Yesterday one of my engagement ended up in a dogfight. I managed to shoot down my oponent, but I could not see any bullet trace when using the gun. Is it normal with the F16? PS: I was in VR.

Yes oil and gas, in Equinor. I am indeed geologist. That's why I am amazed to fly over the Iranian Zagros belt in the GP map! I spent a lot of time working out the rocks down there ;).

Thanks guys. I will definitevely stick to the RL setup  By the way, cool to see that I am not the only Oslo citizen to fly in DCS MAXSenna. Maybe one day we should try to fly together online.

Hi all. This week I tried for the first time to fly my F16 in VR. I remarked that the HMCS is only displayed on my right eye. I guess it is normal? Not optimal, though... Cheers,

Hi all. I am very new on the server, just started yesterday, without a lot of suvvess since I was mostly figthing problems on my stupid hotas... Anyway, I have some quick questions about CAP tasking. AI hostile fighters are spawned 'randomly', at a rate depending on the number of active players. Is the spawning location radom, or does it make some sense about the fighters provenance, i.e. coming from the enemy base. Do they have some basic objectives like defending A/G targets, or are they just flying a CAP following a given flight plan and waiting to be engaged? Thanks for the infos, I am as curious as I am a poor pilot :) -
I fully agree with you!!!

Thanks, that's interesting :) I also found the "unoficial user manual". It is maybe not up to date, but I can see that there is some weapon restrictions on the Caucasus map. Is that still the case? If Fox3 are banned, then the M2000 becomes indeed much more competitive...

Hello folk. Does anyone successfuly fly the Mirage on Blueflag, or is it worthless because of no Fox3 and datalink? I am enjoying the single player Campaign, but I plan to move toward Multi soon. Blueflag servers look very interesting, but I am afraid I need to go for a more modern bird first (I would kill for a M2000-5...). I have a bit of experience with BMS so the F-16 is an option. Cheers,

Thanks Phantom :)

I was wondering how are AA training engagements resolved. I mean, pilots do not shoot real missiles, so is there somewhere a computer who simulates the movement/position of virtual missiles and check if there is a kill or not? How does that work?
-
Definitively the Mirage 2000-5, and maybe the Phantom

Hmm, I think I will have to use a bit of the little time I have for DCS to do some testing...

Hello folks, I came through Lucas Wolta's recommendations to set up graphic options (antialiasing etc...) in NVIDIA rather than in DCS. I know it obviously depends of CPU, graphic card and RAM, but I am curious to know if you guys are using NVIDIA or DCS graphic options. Also, did you guys use the shader MOD, does it really bring a frame rate uplift? Thanks for sharing experiences :)

Simple (and certainly stupid) question. Is it possible to hide the transparent popup telling "No Radio Connected..." when playing offline?
-
Thanks for the info. Briefings give four frequencies for the ATC. If I remember well they are from top to bottom AM (within VHF range), VHF, UHF, HF. So you would recommend to use the first one for communication with the ATC? Yesterday I tried for the first time the Liberation Dynamic Campaign. I was surprised to see that the briefing was giving me the same UHF frequency (251 Mhz) for both the flight and the ATC. Normal?
-
... Here they are. On the M2000 the main/green radio is VHF-UHF, and the secondary UHF. Correct? Let say I want to contact an ATC on the 251 Mhz. Both radio can be set up to a frequency of 251 Mhz. So both radio will work for contacting the ATC if I set them to 251 MHz? Also, What's the difference between a VHF AM and a VHF FM? Which one do we have on the M2000C? I just installed Vaicom Pro tonight and I got some difficulties to contact my Wingman and the Tower... I need a bit of training but I see the potential :)

Ho. So far I only played with the M-2000. I didn't realized that each aircraft has its own the blackout modeling...
-
I really like the way blackouts are modeled in IL-2 Sturmovik. I mean not only about the vision blackout but also fading of surrounding sound plus by this very particular sizzling sound. It remembers me perfectly when I nearly fainted during one of my judo fight :music_whistling: I wish it would be as good in DCS.

Rhaaa sorry sorry that was too obvious for my eyes. I was looking for "2000"... Thank!

Hi all, Is there several M2000 DCE campaigns or only the Desert Mirage 1986 Mod? Sorry, I wasn't brave enough to go through the 106 pages of the thread, and the search engine didn't help me a lot with that :).

Hi folks. I just want on a Blue Flag server for the first time. To do so I had to install the Open Beta version of DCS. And I have been struggling with the radar. Some contact appeared and disappeared regularly, especially when I asked for IFF. Sometimes those contacts were on a radial dashed line showing their direction. I could not lock those contacts. My guess was that the radar showed my the direction of contacts outside of my display. Is that the case? However, I could not see anything when increasing the range...

P.s. I like your Cevert avatar  Good to see a connaisseur  I was not born, but I am anyway nostalgic of that old heroic and dangerous period. When car racing was about mechanic and not electronic...
