1. ..yes, I was very lazy the last weeks. But just while you have posted I have the editor open to 'fix' it. Please just copy the Rays.tag into ...DCS World\Bazar\Effects\PostEffects until the new fully 1.2.6 version is online. Or just use this slightly edited version - it is already compatible with 1.2.6 - it will have less bloom around the sun. And you are free to use any HDR setting you like unless you use a HD69XX GPU. >>> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=113826
2. Windows Start >> Control Panel >> Folder Options >> View tab > advanced settings > Hidden files and folders > Check "Show hidden files, folders and drives" ..but before you add Phantommonitorfix.exe to your start-up folder I would highly suggest to test it first. - simply by executing the file and see how DCS behaves. @ Moderators and ED-Testers Please pass this bug and the possible fix to the Developers. Phantommonitorfix is a fairly simple Auto-It script that just looks for a window that is triggered by the DCS.exe process. Than it measures the whole available desktop and places the window to the left/top most possible position. Don't have the exact code to reproduced it now by hand - but I can re-engineer it easily when there is a need and you want to have a un-compiled version of this script.
3. Please elaborate - what request?
4. 1. Record a Track. 2. Capture this track with a screen capture software and convert it to a video. 3. Edit the files in DCS that you want to have in comparison. (i'ts the server.lua in this case. ) 4. Rerun the tack and capture it again like in step 2. 5. Now Run both videos you have recorded side by side synchronised and capture it again with the screencapture software. (BTW I'm using BB FlasgBack Pro recorder) Other side-by-side example that was exactly done in the same way: ...and while going absolutely off-topic... Her is my favoured 1:1 comparison:
5. Please load up the exact files you are adding and tell me where exactly you put them in - I will have a look.
6. Whatever the cause is... I don't know - But the "PhantomMonitorFix" may cure this. This little script shifts the active DCS window always to the absulute Top/Left of your whole desktop as soon you click on it and make it active. You may have to execute it with administrator rights. Tip - place the exe or a shortcut of this script it in your startup folder , C:\Users\>User Name<\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup to lower your workload . So it is loaded when your system boots and you don't have to manually start it any more. - it has no measurable footprint and only gets active when a DCS.exe processes is running. EDIT: I made a quick test myself - and I can confirm it. And I also can confirm that the Phantommonitor fix is fixing it ! Something must be wrong how DCS is detecting the whole desktop in 1.2.6 I rearranged my desktop and switched off Eyefinity and Softth so I have to run DCS windowed and I can reproduce your situation. This test below is made with a HD 7950 and 13.10 drivers. DCS resolution is set to match my whole desktop = 6240x1024 (5 monitors) and the top/left monitor is set as main-screen.
7. Sure something has slipped through my fingers... Made a hasty edit yesterday and also mixed up two times the files while uploading.... ;) @All When you think you have found a bug please also provide a Screen-shot and maybe a track - so I can see what you are talking about . And/or describe it more detailed , so I don't have to guess or ask what exactly you are talking about. A simple "doesn't work" doesn't cut it and leaves more questions as answers. ;) Help me to help you! :) Will tomorrow have again time to fiddle around with it , and when I have already some pointers at what exactly to look at would help me immense to save some time. What I'm most interested ATM: I don't have the 'standalone' A-10A and Su-25 , I only own FC3 and made the mods for the new standalone FC3 planes only by examining the code without having the ability to test them. My Question: Does 'KNEEBOARD_MOD_for_A-10A_1.2.6' and 'KNEEBOARD_MOD_for_Su-25_1.2.6' work ?
8. sorry, this was not my intention to say exactly this - anyway- I "think" you got what I was talking about :). By what it got fixed and which games? Do you have a Trackir 4/5 running or any evidence to say that TrackIR isn't working as it should/can in 1.2.6 ?
9. I made a little shader edit for a friend with a HD 6970 on newst catalyst drivers and I got up to now enough positive feedback to say that the Flashing white artefacts are really gone. So I think its time to give this fix a own thread, so other find it easily in the first post. Here is the Fix: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1865107#post1865107 Use the files in the "Version for HD 69XX GPU Users" folder ! [download] Make sure you use the Normal HDR setting.
10. Cant, be at all. This mod doesn't change at all any cockpit devises (you install it in your saved-games view folder)- you must use a other mod that is pre-1.2.6 and changes the device_init.lua or cockpit textures/model. Clean up your JSGM mods folder of any old stuff that is altering the Huey and do what is suggested here:Some notes on v.1.2.6
11. errr... , video is recorded 2x times to play it side-by side on 15frames a sec and add the compression on the top..... I wouldn't call it a true representation of smoothness in the sim. All what the video has to show (and it does it pretty good I think) is the changes in the shouldersize. - beside this - it provides no other meaningful data. Before we get into thinking and believing... (I prefer to do such things only in a church ;).. - and I have to admit that I hardly can recall when it last happened.) Have you made the tests I suggested? - I made them, and I had no change of any 'jitter' (if there at all) that is new or increased or wasn't there before the shulderzise was introduced.
