  1. I have just uninstalled the KB5001330 update and its made a difference still down on performance, but a definite difference probably about 7 -10fps thank you for the information...
  2. I have the same problem. I have lost so much performance in VR since the update, I use the G2 headset and was getting reasonable frame rates normally between 45-50fps with settings quite high. I am now getting a maximum of 30-32fps with no cloud and 25-27fps with cloud with average settings. Something I have noticed is that changing the settings in DCS make very little difference to my frame rates. 3. The pedals went very quickly sorry it took so long to respond I have been a bit busy. I have decided that the throttle console is £550 its cost me 1200 to build it and its robust and feels absolute quality..
  4. sorry forgot the rudder pedal pictures
  5. selling a new set of BRD rudder pedals based on the Bf 109 only been tested and never used. they are really smooth bearing mounted and all metal £180 I also have a Virpil Mongoose T50 stick with extensions and I have had a bracket made so that it can be fixed securely to a base board and it brings it to just the right height, once again this as never been used. I am open to realistic offers with the bracket it cost nearly £600. its a very nice stick totally adjustable with different cams and onboard adjusters for tension. I also have a throttle unit that I am about to sell I am just making some new metal access panels. Its made from a real tornado throttle unit its very robust 98% of the parts are real aircraft parts. every switch and control movements works. it has 50 switch activations not including the undercarriage lever which is switched, the flap lever can be either rotary or 3 way switch operation. it has to hat switches and a functional joystick on the rear panel. The emergency lever pulls up and across and operates 2 switches automatically during the process. it all operates on 2 Leo Bodner controller boards. Just one thing the throttle unit is quite heavy so it doe not move it sits absolutely solid......
  6. I am approaching the airfield I have everything set by the book but I have a flashing green ils light in the warning panel my waypoint indicator is showing EL the ADI needles are not doing anything would some one know what I might be getting wrong and the waypoint circle on the radar as a line coming out of it what does that mean? Thanks
  7. Since the 1.5.6 update every time I create a new mission and try to start it I go straight to the active map, units start moving but that's all I can do and when try to close it I get a CTD. it happened on the first 1.5.6 update but I ran the repair option which seemed to resolve it but since the latest update the repair option makes no difference.
  8. I can honestly say that I have not seen any difference in frame rates in 1.5.6 I am using the CV1 headset and its performing really well on medium settings with pixel density at 2.1
  9. Using VR if you open the canopy and put your head out it is like the glass is still there as your head passes through it.
  10. Using VR (CV1) I am not getting a frame problem but getting the gun sight problem the propeller is also merging with the edges of the canopy frame.
  11. I am using VR with the CV1 and it as become unusable with this update before this update I could get a very smooth performance but its now really poor even with graphics turned right down.
  12. I can't get it to install into 1.5 does anyone have any idea's.. I get this error.. === Log opened UTC 2016-07-23 06:31:58 INFO : DCS_Updater/2.6.16.58 (Windows NT 6.2.9200; Win64; en-GB) INFO : cmdline: "F:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" --apply install F-5E STATUS: Initializing... 13. You can do a good deal with them too. I managed to get mine for £180 it also had the hat switch missing they got one for me and gave it to me for free.
  14. Well its get there it runs like a dream side panels to make and fit and then decide on switches etc ..
  15. it is very easy to use in FSX\P3D yes it needs a bit of practice and with some aircraft there are few issues that will be fixed but I like it the obvious problem is have no feel of the controls not that I would change the main controls such as the joystick\yoke throttle. I know that the hand is very basic at this moment in time but I am sure this will change with time. It would be nice to think that DCS might take up the leapmotion it is all moving forward so quickly and the same as VR if certain developers don't take it up then they will get left behind. I have not flown Battle of Stalingrad for at least 18 months but with no VR then it is not immersive enough anymore.
  16. FlyInsideFSX which also covers P3D has the feature for FSX\P3D I can honestly say there is no issue regarding tracking your hands. It will become a game changer it needs tweaking but it is definitely getting there..
  17. I have been using leapmotion in FSX\P3D with FlyInside for some time it really is awesome. Some way to go before its the real deal but you are probably talking a few months rather than years its more than usable it picks out your hands with no problem and every slight movement that those digits make. most features in FSX P3D were developed way before any of this so they are developed without any of it in mind. I can't even tell that its attached to the DK2 and I am using it more and more it can make life very easy in the cockpit.
  18. The good thing about it is it will adapt to any aircraft all the options are there the same as any other throttle. The lay out of switches and rotary switches which will be added to the console will be real aircraft switches but from different aircraft, but to use it for a tornado would be nice..
  19. I have been building a new throttle console from a decommissioned throttle unit out of a Tornado. It will be encased in a free standing unit and will include a tornado undercarraige lever and a variety of switches. The throttle grips have 14 switch activations. I will fit potentiometers to the swing wing lever and flap lever the flap lever is also switched in the up-mid-down position the throttles already have potentiometers fitted. I have fitted a LeoBodner controller and will need another one. I am nearly ready to start fitting the case.
  20. Does anyone know if there are any intentions to implement sli into DCS for the Oculus Rift. I believe the drivers have been released by Nvidia to allow this to happen and it should be a big help on fps with DCS?
  21. I think there will always be the different camps when it comes to which developer as is with everything I backed the Oculus camp mainly on experience and what I know. I get a fantastic experience from the DK2 so with what we know of the CV1 I can't lose and as for the price when you look at it and compare it with lets say the next generation of Nvidia graphics card it is probably about the same price. The software development I can't see there being such a big change that it will need any major changes that is the idea of having the DK2 out on the open market. I think Valve\HTC have kept their cards to close to their chest we can only speculate what they might have to offer and will not know for some time. I will not get my Oculus in the first wave my due deliver date will be June and I am happy with that I wanted to give it some thought before I jumped. One major issue that I mentioned before is that much of the experience will also come down to the game developers on how they use what they have been given. I have said for many years that I don't think they get the best out of the sound aspects of gaming they now have the chance to manipulate that side of gaming and the Oculus developers said when they first announced the 3D sound addition is that it will be up the games developers to use it.
  22. I have already ordered my CV1 based on my experience with the DK2 and it as everything I need for Flight simulation its been well tested and seems reliable there seems to be few software problems. I think as far as technology getting better it is already at a very high standard the head tracking is excellent the performance is reasonable and with the higher resolution screens the image will look pretty damned good. I have been using the DK2 for 18 months and would not fly without it.
  23. There is another aspect to this and that is the Software developer because if they do not get their bit right then you can have the best headset that's available and the experience will be poor. I am basically a P3D and DCS user and that's because they are the only flightsim with VR support and I hope that the likes of Battle of Stalingrad are working on VR because I think they will get left behind. The older flightsims that will probably never have support because development as finished and will eventually disappear, unless Steam integrates into all its games which then means for those guys that still use the older games then the Vive is the way to go.. Another thing the first generation headsets will soon be replaced with the next generation so is it worth spending more than you have to at this moment in time.
