Well, if its only DCS: World, its not too late. You can still install the free download from this site and start buying modules direct from digitalcombatsimulator.com. Just keep in mind you need LockOn and Flaming Cliffs before you'd be able to use the FC3 module. Or you can wait for the individual releases.

Yeah. Last I heard, Iris has the Microjet, F-14, and the F-22. The F-14 is pegged to go out before the F-22 but I'm not sure if they are releasing the Microjet first or if that was just an internal test for learning the process of producing a DCS module. Either way, excited to see Iris in DCS.

Guys, its a feature. Time slows down when you pull the trigger on a P-51D. This is just simulation at its best.

Well, I would hope after all this griping and waiting it would be a feature. However, we've gone this long without tree crashing. whats a few more years?

This is an issue as old as dirt but when the new terrain model is finally released you will be able to crash into trees all you like :)

Well so far, everything looks like its working just fine. Hope it stays like that. The pilot rescue is my favorite. Challenging to go through it not getting shot down.

I feel like an idiot! Downloading 1.1.1.1 version of A-10C. They're all there.

I've been trying to find some of the missions that came with A-10C before the DCS World. I don't have them and I was wondering if there is a place to download them.

If you have a profile running from TrackIR or a joystick profiler, they usually have keyboard strokes that are reserved for them regardless of what programs are running. I had the same problem with TrackIR a while ago. If this is your problem, goto the TrackIR program and select new keystroke assignments. I think by default F7 is precision mode. I can't remember but check it out. Hope this gives you a good idea.

Idea! so I'm guessing some of you guys are pilots or pilots in training. If you have a FBO that you go to for lessons, hanger service or whatever, let them know about the project. I'm sure they'd be as interested as many of us are.

I'm really excited about this aircraft coming out. Some people are calling foul because it won't be 100% accurate. As was pointed out before, even the A-10C had some approximation done for certain systems. And you know what? I wouldn't have known unless you told me. Now to the F-35A. I think we are going to get a great aircraft to fly. Many of the air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons it carries are already in DCS world. That and the GUI interface for the cockpit has been documented pretty well (the simulator walkthrough of the F-35 cockpit outlined in the kickstarter videos is a great resource). Now that doesn't mean every menu or weapon will fire or work as it does in the real thing at 100%. But what I want and what I think a lot of us want from a DCS product, is a close, thoughtful representation of aircraft and vehicles. So far, I've been seeing that out of DCS World and the modules that have been released and I feel that the F-35A can hit that mark.

Now someone mentioned a few days ago that the f-35 doesn't show up on RWR sensors. I can understand this if it's using a data link from other sensors (AWACS, Ground Radar, other aircraft radars, etc.) but if it was using its own radar, I don't see how it would hide from detection. Sure, radar lock I'm sure would be difficult but wouldn't its radar emissions be detected?

Lets hope this digital program goes better than the real life one. Donated $50 today.

Watching DCS modules for updates is as eventful as watching Duke Nukem Forever development was back in the day.

Ok so I uninstalled and reinstalled DSC world and P-51D. so far it looks like this fixed everything. I was able to fly the P-51D for about 9 minutes and I didn't have a crash (crashes usually happened within 5-7 minutes). I'm so glad to have this all working again.

I'm going to try to do a complete reinstall of DCS. I hope this fixes all the issues I've been having since I've only seen this happen with P-51D. I've tried to view crash logs but there was a big once recently and there was no DCS crash log nor a crash log in the event viewer. basically. I will be flying for about 5 minutes and then the screen blanks due to a loss in signal indicated by my monitor, and the sound clips loudly in repeat. I have no options but the restart. This happens after all files in DCS have full permissions and I have the program running in admin mode.
