Noticing that when I lock a target with the PL-5 seeker with radar off it will not track the target and misses just about every time. When I turn the radar on and lock a target with both radar and the PL-5 seeker then the missile hits every time. I looked up the PL-5E to see if the missile had any kind of radar guidance and it appears it does not, only infrared.

In testing it seems that once we have a target locked with a PL-5 the T2 push button will not cage the seeker head as listed in the HOTAS reference. The only way to unlock a target from a PL-5 is to use the change weapon selector.

That was it, So it's RP1 and not RP30 to get them to import. So now I can import those coords and then copy/paste them into the WP slots and can make a flight plan that way. At least until the ability to directly import WPs is implemented.
-
So when creating RP or PP points from the F10 map, After marking the map, updating the DTC, Installing and uploading the DTC. Shouldn't the DST list be populated with the new coordinates in the appropriate slot RP30 should populate slot 30 in DST? Doesn't seem to be working this way.

So there is some confusion here. Don't want to be a pain but we want the videos we make about the JF-17 module to be as accurate as possible. The red and green lights on the wings flash when the position light is switched from steady to flash. Formation lights don't generally have that option so that probably needs looking into. In aviation, position/navigation lights are red and green on the wings, white on the tail. Formation lights are usually luminescent strips on the edges of the wings and tails, or could be small white lights. Can you take a look, pretty sure that something isn't correct or China/Pakistan have made an interesting departure from aviation standards..lol Standard Position/Nav lighting-

Exterior lights are bugged, Formation switch turns on position lights, No formation lights are activated. When position lights are switched on, only the tail position light comes on. When Anti-collision light is switched on nothing happens, When it is switched to tow then they come on. Over all the whole lighting panel needs to be looked at as it is not set up correctly.

A good way to learn how to work the radio and to get positive feedback is to use SRS. Connect to a server but start a mission in single player. This should load it up into SRS. Then move the overlay to the center of the screen and play with the radio. This will help to know when you have a channel selected, changed, etc. Otherwise there is no feedback to confirm you have done it correctly.

There is a very small area around the throttle cage that you can click to cage it and shut off the engine. It's so small I can't describe it's location. We do have a video coming out about shutdown today or tomorrow. Then you can get a visual location of where it is.

[Collections] What you want to be able to bind in keyboard/device
GR Ripcord replied to uboats's topic in JF-17 Thunder
Most if not all should be able to be mapped to external devices. A lot of people have button/switch boxes that mimic the cockpit switches and they are easier to get to rather than manipulating a mouse. Take it a step further and some have full cockpits made up and have enough switches/buttons to map everything. It is just a good idea to give people the option. The most popular modules have the ability to map just about everything. -
I already know how to tune the radio and set presets. What I would like is to set up the presets before the mission and since it isn't in ME I can just put it in the .lua just like I would do the countermeasures on the F-16 before they implemented it. It won't cause any issues with IC, It's just changing numbers...and if it does, that is what a backup file is for. I am assuming you don't know where this file is?
-
How about the location of the .lua file with all of the presets? If we can't change them in the ME right now then we should be able to modify the .lua file presets. Any idea where that is?

There is also a quick access button for SMS on the bottom of the left MFCD.

They are coming, We have a couple out now and are working on them as quick as we can. We don't have a manual either so we are learning on the fly like you, we are quickly getting the hang of it. Link to the JF-17 videos are in the 3rd party tutorials section under DEKA JF-17 THUNDER. or search Grim Reapers on YT.

When the canopy is off due to opening while in flight, It is not replaced when repairing the airplane. Please look into this. b

If you see private videos, this indicates that there are videos in the release queue for a scheduled release. :) -
