Exactly. All these things, beeing it a resource management system or persistent planes or more elaborate failures, should be optional. If you like it, turn it on. If you don't like it, turn it off.
  2. Talking about football and soccer... :)
  3. And suddenly the term "fatal exception" gets a whole new level of meaning.
  4. A ha! So that's what those two rotatable knobs on ABRIS are for!:megalol:
  5. Now that sounds very interesting! Actually I'd suggest to go for DCS. Hopefully FC3 will be compatible with it anyways.
  6. Last two times I flew this mission both Mi-24 got destroyed. First try: My wingmen killed the Hinds and we all survived. (Although I got killed by a BMP a little later. ) Second try: I killed both Hinds. (And as you might imagine I was pretty happy after that. :smilewink: ) Got a lock around 10 or 11 km and shot the first at aproximately 7 km. After that I sent in my wingmen. I shot the second Hind at somewhere around 5 or 6 km. They got two of my wingmen though. My point is: You can shoot them down, but it's difficult. Use Vikhrs and enable AA mode. But I agree, it is possible and maybe even the better idea to avoid them completely.
  7. An improved logbook would indeed be very nice. I know that it is mostly for fun and does not bring any real value but I'd like to see more improved statistics, like exactly what kind of targets I did destroy (57 x T-72, 2 x Mi-24 and so on).
  8. A Black Hawk would be nice.
  9. This looks interresting. But personally I would prefer the warning lights exactly like they are in reality.

Persistent plane damage, engine wear, repairs and malfunctioning equipment would be the big number one on my list. That would put a real meaning to preflight checks. All of this should be optional of course.
  12. Awesome video, and pretty long. Although quite dated, but who cares. :)
  13. Make it Tetris, it's a Russian bird after all. ;)
  14. That's nice. :)
  15. Just tried it and completely missed the rendevouz with the other choppers. Or to be more precise: I was at the right spot at the right time, but I wasn't able to see the other two. Guess they got lost, because, you know, I was there and they didn't... *cough* :music_whistling: So after that royal screw up I stopped the mission. Will try again tomorrow though. Looks like fun. :)
  16. Unless money is a big issue: Get TrackIR.
  17. Well, would I like to see this? Yeah sure, so voted yes. But honestly I can't believe this would/could ever happen.
  18. Only problem we had was in the second mission after destroying the AAA emplacement on the hill. After dropping the troops the Mi-8 hovered for a couple minutes over the hill and then started drifting all around the place. But eventually he remembered that he wanted to fly back home. Other than that it was smooth sailing so far.

    Hello

Welcome to the world of buttons and switches. :)
  20. In any case you might want to read this, strongly recommended: BS Auto Pilot description and operation :joystick:
  21. Take a look at: http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop You can fly the Su-25, Su-25T, F-15, Mig-29, Su-33 and A-10A. Flaming Cliffs 3 will be compatible with Black Shark 2 and Warthog, but the aircraft and flight models are not as detailed as those two DCS modules.
  22. DCS:"War in the Pacific" - oh yeah! :pilotfly:
  23. The sound you hear is a mob of Phantom lovers who come to drag you outside to give you a good flogging. :)

    Hi all

Welcome to the world of buttons and switches. :)
  25. If this only happens when you are capturing an OGV video then this obviously has something to with it. Maybe you should try another recording software, like Fraps.