12. Why??? - who told you this?! Rider , I made some tests with 1.2.6 and I can asure you that it's working like before. I can limit my FOV without any problems in each module by changing this single line: You must give us a little more detailed explanation about the 'what' and 'when' to expect some help. - posting a sample of your used code and attaching a track men this bug occurs may be a good idea. See:
13. Lange, Whatever it is you experiencing... "Imho, what seems to be simulated are ones eye-movements when looking sideways at fast moving terrain. ..." I can tell you that it's not caused by DCS . And the only thing what's new , as already pointed out , is the 'SchoulderSize' function. It simulates a 15-20cm head shift to the side when looking further back as 90° - and that's a very close representation what happens in real live when reaching the 'gimbals-limits' of your neck. Here is a 1:1 comparison of the new 'ShoulderSize' functionality. - both sides use the exact same Track-Ir input via a Track replay. And nothing like a 'jitter' or whatever is added. - This must happen at your end and has to do something how your Tracjk-IR sees your tracking dots or you system is processing your movement to slow. Examine the "Camera" window in your Track-Ir software to see what the camera sees. I would suggest to change change your "Light Filter Threshold" setting of your Track-Ir camera and/or move it closer to your head somehow. So you have a more reliable and smother tracking. Here is a way to cancel out any inputs/interpretation of your head movement of the DCS. Download the server.lua and place it in your saved-games folder as instructed >>> Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck. But don't use it as t is - please make these edits (red) to cancel out any direct influences of the sim to your head movement - so you have it 1:1 as Track-Ir passes the info to DCS: If afterwards you still have the impression that there is something like "stuttery motion of the passing terrain/landscape" -it's definitive not inside of DCS - It's your system and how it's set-up.
14. Thanks for adding the Kneeboard to the Ka-50 and A-10C in 1.2.6 !
15. KNEEBOARD_Tablet_Mod_PP_Beta1.8.5_for DCSWORLD_1.2.6 [DOWNLOAD] Sorry ,There is no proper ReadMe up to now - only install if you know what you are doing! Some hints: "KNEEBOARD_BASE_MOD_Su-25T_Ka-50_A10C_Install_first_1.2.6" has to be installed first on DCS World 1.2.6 - The 'Base Mod' already works on the the 2u-25T and also for a possible A-10C and/or Ka-50 install. After this step install Kneeboard MODS for other Modules only if you have them also installed in DCS World 1.2.6 - or DCS will crash. Each Plane has a own image folder in: DCS World\KNEEBOARD_MOD_PeterP\Custom_Charts\ The view-port for the 2D Kneebord is called "KNEEBOARD" and works right now for all modules ( it will be separated again in a later release). And I added a second Kneeboard for the Co-Pilot in the Huey. : Note that the Waypoints on the map are right now only visible on the Pilot-kneeboard. They are missing in the Co-Pilot Kneebord EDIT: New version 'Beta 1.8.5' is up ! Now the kneeboard for the Mi-8MT is working - I placed it on the center console - so you can see and zoom in from all cockpit seats : Here is some content for the Mi-8 Kneeboard : Mi-8MTV2 QuickStart aid in the Kneeboard
16. Important setting for FFB-Stick users :
17. Please Post a DxDiag.TXT
18. Works (semi) off-line too. You will have to create a Hardware code on the machine of your brother. >>> http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Troubleshooting:starforce:5.x#Official_StarForce_FAQ_and_guides_.28activation.2C_deactivation.29
19. Fix for lag in the FFB-Stick input after hitting the trim button in the UH-1H after patch 1.2.6 >>> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.ph...80#post1866980
20. Fix for lag in the FFB-Stick input after hitting the trim button in the UH-1H after patch 1.2.6 : Open ...\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\FM\FMOptions.lua and edit line #51 and set the sticktimelag value from 0.5 to 0. sticktimelag=0;..or simply copy attached file into the ...\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\FM folder and allow to overwrite. FMOptions.lua
21. It's friendlier for your eyes in various light conditions. Example: Bright sky and Dark cockpit = your Iris needs more time to open/readjust when you look into the cockpit . When you have a brighter cockpit-tone the time that is needed for readjusting your eyes is significant shorter and it doesn't tires your eyes as much as if you would have a dark cockpit.
22. ..but you sure forgot to move/delete your old controller-profiles in your "Saved Games" directory.
23. White flashing boxes are still there with a HD 69XX GPU,... but I made a Mod that removed them when using HDR Normal setting . Try it >>> OK - my friend had the the flashing whit boxes...
24. Yes there is: Open the profile for the controller that you want to mdifiy in a editor proper (Notepad++) and add following lines directly in the next line after this one: keyCommands = { (it's normally line #12) You find your currently used profiles for each plane\module and each controller in C:\>username<\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\... This is how is has to look: keyCommands = { {down = 3001, cockpit_device_id = 1, value_down = 1, name = "Kneeboard Next Page", category = "Kneeboard"}, {down = iCommandPlaneShowKneeboard, name = "Kneeboard ON/OFF", category = "Kneeboard"}, {down = 3002, cockpit_device_id = 1, value_down = 1, name = "Kneeboard Previous Page", category = "Kneeboard"}, {down = 3003, cockpit_device_id = 1, value_down = 1, name = "Kneeboard current position mark point", category = "Kneeboard"}, {down = iCommandPlaneShowKneeboard, up = iCommandPlaneShowKneeboard, value_down = 1, value_up = -1, name = "Kneeboard glance view", category = "Kneeboard"}, When it's done right you can assign your buttons for the Knee-board category.
25. Try this: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/myserials.php Unbind your serial and than start the MP GUI again. Hope this helps.
