitek evo for the slider... Idea: thinking of opening the saitek and coverting it into a Homemade HOTAS... Need guidance...
  18. -Initially i was thinking of getting myself TM MFD's and putting up two 7"x5" LCDs behind them... have zero technical knowledge, so I was asking how can i make it possible... -On the other hand i think what you have done is much better solution, it would not only give me MFD Displays but oter front panel instruments as well.... -Is helo free though...?
  19. and yeah i only see a transport helo over here.
  20. Please correct me if i am wrong, the idea of DCS coming up with such detailed sims is not just to cater gun ho pilots who want to kill kill and just kill.... Rather its an attitude, passion for flying realistically... As much it can get... If huey is not your cup of tea then how about black hawk... Its advanced, has all those mfd's... Why i chose huey was the sheer history behind it, and i just love the sound of its blades cutting through the air... Well its just my openion, you may or may not agree to it. Once in a while one should take up a difficult tasks as trasnporting troops to hot zones... Anyways...
  21. You are right sir they all are double throw swtiches except the smaller ones... i am going to need one double throw switch for ALT SCE...
  22. Bell Huey How about Bell Huey be the next DCS Sim in Vietnam Senario...?
  23. Knock Knock!!!! Hey guys I need some help here... please sombody reply to this post.
