  1. Hi Guys, need you input. As per the DCS-Bios user guide, I managed to sketch and hook up the inputs, 1 x Potentiometer and 1 x Rotary endcoder with push button for BS Abris. Ran the first test with Potentiometer and its sketch, it worked lovely, but was turning in the opposite direction, so I swapped the GND with 5V, and ran the program again. This time the knob was turning, but wasnt moving smoothly, but instead it was jumping or lagging. I started to turn it very slowly, in the sim it very slowly started to keep up with my physical movement, after like 2- 3 mins, it became normal. Why is that? Second, I attached the Rotary encoder, which too was in the opposite so i swapped the buttons in the sketch. it worked fine but needed a lot of physical turns, why is that? The comparison of the physical movement and the sim movement is 1:3/4, as in when i was making a full physical turn, the knob in the sim was turning only 3/4th of that of what I was doing outside, why is that? and can this be synchronized? I dont know if you guys are still using this thread or not, I have just started working on DCS Bios, and I know I am far far behind. Please bear with me and guide me. Cheers
  2. Yes, it worked. awe! what an amazing feeling. Thanks for your response Dehuman.
  3. Hi Guys, Loving it so far, I am totally a noob to DCS Bios. After uploading the code on the Arduino, I selected COM4 and typed the same in Notepad, But when I ran the CMD file, it showed an error. saying the following, please advise what am I doing wrong here. 4. Hi Bad CrC, could you and anyone else please direct me to a post that describes how to do the following. I am trying to use a physical led push button work for the Altitude hold push button in black shark. I have attached the button with Leo Bodnar BUX0836X board. The button itself is working, but I dont know how to make the LED work as well. The push button has four poles at the back, two are for +5v and GND, the other seem to be for the led light. The first two are attached with the board, thus working, I do not know where to attach the wiring for the LED poles - & +. Please advise.
  5. Hi LeCuvier, I read your tutorial for the coding. Thanks for your effort. I plan to build panels for black shark. On the last page of your tutorial you mentioned that process 5.7 will not be satisfactory for BS toggle switches, why do you think so? cause I tried the 5.7 process for the master arms toggle switch and it worked. i am just a layman, just want to know why do you think so.
  6. Hey all, anybody using saitek cyborg evo with DCS A10c...? I need its LUA file created in the config/input/Aircrafts/A-10C/joystick/saitek cyborg evo.lua...
  7. how come DCS A10 detects Saitek EVO Joystick in the keys configuration page but does not have Device Profile file in the Config/Input folder...???
  8. thanks tiger and mike... another thing tigerShark, based on your scripting tutorial i did find saitek cyborg evo LUA file in Black Shark Config/Input/Aircrafts/KA50/joystick/SaitekcyborgEVO and then edited it. But in DCS A10 it wasnt showing cyborg evo stick lua instead it was showing Saitek X52's LUA file... how come!!!! i never have that one at all/ or its a by deault file ... then why isnt it showing EVO's LUA file???
  9. Superb Job.... something i would want to do, have the stuff but not the knowledge.... bravo.......
  10. Hi Tiger Shark, I managed to edit the LUA files of A10 and Black Shark in order to solve the toggle switch issues like you showed in your video tutorials and it worked perfectly... wanted to do the same with FSX but couldnt find its LUA files... can you help me with that.... thanks
  11. Based on Tiger Shark's threads i managed to edit A10 & Black Shark's LUA files inorder to adjust my toggle switches... Can anybody tell me how to do the same with FSX, cant seem to find the LUA files!!!
  12. Sorry mate for a delayed response, was out of the picture for quite some time... yeah the panel is made out of 1/4" THK MDF sheet spray painted black with a print out of titles pasted on top... Not back lit or something... Costed me about 6$ in total... including switches...
  13. Niiiiiiice... care to teach how to do this...?
  14. Hey really nice setup... i am too planning to do something similar when i get enough money... i wanted to ask what is your system configuration for such a setup and does the frame rate drops...?
  15. 1.How about an option of "putting up customed Nose Art"...? 2.Secondly how about having your kills symbols showing on the side of your plane next to the nose art... 3.Having Marshals doing their thing... I think this would be great... what do you guys think...? Just imagine taking off from a carrier, marshals doing the hand signals... sweet....
  16. So i can use several BU0836X cards if a single usb can handle 127 devices, but the Game DCS A10C will read each card as a single human interface...right? if so.. wont the game go mad say if i put 10 BU0836X cards other than my Joystick... Or is it better to get 2 or 3 Master cards attcah them through a USB Expansion card... in this case the game will read it as one Human interface with several input option...? which one is better...??
  17. How about using Master card and usb expansion cards by Opencockpits??? any insight on these...???
  18. thanks all of you guys... i think making these work is out of my league's job... no i am building A10C pit, thought it would give it somewhat better look... yeah i know these are taken out of F86's pit... i guess i should stick to helios or something... if anyone wants these lemme know...
  19. KLaFaille have you figured out how many of BU0836X cards will be utilized in completing the cockpit?? and how are going to attach all of them to your pc...?? cause i have heard that a pc cant take alot of usb's at the same time...
  20. Can I make these work for my pitbuild ... or some how check if they are in working condition...??? i am really a layman in electronics n all so need guidance...
  21. Phase 2: Operation Time... Took every thing off from Saitek... no hard feeling. Thinking which way to go next... either attach it with my previously build Armament Panel OR Convert it into a double throttle similar to WT HOTAS (but ofcourse i'll have to see how much it would serve me in terms of number of buttons) I have following options: Buttons = 12 Axis Controls = 4 8 Way hat switch = 1 LED Connections = 7 Hands On Throttle Setup China Hat = 2 buttons Boat Switch = 2 Buttons Speed Brake = 2 Buttons Left Throttle Button = 1 Button Coolie Hat = 4 way hat switch Slew control = 4 Way hat switch Mic Switch = 4 way hat switch Pinky Switch = 2 Buttons Buttons I have, 2 x 4way hat swiches are missing... if i could somehow use the remaining buttons and use remaining 4 positions out of my 8 way hat switch... then that would cover all of them... And yeah one more thing with those 4 x Roteries i can make double Throttle as well... Hence I Will go with the HOTAS option, panel i can always attach later on when i get my own TM WT
  22. Yeah I even dream while keeping the Budget in mind... well thats me... Out of all of this i just have couple of original front panel instruments and the seat... i know the seat looks weird, but its an actual seat of a heli... i'll maybe modify it later... make it look better....
  23. how do you do the MFD extraction lua... need some guidance if not a problem... thanks
