  1. if i could master the mission editor id be in 7th heavan - but.......i suck.
  2. jesus - chill people. All i was saying is that this patch will completely revamp the game and more importantly will allow even better MP environments. This alone is worth the $15. I dont care about the interface - the graphics or the shinyness of the aircraft. Playing BS next to a SU - well thats well worth my $15 anyday.
  3. track track track track!
  4. I will be waiting at the door in my sleeping bag with $15 in my hand begging ED to take it from me. Some people just dont get it do they?
  5. that one caught me out as well.
  6. Once bought - you will go looking for games that are Tir optomised - and there are many.
  7. Tir for me - Its cold out.
  8. Gadroc - that looks absolutly amazing. I mean - truly, truly brilliant. The panels thenselves look the part and the gauges are spot on. I love the reflection on the glass and the buttons. Well done.
  9. well done - looks like you had a crappy day for flying :)
  10. I have a printable keyguide on my web server - It might be usefull. It can be downloaded - here.
  11. Great vid - very enjoyable, and finally, proof that stingers do miss. VVVVVVVVVVVV
  12. Waldo - your a star - and like trigger - i now know how to make the flare box thingy work :P I am one of the more serious bunch - i downloaded and printed And Bound the manual but your tutorials are brilliant. Like you i have sat for hours watching the typical "Here is my version of the startup routine and as you can see its the same except i press the lights button before the tiplights button" When your startup tutorial started i actually managed to test the anti spill technology of my keyboard - as a large amount of tea was sprayed across my desk. Well done - hightly entertaining and good fun. cant wait for the Weapons tutorial... rep +1
  13. i was going to post - "Solution - buy bigger HD" but didnt lol Thank you for your post GG.
  14. Dont they all use the same engine? In which case they will use the same libraries and data files. It would be in ED's best interest to share resources. But then the folder structure says different - 1C/Eagle Dynamics - then KA-50. This suggests a different folder for each module.
  15. Its amazing what you can achieve when your distracted....
  16. You know, i read these posts and i still cant believe that we are so lucky, after using simulations like M$ flight sim etc.. I think it is amazing that not only is there such a huge community centered around ED, but that they are active and take such an interest. After years of faceless development - i just love ED's attitude to the people who buy their products. We really are lucky indeed. Keep up the good work. (sorry - derailed slightly but just had to get that in) Please continue with your topic...............
  17. good grief - an excellent reply! Well explained.
  18. Has anyone seen this? Saitek X65F Control System http://www.flightstore.co.uk/saitek-x65f-control-system.asp/simulation/joysticks
  19. Theres really nothing wrong with pots - as long as they are of good quality. In most cases, good quality Pots will outlive the product.
  20. research - research - research....Thats the key. The first thing everyone thinks is "buttons buttons buttons" But idealy the first thing to be planned is the pit itself. What material will you be using? Do you have a plan? What will the panels them selves look like? Once you have that - then you need to be looking at the electronic side of things. First some real advice - If your loking at buttons and toggles for god sake stay away from chain stores, I get everything (that includes 40 buttons this week) from china (hong kong) - Ebay is your friend and is very cheap. If your pit building on a budget - i would recomend Leos stuff. He makes cheap joystick interface cards that can be wired to switches and buttons. he can be found at www.leobodnar.com There are several pit builders here who use the boards and one or two (me and Bad CRC) who use these exclusivly. As for the toggle switches - the contoller that you buy will account for that and there are plenty of people who can help with that when the time comes. In the mean time - welcome to the Pitty section of the forum - and dont be a stranger!
  21. It was PCPilot that hooked me to BS - they did a few pages on it.
  22. Its posts like these that will keep me spending real money on ED products. Thank you Wags.
  23. Hi all. I have tried BSVP a few times but find is almost impossable to fly with it running. I am suffering from huge amounts of lag and my BS wil go from 60Fps to just under 10 - making the game unplayable. Now i know it can be run on a second PC but really i dont want to go down that path. I was hoping that there may be some way to improove performance. I have tried turning off my firewall, and AV but still no joy. I really love BSVP but i rear i (and many others) will never be able to use it without getting another computer running.
