  1. Last video is great. Can't wait to buzz the casinos in an F-15C.
  2. Then people will want subterranean combat, and then they'll want space combat, and it goes on and on and on...
  3. Water world would be fun. You could have AWACs or ships directing fighters to enemy ships and aircraft if DCS combined arms lets you have a bit of control over ships. Ships ships ships...ships. I'm done.
  4. Can't wait to kick the tires and light the fires in the new AFM.
  5. Time to read the entrails and prophecise the coming of the next DCS module...
  6. Nope. System is normal temps and stable and not overclocked. But to be fair I think I nailed down the cause for my crashes.
  7. I was able to reproduce the C++ error. I read up on how communication requests to ATC are causing crashes when repeating and responding before the AI has a chance to respond for ATC. Add AWACS to the list. I was requesting picture repeatedly and I guess I requested at the wrong time and it crashed. I'm sure this is what is causing my crashes.
  8. Errors can't be fixed without good data on what is causing them. Yes, I've had more stability issues with this last patch but ED is aware of the issues. To find solutions error reporting is the most constructive thing us users can do.
  9. Looks like this error is under the radar. If I see it pop up again, I'll give a detailed account.
  10. I tried taking the su's and the f-15's out of the mission to see if the A-10C's or the AH-64 are causing trouble but I didn't see an error there.
  11. OK, I ran it a few ways and haven't been able to replicate the error. This mission has a lot of moving pieces so its difficult to tell what is the trigger.
  12. Sadly, I had another C++ runtime error in the mission. happened about when the su-27's took off and showed on RWR.
  13. I installed c++ 2012 and cleaned up the old versions. So far I'm happy to report no crashing while playing the same mission.
  14. attached is the mission. It crashes just about when you get a chance to shoot at the su-27's but I have a feeling its not that causing the crash. There are a few moving pieces in this mission. invasion force blowing up.miz
  15. No crash logs pop up in my log folder after these crashes.
  16. First thing I'll do is uninstall and reinstall c++. May save time and effort.
  17. I have similar problems and I've just reinstalled DCS. I have built a mission and it crashes regularly in the same place. Tonight I'm going to separate groups of units and see whats triggering the crashes. Stay tuned.
  18. cant say anything definite but if you run trackir, I think F9 is used by the hardware by default. You may need to change the key assignment on either your game or the trackir. If you don't have trackir I would think it should work. Try pressing the key combo in the key setup and see if it pops up the command. All the ideas I got.
  19. Alright, hopefully this will be a final update. So I had updated my computer with a new Motherboard and CPU. Since the build everything was working great. Then out of no where the old sound hang, system crash, screens go blank thing happened. I was surprised cause I thought this could be a driver or PSU problem. Before I went to buy new components, I decided to run some thermal tests. My video card seemed to be running hot. TJ Max of the GPU was 104 degrees Celsius and it was running at 99 degrees Celsius. This seemed to warm so I popped open the case and wouldn't you know. Two years of dust was built up on the heat sink and fan. I blew it out, put it back in the computer, and ran another thermal test. Turns out that knocked the temp down 10 degrees Celsius. Moral of the story:smartass:: keep on top of dusting your shit! That is all.
