  1. It would make more sense to use them as a high-end ARM. Now that would be putting the H back in HARM :D Is any in-service airframe capable of launching them though?
  2. LMAO, that was a good one. It's so bad a pun that I almost feel guilty for finding it funny, but I can't help it LOL :D
  3. Good news! As it is a helo model the Apache is of course particularly important for v1.2. Is there a Longbow-model in the works too? If not, Joao's model might have a place in LOMAC afterall :)
  4. Looking very good! Don't be too worried about those ED models. They will be released when they'll be released, but I won't count on it happening anytime soon. In the mean time, your model will be a great substitute :)
  5. Well, somebody's already working on one, so the tank stands a good chance.
  6. D-Scythe: Do you still have Joao's permission to use this model in LOMAC? If so it might be time to give this another try, maybe somebody will pick up the model now that it no longer needs to be run past ED for approval. To anyone interested: tools for converting the finished model to LOMAC's 3D model file-format can be found here: http://www.forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=18234
  7. LOL, good point. However the process of submitting models to ED for approval turned out to be very slow, for something that was basically little more than improved artwork. I hope a lot of interesting models will get added/replaced much sooner now.
  8. Very good idea, this could speed up the process of getting some of the older models (F-14, MiG-31) updated and new ones (F-15E!) added. Especially since this may mean that existing models can be adapted for use in LOMAC. This might get some modellers interested.
  9. Fantastic stuff! I don't think the footage is sped up either.
  10. Not to mention the fact that trees will take years to decades to grow that big. I think we can safely assume that things didn't look too different back when it was still operational.
  11. Brilliant! That made my day, thanks :)
  12. I HATE youtube - lots of awesome movies like this Kuznetsov video and no way of downloading them to your HD. What am I supposed to do when I don't have an internet connection available? Damn them to hell!
  13. Not to mention the fact that the Rooivalk is enormous - it's something like twice the size of the Mangusta.
  14. It sure is! Thanks alot.
  15. Good point, I intercepted them over water aswell.
  16. I've done it in Flanker2.51, without a radar lock at that (didn't work in Flanker2.x). Haven't tried in LOMAC.
  17. OTOH you have 'USAF', 'US Navy' or 'Royal Navy' titles on ALCMs, Tomahawks and Polaris missiles (not sure about my namesake missiles) too. Pride? Wicked humour? Your guess is as good as mine ;)
  18. That's how the Tornado F.3 must have come into being, lol ;)
  19. Impressive... most impressive. Thanks!
  20. True, there also is no bottom half anylonger: http://soda.studentsagainstada.de/ila2006/Teil%203/P1000651.JPG (Warning: large image!)
  21. Tough Russian engineering though, going by other photos on a.net the aircraft was flying its display the day after inspite of this incident!
  22. I don't believe anyone here was thinking about a flyable F-15E.
  23. I agree about the nozzle animation, but that's probably a function of the aircraft's 3D-model more than anything else. So, I wouldn't expect to see any improvement in this regard before we get new 3D-models. FWIW, I believe the nozzle animation is not sequenced properly either, it should be wide open at idle thrust and then close down progressively as you throttle up only to open fully again when you go into afterburner. Mobius1, a video would be excellent, thanks!
